Chapter 64: Talks
A few limp people fell to the ground and groaned under everyone's gaze. The current of the cylinder brain bounced around, almost injuring innocent people in the process.
Although it was a mess, the situation was under control, and in the face of the current situation, the first thing Andy wanted to do was to explain all the relevant situations to these excited guys, especially Marshall.
He walked up to Marshall and kicked his pistol away, then crouched in front of him with his hands in his pockets.
The man was no longer in the same frenzy as before, twitching in embarrassment, and fumbling aimlessly with one hand to find the pistol he had dropped on the ground, which was obviously in vain.
"Hey, Marshall, do you mean to listen to me now?" The other responds with silence.
Through the gas mask, Andy couldn't see the other party's expression clearly, so he took off Marshall's gas mask, and then saw that he actually had a face towel inside the mask.
"No !!" Marshall's eyes widened, and he went crazy to snatch his guards.
Andy stretched out a hand to knock him over, but Marshall pounced on him again like a withdrawal addict had seen the love pill of his dreams.
Although it looks scary, Andy still ruthlessly overthrows this guy to the ground again, as a strong man who is close to full of muscles, playing the weak and thin Marshall is simply handy.
After a few times, Marshall finally stopped the snatching and looked at Andy with resentment.
"You idiot.... Didn't know that there were people with that kind of disease everywhere here? It's going to die! Andy scratched his head and said something that made Marshall jaw-dropping.
"Actually, I also have this disease." Marshall held out a trembling finger and pointed at Andy speechless, then frantically backwards.
"You'd better stop moving, I don't think you want to experience the sensation of electricity flowing through your body again.... Oh, the leather armor you're wearing has helped you gain some defense, otherwise you wouldn't have been able to move like your companions. The tank brain turned the tracks 360 degrees to see a set of shoddy leather armor worn inside Marshall's robes, which seemed to be made mainly of tanned dog skins and lizard skins.
Marshall watched as the strange-looking robot froze and had to stand still. But he still stubbornly covered his face with his hands, looked at everyone around him vigilantly, and scolded the other salvage watchers who were watching to stay farther away.
Andy looked bored for a moment and threw the gas mask back to him. Marshall didn't react, causing the mask to fall to the ground, and he immediately fell to the ground in a dog-eating motion and put the gas mask on his face, as if he was about to become terminally ill a second late.
"There's no need to be so nervous, Marshall, everything is." Andy looked at him helplessly, such a development is actually expected, I don't know what the settlements in those areas outside will become, if the people in power don't do it well, it will lead to the disintegration of the entire settlement, everyone will die or flee, and then irretrievably decline and destruction.
"We.... As you can see, I'm coming back from the Dome, the magical land of the north with which you used to trade, where the scientists have developed a good thing that can give a respite to the seriously ill, and it can also prevent the sick from being infected with the virus, which is this thing in my hand..."Andy took out a small bottle from his coat pocket, and when he opened the lid, he could see some black paste inside.
"It's called a tonic ointment, and with it, things aren't so scary anymore." Marshall looked at it for a moment, unconvinced.
"You put some ash from the bottom of the pot in the bottle, mix it with the mud from the dog's urine, and you're going to lie to me, it's a panacea?" String took off his gas mask and looked at Marshall, the female face that interrupted the breathing of all salvage men for a second or two.
"You clean my mouth... The mud in your eyes is the result of countless efforts and sacrifices, we used ourselves as the first batch of clinical trial subjects, and if you dare to say such things, I will paralyze your whole body and be unable to move, and then let you use your rectum to absorb it well, and feel whether it is the bottom of the pot mixed with wild dog urine..."Marshall was stunned for a moment, turned his head, and still had no trust in his eyes.
Clay was extremely curious about the strings, he hadn't noticed that the strings were female before, and he was more attracted by the cylinder brain, and only now did he suddenly realize that he had ignored something.
"So.... Are you one of those people? I've heard Add say that you all live in a big white metal ball on a hill to the northeast? There was a time when we were really looking forward to trading something from you, but unfortunately the bearded driver who drove the truck never came. String glanced at him, not seeming to be interested, just putting on his gas mask and nodding.
"Eddie is here this time, right in the truck below." Clay ran over and saw the familiar truck, but in some places it seemed to have been refurbished and maintained.
He cheered up and looked at Andy and the others happily.
"Let me guess, you guys bring lots and lots of good stuff, right? It's not just the kind of plaster that can cure the disease, what else? The Jar Brain lifted a bottle of Nuclear Coke and poured it into his own
"Mouth".
"Bring you unimaginable goodies, o boy, look at you poor wretches, you have not even tasted this miraculous drink invented by Mr. John Bradreberton, and only one sip of it is enough to quench all sorrow and sorrow.... This is Nuka-Cola. Clay froze for two seconds, he was a wandering orphan in New California, and for Nuka-Cola, that was a rumor to him.
While it did seem attractive, it was far from what he expected. Jimmy, who had settled in and had been listening to the discussions, stepped forward and appealed.
"Marshall, and everybody else, I'm sure you're all willing to hear from me about the disease, huh..... I'm a doctor after all, um... In short, while this disease is insignificant to super mutants, it is truly terrifying to humans, and I can't find any way to cure or even alleviate the symptoms it causes. Jimmy clasped his chest, and the stains on it peeled off like wall skin.
"The situation is already dangerous, and he will die in a few days if this continues, so instead of letting him follow in the footsteps, why not take this opportunity to try whether this medicine has any effect? If it really works, we won't have anything to fear, Marshall, you won't have to cover yourself all day... When Potter gets better, we'll be okay..."The Tank Brain looked at Jimmy, who was tall and muscular, not humanoid in shock, and its electronic eyes stared at Jimmy's body up and down.
The string noticed this and walked over to it to explain.
"Probably the first time you've seen an individual of this race? We're not too new to this. The tank brain was frantically analyzing, trying to understand what kind of existence this two-meter-two-tall brown-skinned giant in front of him was, he first thought that it was a certain mutant human produced by radiation after the war, but after some cursory observations, he gave up this view, no other, just because the characteristics of this creature obviously had a sense of order.
Although it is as rough as an orc in magic, the giant in front of him is completely different from the wild dogs and ghouls on the road who are ugly due to radiation mutations, and if you ignore his strange body color and exaggerated physique, Jimmy is actually not much different from ordinary people.
After thinking for a moment, it suddenly occurred to him that while he was still a complete person, a section sample and some secret photographs had been sent to the New Plague Special Laboratory of the Great Dome for analysis, and these samples contained a high concentration of retroviruses.
At the request of the Chief Scientist, the scientists were asked to find out the possible direction of improvement in the fight against the new plague virus.
However, it was not long before all relevant research was forcibly stopped, and it was reported that the project was judged to have no potential in the relevant field and was said to be diverted to agricultural use.
After a period of time, scientists signed some confidentiality agreements issued by the SA Army military, and the relevant confidentiality requirements mentioned in them were basically all about those mysterious samples.
The big guy in front of him, who is communicating peacefully with everyone, and even seems to have a little prestige among everyone, has some of his physical characteristics that can clearly coincide with the distorted things in those photos in the eyes of the cylinder brain.... However, the two are not the same in terms of completion.
"Interesting ....." Tank Brain suddenly felt extremely curious about this strange world, what happened to the world after he slept for more than a hundred years?
