Chapter 64: Someone Is Born to Be a Business Brain (Part II)
Bi Yuntao chased after Mao Shufen, and the classmates in Zhan Zhizhan's dormitory knew it. When he first expressed his heart, Bi Yuntao wrote a Tibetan poem to Mao Shufen on New Year's Day based on Mao Shufen's name: "Who knows about love and hatred, Mao Ju is self-defeating, the lady is drunk, and the fragrance will be sometimes." ”
Although this seven-character quatrain is not neat, it is full of true feelings. After Mao Shufen read it, she was shocked. Hazy? Abstract? Stream of consciousness? Ultra-modern? Beasts? Perhaps this poem is written bluntly enough, and Mao Shufen's IQ can comprehend it, so she happily accepted the "condom" and fell under her pomegranate skirt.
After listening to Zhan Zhizhan's words, Bi Yuntao pondered for a long time before he said: "Old Zhan, you are very right! If you buy and sell, you will make a profit and lose money, and it is impossible to have a business that makes a steady profit and does not lose money. However, just like the 'five stresses and four beauties' that are being carried out at present, the establishment of a harmonious and harmonious human relationship is emphasized, which is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. The principle of my book stand is to 'righteousness is supreme', advocating 'righteousness before profit', 'righteousness before profit', 'seeing the benefit of the right', and 'seeing the meaning of the right'. ”
"What do you say?" Zhan Zhizhan is often proud to be born in the land of saints, and the sage books he claims to read are difficult for ordinary people to reach. However, Bi Yuntao's tongue twister, "righteousness" and "benefit", confused Zhan Zhizhan.
Bi Yuntao scratched his head and said with some embarrassment: "Oh...... What I mean by 'righteousness is supreme' is the core of the Confucian concept of righteousness and benefit, and it is also the purpose of my business. By 'profit' I mean personal benefit, and 'gain' means what is obtained. And 'righteousness' originally referred to national interests and national interests. This sentence emphasizes that the interests of society are higher than the interests of the individual, and emphasizes the moral obligation of the individual to the whole. It is the spirit of collectivism that is rooted in society and culture, and then extends to the whole nation and state. ”
Bi Yuntao's words made Zhan Zhizhan annoyed to hear it. He shook his head again and again and said, "Oops...... My mother-in-law! Let's talk about your book pavilion, how did you pull out the country and the nation, and what kind of collectivist spirit is coming? Aren't you shouting slogans, are you going to graduate school to become a teacher after graduation? ”
In the early 80s, people liked to shout slogans. In May 1980, the magazine "Shenzhou Youth" compiled and distributed a letter from a reader, which immediately triggered a six-month-long discussion on the outlook on life and values covering the whole country. The people who participated in the discussion had different opinions and did not agree with each other, and the huge differences and confusion in terms of outlook on life and values highlighted by this became a problem that urgently needed to be resolved at the beginning of reform and opening up.
On 25 February 1981, nine units across the country jointly issued an initiative calling on the people of the whole country, especially the vast number of young people, to carry out civilized and polite activities with "stressing civility, politeness, hygiene, order, and morality" and "beauty of language, soul, behavior, and environment" as the main contents. It was the most direct, popular, and catchy moral education that young people had ever received at that time.
The youth not only shouted, but religiously practiced it. The school's Youth League Committee and Student Union not only organized the students to take to the streets to publicize the "Five Stresses and Four Beauties," but also beat more flies every day to see whose clothes were stained with small dirt. Like a spring breeze, the initiative quickly spread throughout the country, and the "five stresses and four beauties" activities were vividly and lively. As the "Five Stresses and Four Beauty" has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, its content has also been constantly enriched, so that its value orientation has become clearer.
Many years later, when Zhan Zhizhan and his classmates got together and talked about their college life, the "five stresses and four beauties" of that year were still a topic that the students talked about. It can be seen that the "Five Stresses and Four Beauties" have left a good memory for everyone who has experienced that era. Once, Wu Yanmei, who became the secretary of the Youth League Committee of a prefecture-level city in Gansu, was particularly touched: "'Five stresses and four beauties' is not just a term in the old days. This term engraves the vivid marks of an era, and also carries people's memories of the passage of time and the revival of all things...... It gives space to the soul, it gives space to beauty, and it also expresses people's desire for order, civilization, and morality. The 'five stresses and four beauties' have written a wonderful chapter in the building of socialist spiritual civilization at the beginning of reform and opening up. ”
"Lilac" Yan Ruoxia was even more divine, and she actually remembered the small poem made by Zhan Zhizhan's bedmate, Bi Yuntao, a talented man, at a "Five Stresses and Four Beauties" speech: "I love you, motherland!" I love the light song of the waves on the coast of the South China Sea, and I love the silver wrap of the northern country. The spring breeze of 'five stresses and four beauties' is like fire. We think, we are anxious! We work hard, we develop! We work hard, we explore! We trek, we fight! To usher in a new motherland! ”
The first "Civility and Courtesy Month for All" began. The main content is to focus on the "dirty, chaotic and poor" environment, and call for the formation of a "youth service team" and a "learning from Lei Feng group" to carry out a wide range of activities of "serving you and helping others".
After being unwilling, Butou University organized students to participate in voluntary labor in the class unit, such as planting trees on the school campus and engaging in public health. As for the joke that the "cold-faced laughing star" said decades later that he learned Lei Feng to do good deeds when he was a child, and crossed the street with the old lady on the street, making the old lady unable to return home for a day. Although it was an exaggeration, it was indeed a common thing at the time. Not only elementary school students, but also college students go shopping, and when they meet old men, old ladies, or blind people or other disabled people crossing the street, they will also come forward to help them. At that time, people were very simple and kind, and they were all proud of "learning from Lei Feng to do good deeds", and they didn't dare to think that there was such a thing as "hitting guns". Unlike decades later, when everyone is in danger, they don't dare to help the elderly when they fall on the street, for fear of being abused. So that "should the elderly be helped when they fall" has become a very absurd issue of social focus, and there are even experts who say that "not helping when you are in danger" and "not saving you when you die" is not illegal from a legal perspective.
