8. Identification

Castletown's Wizards' Guild is located in Uptown, right next to Castletown's Elven Academy, which is almost the most learning place in town.

Young elves running through the streets with books in their arms can be seen everywhere, and the main teaching building of the Elven Academy and the Mage Tower of the Magic Guild are one of the most striking landmarks on the west side of Uptown.

Young elves usually go to the elven academy to study.

Whether it is a silver moon elf or a half-blood elf, as long as you are willing to study, you can come to school here and pay a full amount of tuition.

Ms. Belinda was going to let Roy go to school.

Many elves find a job to earn a semester's tuition after they become adults, and then go to the elf academy.

Some elves study while working part-time, as long as they don't report so many subjects each semester, they can still maintain their part-time work and study.

Of course, there are also those with better family conditions, such as those elven nobles who don't need to think about tuition, they just need to concentrate on studying in the academy, and this kind of students tend to study more comprehensive subjects.

Roy would have needed to find a job to earn enough money to go to school, just like any other ordinary elf.

However, her mother, Belinda, thought that Roy only had half the life span of elves, and if he had to work like other elves during his studies, the time to enjoy life would be greatly reduced, so she planned to help Roy pay for this tuition.

Castletown is an open city with no walls around it.

More than 90 percent of the city is built on the mountains by the sea, and the streets of the city are also layered from the bottom up.

All the buildings are built on the hillside, and the more you look up, the more luxurious they become......

On the top of the hill in Castleton City, there is a huge statue of the Silver Moon Elf nearly thirty meters high erected on the top of the mountain, and the direction of the right hand of this Silver Moon Elf statue is the location of Buenos City.

Roy, standing in the large square in front of the Magic Guild, looked up at the giant statue on the top of the hill, feeling that if it collapsed, it would probably fall here.

Putting this unrealistic idea aside, Roy clenched the bag full of Kohler's money in his hand and mustered up the courage to enter the magic tower.

The guard at the door didn't stop Roy because he looked like a human, but only glanced at Roy with a scrutinizing eye, to which Roy responded by speaking a fluent Elfish language:

"I'm here for a primary appraisal."

With such a simple sentence, Roy walked unimpeded into the first floor of the Mage Tower, where the primary appraisal was actually conducted.

The interior of the first floor of the magic tower is divided into many different areas, and you can follow the corridor according to some guide signs, and the first impression given to Roy here is that it looks like some stores on the first floor.

The corridor is flanked by a number of various shops.

And these shops will be more or less related to magic, apothecaries, scroll shops, magic gem shops, magic weapons shops, etc.

There were not only some elven nobles who came and went in these magic shops, but also students of the elven academy, and some mages in gorgeous robes.

Roy found the signboard for the identification area, and as the flow of people walked to the area, it seemed a little deserted.

Many of the shops are related to identification, but many of them are for identifying magical artifacts, and Roy walked around here before he locked on a primary laboratory that looked a little inconspicuous, but was constantly frequented.

Roy quietly lined up in the back.

Each customer enters the store alone, and the rest of the people have to wait outside.

There were four people in front of Roy, and they came out of it one after another, their faces mixed with mixed feelings.

Roy was also a little apprehensive in his heart.

When it was his turn, Roy stood at the door and knocked on it, and there was a voice from inside: 'Please come in!' ’

Roy pushed them away and walked in, the room was not large, it was almost full of bookshelves, and there were some copper books on them.

There was a smell of rotting parchment in the room, and there was a ladder leading upstairs next to the back row of bookshelves, but Roy didn't need to go upstairs, as soon as he entered, there was a wooden table with a few magic crystals on it.

An elven mage sat behind a table, and the elven mage's gaze was gentle, but it exuded a hint of majesty, which made people dare not offend.

He wore a dark green robe, and Roy found that all the ornate ornaments on this robe were silver, and they were all dark lines, which could only be revealed at certain angles, under the refraction of light, which belonged to a kind of low-key luxury.

Roy couldn't tell how old the elven mage was, and the years hadn't left any mark on the elven mage's face.

"Young man, is there anything I need to help you with?"

The elven mage said in a flat tone.

"I'd like to ask you to help me identify if I've comprehended magic......

Roy sat down in a somewhat cold chair and stretched out his right hand, which had rolled up his sleeves, and placed his palm up on the table, with a little more firefly-like light in his open palm.

Seeing Roy's somewhat apprehensive face, the elven mage couldn't help but say comfortingly:

"Not only do the Silver Moon Elves have the talent to be archers, but each Elf is close to the elements of magic, and can learn magic with a little guidance."

"It can be seen that you are a half-elf, so if you want to learn magic, you can study at the elven academy, and when you officially become a magic apprentice, you can register with the magic union."

"Can I really?"

Roy just wondered if he could become a magician.

He was obsessed with this one entirely because of the boy he remembered with the lightning mark on his forehead.

If you can become a mage, that's pretty good.

Roy imagined himself holding a magician in his hand with a fir staff in his hand, and as long as he pointed at it casually with the staff, a fireball would float out, which would be cool to think about.

"Forehead ......"

The elven mage hesitated, but he didn't answer in the affirmative.

Then he picked up a magic crystal from the table, and slowly brought the tip of the magic crystal close to the faint light in Roy's palm.

To the surprise of the elven mage, the magic crystals were about to touch the faint light, and they didn't react at all.

This magic crystal wand usually lights up as long as it comes into contact with the slightest magic fluctuation, but in front of the light in Roy's palm, it doesn't react at all.

The elven mage then picked up a magic crystal that measured the strength of the magic, and approached the glimmer of light, but there was still no response.

He hesitated for a moment before patting his forehead.

"It's not magic!"

The elven mage concluded.

Roy was originally full of anticipation, but when he heard the elven mage say this, the anticipation on his face suddenly collapsed.

“…… However, you can go to the Temple of the Moon...... Or take a look at the Statue of Liberty. ”

The elven mage paused in the middle when he said this, his suggestion was to let Roy go to the Moon Temple to have a look, but the Moon Temple in Castletown City was only open to the Silver Moon Elves, and half-elves and half-blood elves like Roy were not allowed to enter at will and desecrate the Moon Altar there.

So the elven mage changed his tune and suggested that Roy go to the Statue of Liberty to have a look.

"This flame of light in your palm is neither a fire element, nor a light element, I guess it may be a divine technique...... Although I can't identify it here, you can go to the temple and ask them, and I'm sure they will be more than welcoming to a young man who can get his hands on divine magic without the need for enlightenment. ”

The elven mage said to Roy.

Roy was a little overwhelmed, he didn't expect this to be the result at all.

Even the final appraisal fee, the elven mage did not accept it, on the grounds that he could not provide valuable help to Roy, so Roy did not need to pay the appraisal fee.

Seeing that the money bag in his hand was still bulging, Roy didn't know whether to be happy or disappointed when he walked out of the primary laboratory......

Seeing Roy coming out of it, the young elf at the back of the line took the opportunity to walk in.

……

In the Kingdom of Silvermoon, the Temple of the Moon is the largest temple with the most believers.

Almost all of the Silver Moon Elves worship Elune, the goddess of the moon.

However, it is precisely because the Moon Temple is extremely large and the goddess worshipped is the Moon Goddess, who symbolizes holiness, that this temple only accepts Silver Moon Elf believers.

According to the elven mage, the light flame in Roy's palm belongs to the category of divine arts, so he has to go to the temple to find the answer.

It was impossible for Roy to enter the Temple of the Moon, so he could only go to the Temple of Liberty......

Speaking of which, the Temple of Liberty was able to spread its teachings in the Elven Realm precisely because of the Moon Temple's xenophobic practices.

The Moontemple priests pushed the half-blood elves out of the door, and the Liberty Temple took over the group, so that the Liberty priests were able to build a small temple in the lower part of Castleton.

And the temple isn't too far from Roy's home......

If I had known this, I might as well have gone to the temple first!' Roy complained in his heart.

When he walked out of the magic tower, he saw the bright sunlight above his head, and his original depression was swept away.

Roy even bought a piece of iced watermelon at an ice drink shop across the street from the Magic Guild and ate it as he walked down the long street......

When I got back to Brown Street, I almost had to go down the stairs and ramps, which was much easier than when I came.

Roy settled his lunch halfway through and made his way straight to the gates of the Statue of Liberty.

I remembered that I saw the scene of the thief who climbed over the wall yesterday morning, and I had an indescribable feeling in my heart.

The door to the temple was closed, but the side doors were open, and there were no clergy guarding the doorways.

Roy leaned on the iron railing of the side door and walked in, this was the first time he had stepped into the front courtyard of the temple......
