There are two reasons for this:

1. I don't have the ability to write science fiction well, and I don't have ideas and stories in my head. I'm just an ordinary AI practitioner, and I'm not a professional in writing, let alone science fiction. The technical content of this book so far is real, there are papers and examples to check, I think it is better to update with reality than to turn to science fiction and write collapse. It saves the reader from being unable to distinguish which technologies are made up and which are real.

2. My time and energy are not allowed, which is seen in the following personal situation.

Friends who have joined the book friend group know that I actually quit my job at the beginning of July. On the one hand, it was because the company was in arrears on the bonus, and on the other hand, because I was busy with my PhD graduation, so I didn't do any more work.

Originally, I was supposed to be busy with my graduation thesis and job search immediately after resigning, but in order to maintain stable updates, I continued to write until mid-September.

In the early stage of this book, the speed of writing is actually quite fast, but since I have never written such a long, in the middle and late stages, writing articles every day still consumes a lot of my time and energy.

It's a shame that I don't have the ability to write well, or even write easily. However, at this point, the technical content is finally about to keep pace with the progress of reality.

[About the contents of this book]

In fact, there is no clear main line and story in this book, but there is a technical line.

Unlike other stories that are mainly stories, I write stories that are interspersed with AI technology and events.

The main purpose is to write out the main events and algorithms in the process of technology development after the start of deep learning in 2012.

That's the main thing, but I'm sorry that I didn't get the technique and story together very well due to my lack of writing ability and talent.

Many of the details and branches are not written in too much detail, and in the end, only some of the more famous events are written.

I blame me for this, I didn't think about the number of paths when I first started writing, and I didn't implement my own ideas.

I first designed the [Xueba Route].

There is no business involved, so as the storyline develops, more in universities and academic circles, the plot may introduce more technology-related content.

But in the period of about 100,000 words, the first batch of readers who came to interact had a lot of objections to the way the protagonist was divided into the technical division of the Xueba route.

thinks that the protagonist is not ambitious, and all the money will be made by others in the future.

Instead of implementing my own ideas, I inserted some content about whiteness cooperation, investment, and starting my own company.

In retrospect, I made a rather wrong decision, because after I finished writing it, I was not familiar enough with the business and entrepreneurship content, and the writing was very confusing, which led to many plots in the original academic circles that were not easy to write, and some of the more detailed basic research and technical content were not developed.

The original plan was to catch up with about 1.3 million, and the content of reality was written to say that about 1 million might be equal.

The most regrettable thing is that the original group of readers actually rarely continue to read it, which means that the changes and adjustments I made are actually meaningless.

【About the results of this book】

The book is currently 1100 averages, which is actually far beyond my expectations.

Before I put it on the shelves, I had a testimonial, and I felt that three or five hundred were already over, and it was quite rare to write that more than 1,000 were written later.

After all, the plot of this book is not coherent enough, there is basically no emotional mobilization, and even when pretending to be forced, it is mediocre, and the taste of slapping the face is not written.

I believe that what I can see here is all due to my curiosity about AI.

It's easier to learn about some AI technologies through a well-known network than to read a textbook.

This is the only good thing about this book.