Mencius said, "The old and the old, the young and the young." It means honoring and supporting one's own elderly so that it can be extended to the elderly of others, and raising and educating one's own children so that it can be extended to the children of others. This is the traditional Chinese virtue, which cannot only emphasize "everyone for one" and stay away from "one for all". Just like a singer sang in "The Dedication of Love" sung affectionately at the 1989 Spring Festival Gala: "As long as everyone gives a little love, the world will become a beautiful world!" ”
In the activity of "serving you and helping others", the Department of Electronics of Butou University has organized a "College Student Love Service Team", which is very famous in the society. Their main activity is to take to the streets on Sundays and volunteer to help people repair various household appliances. The "College Student Love Service Team" and the "Xinglin Learning Lei Feng Group" of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine were jointly commended by the Provincial Youth League Committee.
Bi Yuntao's face turned red and said, "Old Zhan, you insult Sven!" Stubborn and unteachable! ”
After saying that, Bi Yuntao turned around and left angrily. In fact, how could Zhan Zhizhan not know that Chinese culture has a long history and is broad and profound. As the essence of Chinese culture, traditional Chinese virtues contain rich ideological and moral resources, which have not only played a huge role in shaping the spirit of the Chinese nation and influencing the way of thinking and behavior of the Chinese nation in history. The spirit of "righteousness first" is an important part of it. It's just that Zhan Zhizhan just doesn't admit defeat and likes to fight the arrogance of "condoms".
Since Bi Yuntao told Zhan Zhizhan about "righteousness is supreme", it aroused his strong curiosity. Zhan Zhizhan soaked in the library for many days, gambling and vowing to understand "righteousness". The hard work paid off, and Zhan Zhizhan finally had a preliminary understanding of "righteousness".
With new knowledge, there is a natural urge to show off. When Zhan Zhizhan once went to the dark room of Zhuo Bufan's house and chatted with Zhuo Bufan about "righteousness is the best", Zhuo Bufan was stunned at first, and then said: "Yes! Confucianism clearly advocates 'seeing the righteousness' and 'seeing the benefit and thinking about the righteousness', and opposes 'seeing the profit and forgetting the righteousness'! 'Acting for the sake of profit' advocates that when facing interests, we should first think of moral requirements and whether benefits belong to oneself and should be obtained. That is, 'a gentleman loves money and takes it in a good way'. It is opposed to putting morality behind when it sees profits, and even taking the pursuit of personal interests as the basic criterion for acting. ”
After listening to Zhuo Bufan's words, Zhan Zhizhan realized that he had a superficial understanding of "righteousness". Hurriedly and humbly asked: "Brother Fanfan, does this mean that as long as it is morally required and deserves benefits, it can be obtained with peace of mind?" ”
Zhuo Bufan smiled and said, "Hehe...... Right! It is what Confucius said, 'Rich and can be sought, even if the whip is a man, I will do it.' I understand that it is to oppose 'seeking profit by righteousness' in terms of motivation, but it is acceptable to 'gain from righteousness' in terms of results. That is to say, it is opposed to doing profit in the name of benevolence and righteousness in terms of subjective motives, but it is not opposed to obtaining legitimate benefits, especially public interests, because of righteousness in terms of objective effects. This is most typically reflected in the story of 'Mencius meeting King Hui of Liang'. Faced with the question of King Hui of Liang, "If you come from thousands of miles away, there will be Eli and my country", Mencius said, "Why should the king be profitable, and there is also benevolence and righteousness." On the surface, Mencius seems to have set morality and interest in opposition, emphasizing only 'righteousness' rather than 'profit'. In fact, Mencius believed that the result of practicing benevolence and righteousness was 'the king of the world'. That is, to end the war and move towards reunification. This is not only the greatest interest of the Li people, but also has been realized in the process of practicing 'righteousness', and in terms of objective effect, it can be said that 'righteousness and benefit are reaped'. ”
Zhan Zhizhan said thoughtfully: "Hmm...... In other words, in special circumstances, morality should be achieved at the expense of interests. The most extreme case is what Confucius called 'killing oneself to become benevolent', and Mencius said 'sacrificing one's life for righteousness'. ”
Zhuo Bufan nodded and said with a smile: "Yes! Confucius said, 'A man with lofty ideals and benevolence does not seek to survive to harm benevolence, but kills to become benevolent.' Mencius said, 'Life is also what I want, and righteousness is also what I want; You can't have both, and those who sacrifice their lives to take righteousness are also. That is to say, when encountering a special situation in which there is a sharp conflict between 'righteousness' and 'profit' and it is irreconcilable, a person with lofty ideals will never do anything that undermines benevolence and righteousness in order to make a living, but would rather sacrifice himself to become benevolent and practice righteousness. ”
Zhuo Bufan's words benefited Zhan Zhizhan a lot, and he moved his words and deeds closer to the gentleman who "puts righteousness first", practiced righteousness, and acted shamefully, which is a big issue related to whether he can be different from beasts. Perhaps, Zhan Zhizhan is not business material at all.
"Hey......" Zhan Zhizhan was in the classroom when he was troubled by the boring "Theoretical Mechanics" when he was suddenly gently patted on the shoulder.
Zhan Zhizhan looked up, and it turned out to be his bedmate's "condom", so he said with a little surprise: "Huh...... Why didn't you look at your kiosk? Why are you scared to death? ”
