560, Kongtong faction

Kongtong Mountain, the gathering place of the Taoist Kongtong faction. It is 30 kilometers west of Pingliang City, Gansu Province, on the east side of Liupan Mountain, surrounded by the Jing River, with an altitude of 2,100 meters. Legend has it that in ancient times, the Yellow Emperor once came here to ask Yu Guangchengzi. According to historical records, the Yellow Emperor waded through the Jing River and climbed the pole to look at Kongtong. In the Qin and Han dynasties, there are temple buildings on Kongtong Mountain, later the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming dynasties have built, cast bronze bells, bronze Buddha more than 30 pieces, erect more than 40 inscriptions, ask the Taoist palace under the mountain to be the permanent residence of Taoism in ten directions. The Taoist temple on the mountain is extremely prosperous, and there are Yueshi Gorge, Yuxian Peak, Dingxin Peak, Qianzhang Cliff, incense insertion platform, chessboard ridge, hydrangea peak, lotus platform, Guiyun Cave, Huanglong Spring, Danti Cliff and other places of interest and historic sites. The original ancient buildings are eight platforms, nine palaces, eighteen courtyards, and forty-two temples. Lin palace temple all over the peaks, the highest peak has Xiangshan Temple. The forests are lush, the mountains are beautiful, and the scenery is beautiful. The temple was destroyed in the early years of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, and there are still the Panlong Pillar of the Tang Hutuo Temple, the Sutra Building of the Falun Temple of the Song Dynasty, the inscription of the Wendao Palace rebuilt by the Yuan Dynasty, the pagoda of the Ming Dynasty, and the Taihe Palace repaired by the Kangxi Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty. For the love of Zhangren Mountain, Dan ladder is close to the ghost. Therefore, for thousands of years, "Qingcheng Tianxia Secluded" has become a supreme (yet) praise for it. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhang Daoling, the founder of Taoism, came to this Qingcheng Mountain to set up an altar to preach, leaving many legends and monuments, and was respected as a heavenly master by later generations. After the Jin and Tang dynasties, there were many palaces on the mountain, and there were more than 100 at the peak. Qingcheng is 1600 meters above sea level, the foothills to the peak travel distance is about five kilometers, the stone path is swirling, the forest covers the sky, it is deep and quiet, there are the pen throwing groove of the heavenly master "subduing the demon", the sword test stone, the heavenly master hand planted ginkgo tree, the heavenly master pool, the Tang Xuanzong hand edict tablet, the stone statue of the three emperors of the Tang carving, the Tang Casting Flying Dragon Tieding, the Du Guangting reading platform, the Tang Xue Chang Danjing, the statue of the Heavenly Master of the Five Dynasties, the wooden carving door screen of the Ming Dynasty and other cultural relics, and the main palace view such as Jianfu Palace (ancient name Zhangren Temple), Tianshi Cave (ancient name Changdao Temple), Shangqing Palace and so on. It can be seen that whether it is Qingcheng, Emei, or Kongtong Mountain, they are all favored by Taoists as their habitat; But then there are also Buddhism, the so-called "the world's famous mountains and Buddhas", these Taoists occupy the famous mountains, of course, also valued by Buddhism. For this reason, it is inevitable that there will be "disputes between the Buddha and the Tao" in this world.

However, on the occasion of the remnants of the Tang Dynasty in the five dynasties, under the situation of Buddha and Tao vying for the famous mountain, how can the king of Dai and the rivers and lakes and green forests be willing to lag behind? Moreover, this so-called Buddha and Taoist famous mountain has actually been occupied by the Jianghu sect during this period, and most of the Buddhists and Taoists have been absorbed and assimilated by it, and they are among the members of the sect. Therefore, Kongtong Mountain, where the Taoist palace is the majority, is actually under the general jurisdiction of the Kongtong faction, one of the eight major schools of the rivers and lakes, with a total of eight masters, nine palace masters, eighteen courtyard masters and forty-two temple masters.
