Chapter 20: The Woman in the Secret Passage

The display was pitch black, Dr. Prester didn't know what to do, and the GI left with Pierce, leaving only the corpse of the GI killed by Helen on the ground, his head now miserable.

The demon was lying on his stomach, watching that he had been beaten enough, and Andy walked over and gave it a healing needle.

Helen coughed and got up from the ground, a large black bruise on her neck, and the soldier's arm had just grabbed her like an iron pincer, directly suffocating her, almost suffocating to death.

She first examined Eddie and found that he was still unconscious, apparently concussed from being beaten by three GIs, the other children were only frightened, and the youngest child was held by one of them, but he was not injured.

"Addh....?"

She anxiously pushed her boyfriend's body, but he didn't move.

Helen looked at Andy, who had just stood up, and she ran to him for help.

"Are you alright? Please save my boyfriend... He still can't wake up..."

Andy staggered in place, confessing that he was feeling very bad right now, Pierce's attack was too powerful, and the armor on his body also caused him a lot of damage, and the punch was as terrible as a car impact.

"Who are you... Is it the man inside the dome?"

Helen was anxious to speak.

"It's... No, the scientists locked us out, and I don't know why, I'm afraid it's because the leader looks down on us, but Eddie has been in charge of trading with the outside world, and he should know more about it..."

Andy grinned and clutched his stomach and walked up to Eddie, unsure of what exactly he was hurt, and finally gave him a treatment needle.

Ten minutes later, Add finally woke up.

"Oh... Damn..."

He clutched his head and his face twisted in pain, and it took a while before he could communicate with the others.

"That's great, Add..."

Helen hugged him, and the two warmed up for a moment before the atmosphere ended in Andy's relentless coughing voice.

Seeing Andy, who was pale and staring at her with questioning eyes, Helen hurriedly introduced her boyfriend to this life-saver.

"Add, this is the one who saved you just now."

The bearded man looked at Andy and thanked him repeatedly.

"Thank you so much for saving my life, my name is Eddie Gransky and I'm a delivery driver..."

Andy looked at the big dome in the distance and didn't pay much attention to the guy's self-introduction, but just started asking about what he cared about.

"Do you know how to get in? I'm talking about the round building. ”

The bearded man struggled to get up from the ground.

"You said the big dome, right... We couldn't get in, and the scientists told me it was for our own good, and I couldn't figure out what was going on, but we always lived outside the dome... But, actually, I know that there is a secret passage, which was secretly told to me by a girl named Xian among the scientists, and we were going to go there to hide from those terrible cannibal natives, who knows..."

Gransky quickly examined his children, making sure they were all unharmed.

Andy looked at the bearded man, and suddenly remembered that Potter had told him before that there would be an occasional driver coming down to trade with them in the north, it seemed to be from Boulder City, could it be this person?

"Gransky, did you trade with the salvages of Dog City before?"

The bearded man stopped his movements and nodded at Andy to confirm his speculation.

"Yes, that's me, the nerds at the Big Dome ignore the world and say they can't get out, but the Big Dome can't grow supplies on its own, so it's all up to me to use some of the gadgets they found out of it to go to the only settlement around the neighborhood that can be traded, and get something to eat."

He seemed to be a little resentful of the scientists, although he was employed, but the work he had done in the past few years was a bit too dangerous, the scientists had talked to him several times to increase his salary, and he could see that the scientists were very dependent on him to bring back supplies, but he wanted to leave more and more.

But it was just an emotional impulse, and in fact he couldn't go anywhere, not to mention that he hadn't been paid yet, and he had heard that the current state of the Hoover Dam was also very bad, and in that case he had nowhere else to go, so he had to stay here with the scientists.

"Why didn't you go to Dog City after that?"

Gransky shrugged at Andy.

"It's not that I won't go, it's that I can't go. A few months ago, scientists told me they were in dire need of some storage media, like holographic cartridges and stuff, and swore that something big would happen if they couldn't find it, and I wasn't sure what was going on.... But that time when I was out looking for something with a few soldiers, I was confronted by a group of natives, who shot us like madmen, and we had to fight back, and we killed all but one who escaped. ”

"But no one knew that the one who escaped would cause such a terrible thing to come, and the natives must have been with their large army to report the news, so a large group of natives who claimed to be jackals came here and wanted to kill us all... Hell, but they couldn't find their way into the Dome, so they set up checkpoints and guards on several of the main roads leading to the Dome, trying to trap us here completely, and they even found my truck and wrecked it. ”

Helen also interjected a little angrily.

"Originally, that group of natives had besieged us for a long time, although we were not allowed to enter the Great Dome, but the Great Dome was not blocked, who would have wondered if the group of scientists was too afraid of the natives outside, they suddenly closed all the entrances, and almost killed us outside.... Except for the strings, those scientists are really not human! Listening to Helen and her boyfriend's chatter, Andy got a little idea of what was going on.

It seems that the scientists are still working in the dome, but they don't seem to want "no one to wait" in and interfere with them, as can be seen from the tragic situation on the train before, and it is estimated that all the jackals stationed there have been killed by Dr. Prester's soldiers.

"So, where is the secret passage you are talking about to get into the Great Dome?"

Gransky first insisted that it was just a clue they had heard from the string's mouth and never really went to see if they could actually get in, and then described to Andy that there was a collapsed ground further east of the parking lot where a pipe gallery could be accessed.

Andy didn't stop long, and walked towards the east with the limping demon, and soon found the collapse in their mouths.

The concrete pavement seems to have created a huge crack here due to some external factors, and then a hole for people to enter. This is not surprising, given the history of the place and the nuclear explosion in the vicinity, and the dome may be impregnable, but not all the surrounding buildings.

He walked in and found strange pipes everywhere, some of which seemed to be wires, some of which seemed to be fiber optic cables, and some of which were so thick that he didn't know what they were.

With the lights on the Pip-Boy, the surroundings were narrow and dark, and if it weren't for the fact that this might be a hidden entrance, Andy wouldn't have squeezed into this kind of ghost place with no end in sight.

"Can this really get in? ....”

Trudging through the pipe gallery with demons, Andy walked past some foul-smelling puddles and collapsed ruins, and half an hour had passed, and there was still darkness ahead.

"Woohoo! ——”

The demon suddenly ran forward on its own, and Andy couldn't stop it after shouting twice, so he had to follow behind.

The big dog kept running forward, and suddenly a turn broke into a wider space, Andy looked around, it seemed to be a dispatch room or something, and the equipment around it was basically all played.

Without looking around, Andy searched for the demon and soon saw it in a corner with its head down and sniffing something.

It was what looked like a swollen blue plastic bag, but when Andy walked over and looked at it from the front, it was not a plastic bag, but a strange suit made of tough plastic, and the space inside was very large, so it looked bloated on the outside.

At the top there is a transparent mask area, and a woman can be seen lying inside, her eyes closed and unconscious, and the demon is tearing at the suit.

You are a genius, remember in a second: Red Sweet Spring:
