Chapter 421: The Legend of Izanami
In Fuso mythology, Izanami is a mysterious and important goddess. She is one of the gods born to the brother and sister gods Izanagi and Izanami, and is also the goddess of the Yellow Springs of Filth. Her stories and legends hold an important place in Japanese culture as a whole.
Legend has it that at the beginning of the chaos of heaven and earth, Izanagi and Izanami were the eighth pair of gods to be conceived. The gods sent them to earth to take on the responsibility of creating heaven and earth. Before leaving the Celestial Realm, the Tenjin gave Izanagi and Izanami a divine spear called "Tennuma" to help them create the world.
When Izanagi and Izanami came to the earth, they found that there was no land on earth. So, Izanagi stirred in the sea with the Tennuma spear, and when they lifted the spear, the dripping sea water formed the first island. On the island, they erected the Heavenly Pillar (a large pillar connecting heaven and earth) and built a vast house, the Eight Hunt Temple.
After completing these things, Izanagi and Izanami walked around the Heavenly Pillars and agreed to marry when they met again, giving birth to the land and the gods. When the siblings met again, Izanami exclaimed, "Oops! What a wonderful man! And Izanagi quickly said, "Oh, what a beautiful woman." However, since the woman spoke first, which was unlucky in mythology, the first child they gave birth to was a leech (deformed). This leech is regarded as Ebisu, the god of wealth and one of Japan's seven gods of good fortune.
Later, Izanagi and Izanami gave birth to the eight main islands of Japan and gods such as the daidai shinobi god. However, while making the fire god Kakuto, Izanami was burned, and soon fell ill and died.
Legend has it that Izanami's death grieved her husband, Izanagi. He drew the ten-fisted sword he wore (i.e., a ten-handed-long sword, four fingers wide for one). It was also the sword that later killed the Yaqi Great Snake, also known as the Heavenly Feather Feather Chop) that killed the God of Fire, and the blood splashed by the God of Fire turned into eight gods.
After Izanami's death, Izanagi traveled to the Yellow Springs Kingdom to find her. In front of the main hall of the Yellow Springs Kingdom, Izanami opened the door from the hall to greet him. Their story ended in tragedy, but their bravery and sacrifice became an important part of Japanese culture and religion.
In Japanese mythology, the image of Izanami is often associated with death, yellow springs, and the underworld. She is regarded as the goddess of filth in the Yellow Springs, but she is also the goddess of fertility and reproduction. This image shows both her important place in mythology and the unique understanding of life, death, and the world in Japanese culture.
In the endless abyss of time and space, Izanagi, the great guardian deity, embarks on a journey to find Izanami. His wife, Izanami, attracted by the mystical power of the Land of Yellow Springs, is trapped in the depths of Yellow Springs Hinara.
Izanagi's steps were heavy, and every step he took shook the heavens and the earth, as if he were challenging an endless fate. His eyes burned with determination, a deep longing for Izanami and an endless love. His figure appears lonely and firm in the country of yellow springs in Nara, like a god walking in the wind and rain.
Huangquan is better than Nara, a world full of fog and unknowns. The dark mist rolled around him, like a huge magic hand, trying to swallow everything. However, Izanagi was undaunted, and all he had in his eyes was Izanami's figure. He penetrated deep into the interior of the Yellow Springs Binara, filled with bitter cries and mournful laughter, a curse from which the bound soul could not escape.
He walked through the resentful land, and kept moving forward against the bitter cold of the cold wind. In his determined gaze, there was no fear or distress. He has only one goal, and that is to find Izanami and bring her back to the world of light.
Finally, Izanagi found Izanami in the depths of the Yellow Springs Hinara. She was bound to a vast magical enchantment, shrouded in endless darkness. He felt her emaciation and exhaustion, and her eyes were filled with endless pain and helplessness. At this moment, Izanagi's heart was pierced deeply, and he swore to the gods that he would take her out of this dark place.
He reached out and used his power to break the barrier that bound Izanami. A bright light broke through the darkness in an instant, and Izanami was freed from the barrier, a spark of hope shining in her eyes.
Then, they hugged each other tightly, as if to merge each other into their blood. It's the joy of reunion and a celebration of freedom. Their love is like a vast ocean, which cannot be stopped by any force.
In the thick darkness, Izanagi stood alone on the edge of the Yellow Springs Hirazaka. His eyes reflected deep grief and helplessness, like an ocean raged by a strong wind, the waves rolling and stirring with endless sorrow.
He looked ahead, and in the hazy darkness, he saw Izanami's shadow. Her body, once full of energy and charm, is now left with endless pain and struggle. Her skin was as pale as snow, her eyes were full of unspeakable grief, and her smile, the one he once cherished, was now gone.
Izanagi's heart trembled, and he looked away from Izanami's body and into the depths of the Yellow Springs Hirazaka. It was an uncharted realm, a realm of fog and unknown creatures. He felt fear, but he also felt powerless. He couldn't bear Izanami's pain, he couldn't bear her death.
His eyes reflected deep grief and helplessness, like the dimest stars in the night sky, powerless to resist the endless nothingness. His figure swayed in the cold night wind, like a reed about to wither.
He cast a fearful and respectful glance at the abyssally dark Yellow Spring, a realm that even gods would fear. There, the souls of the dead wander, lost in endless shadows. His eyes were full of bitterness and remorse, as if he had tasted all the pain in the world.
He sighed deeply, it was a wail from the bottom of his heart, a symbol of his despair and helplessness. Then, he slowly walked into the depths of the Yellow Springs Binara. The air there was stagnant and oppressive, like a huge tomb.
He came to Izanami's body, her once-beautiful face had withered, gray and cold. Her body seemed to be swallowed by endless darkness, leaving nothing but emptiness and confusion. Izanagi looked at her, and the pain in his heart turned to ashes like a tree scorched by fire.
Then, he made a decision. He turned around, turned his back to Izanami, and walked towards the depths of the Yellow Springs Hirazaka. His heart was filled with pain and guilt, but his pace did not stop. He chose to escape, he chose to give up.
In the darkness, Izanagi walked alone. His heart was filled with sorrow and endless loneliness. He lost his way in the Yellow Springs Hirasaka, but he never looked back. He abandoned Izanami and left her alone to face the coldness and loneliness of death.
