Chapter 60: Aquisha's Story Continued VII

As if frozen in the darkness of the night, Akisha's nerves were about to break, and the terrible monster searched for her tracks not far away, and once the monster spotted her, it would catch up with great speed and tear Akisha in half with its huge claws.

Deathclaws were one of the biggest scourges that ravaged the wasteland, and in the early days of New California, these monsters were hordes of people and disappearances, and some even cut off trade routes and killed any creature that dared to come near them.

After the development of NcR's strength, there have been several campaigns against wasteland monsters or beasts, but each time it has been a shallow one, unless the local gentry and tyrants, especially those two-headed ox tycoons or caravan owners, really want the army to clean up the enemies that threaten their property.... Otherwise, the army will often only make a few rounds around the surrounding area close to the settlement, and it will be up to luck to see how much effect it can achieve.

It's not very efficient, but to this day, it's extremely rare for someone like Akisha to grow up in an urban settlement, and to see those rumored monsters.

The deathclaw wandered for a moment, then faded into the darkness. Akisha endured for a while, convinced that the voice had disappeared, and sighed without holding back for a moment.

She didn't know what she was trying to express with her sigh, anyway... This is an impulse, and since she came to the Eastern Special Administrative Region, she has had everything going wrong, and has repeatedly encountered life-and-death crises and terrible mental torture.

Akisha, who grew up in a decent environment, was not completely unforeseen before she mustered up the courage to leave, but the feelings she experienced were very different from those she imagined.

"Rustle...."Just after the sigh, a rush of footsteps reappeared. Akisha was startled and immediately ducked, the footsteps lingering around the boulder before fading after a moment.

Just when she wondered if the monster had really left this time, there was a hissing sound behind her.

Turning her head, deathclaws were staring at her.

"Roarβ€”β€”!!! The big mouth opened violently, and let out a deafening roar, and a circle of air ripples was visible to the naked eye, spreading out in all directions, and Akisha was forced to cover her ears because she felt like she was about to be deaf by the roar.

She ran into the darkness with a rolling belt, and the sound of pursuit behind her was getting closer and closer. But soon the sound of the chase turned into the sound of fighting.

A group of ironworm-like creatures suddenly appeared, and fought with Deathclaw, the laser illuminating the night slightly, but unfortunately hitting the folded thick skin of Deathclaw did not have much effect.

"Roar!" The long, sharp claws tore the fellows to scrap metal, and Akisha noticed that the metal bugs belonged to Tibbetts Prison, as she had seen similar robots subduing inmates during her escape.

A robot notices Aquisha and warns.

"Prisoner, arrest immediately, your escape violates SA...."Before the voice could be played, the robot was destroyed by the claw of deathclaw, although the parts of these robots were also solid objects made of high-quality metal after professional processes, but they still shattered as soon as they were torn apart by deathclaws.

Taking advantage of the scuffle between the two sides, Akisha continued to flee. .................... As the sky grew brighter, Akisha continued her trek through the wasteland, no longer speaking, and almost ceases to think.

Several lizards loomed in the distance, not the barbecue that had been pierced by the mercenaries with a steel skewer, but half-human-sized wasteland creatures.

Their dorsal skin is a little purple, their bodies are covered in a layer of fine scales, and they have large, round and bulging eyes, which are brown in their pupils.

On either side above the large mouth, there were two ears that resembled some kind of strange webbing structure, except that the lizards could control whether they fell or opened.

They stood there in groups of twos and threes, standing upright on only two hind legs, staring at Aquisha motionless.

This is alarming, although lizards are far inferior to deathclaws in combat ability and temper, but if they have a numerical advantage, there are many examples of wastelanders in desert areas who strayed into the lizard's area of activity while traveling alone, and were attacked by a swarm of lizards and killed, and then dismembered.

Aquisha glanced over and saw a lizard sticking out its long tongue and licking its own eyeballs. The two sides were at a stalemate, and in the end Akisha was not attacked, and she didn't know why, maybe the scorching sun made no creature want to waste their energy.

After a few hours of trekking, Akisha confirmed that she was completely lost.

Originally, her idea was to walk southwest to see if she could get back to the Hoover Dam or at least to the area controlled by the NcR, but judging by the clues in front of her, she was definitely not going in that direction, and was only getting more and more desolate along the way.

Just when she was confused, a railway appeared not far away. Akisha couldn't believe her eyes, and she immediately ran over to it, terrified that it was her hallucination.

But when she arrived, she was sure that it was really a railway, and she couldn't help but cheer.

The railroad was a symbol, and Akisha knew that there was a railroad left over from before the war at Hoover Dam that ran through it and then stretched all the way to the far east, which meant that if she found the railroad, Akisha would have a chance to find her way back.

She immediately began to follow the railway, walking for a day and a night, eating all the food she had found before, and had to forage in the desert to pick some cactus fruit or agave to eat.

The wilderness survival skills she'd learned in books were now finally being put to good use, giving her at least enough stamina to keep going.

But the more Achilla walked, the more she felt that something was wrong, and many towering mountains began to appear in front of her, and although the terrain around the Hoover Dam area was somewhat similar, there were still noticeable differences.

However, now that she had gone too far, she had to bite the bullet and keep going. Eventually, the railroad entered a tunnel that cut through the mountains and looked like a black hole.

This time, Akisha had no illusions at all, this was certainly not the area around the Hoover Dam, and she was probably in a rather remote and desolate place because she had lost her way.

Maybe.... She was probably the first NcR to come here, which is not a good thing, and many of the first people to go to the Eastern Special Region did not end well.

A board on the side of the tunnel entrance caught her eye, with rows of intricate codes on it and a scanning device underneath.

This thing seems to be able to read some kind of code of the train the moment the train enters the tunnel, so as to upload or record some data.

This thing is not something that can be seen anywhere, it is really a pre-war technological relic. Akisha knew a lot about the pre-war shelter, and she understood it when she looked at it, and she deduced that it seemed to be connected to a large facility, and that the railroad here ended at the end of the tunnel.

Even a small dashcam device is so high-tech, so what would be inside? Her obsession with pre-war facilities instantly overcame all fear and exhaustion.

So she immediately walked into the tunnel. With the help of the Pip-Boy's lighting, she made her way through the tunnel, and finally she regained her sight and left the tunnel, entering a space inside the mountain.

Something unbelievable happened, and although it looked like a train platform, there was a lot of greenery and some active wildlife in the distance...... A camera hidden in the shadows quietly looked at Akisha.

She didn't notice this at all, and looked around curiously, there were some discarded conductors or electronic waste scattered around a garbage can on the ground, which could be sold for a good price by a random garbage merchant on the wasteland, but they were always thrown here.

This only means that after the war, almost no one came here, and no one picked up these things. The road to leave the train station and continue deeper is not smooth, because of the patches of blue

The "light curtain" enveloped the train station. Akisha saw an electric current pulsing on it, and did not dare to act rashly.

Just then, a voice suddenly sounded.

"Hello." Akisha turned left and right to find the source of the sound without success, she couldn't believe that there was still a talking presence in this pre-war facility, and she thought she was having auditory hallucinations.

But it didn't take long for her to know that it wasn't her mental problem, because a huge blue translucent female figure suddenly appeared in front of her, as if it was an illusory human form composed of blue light.

"What's your name?" The other person made a gesture to speak, and a voice came out again.
