268. The Band's Kindness
Every year during Obon, people dance around a huge bonfire, both to thank the ancestors for their favors and to guide the souls of the deceased home, which is also recorded in the Kojiki.
When Makoto Kyushu and the others arrived, the Bon Odori had already begun.
In the center of the huge plaza is a blazing brazier, around which singers and bands play traditional music, and dozens of men and women in yukata and kimono perform traditional dances around the brazier. There are also tourists vying to join in and dance along, and the scene is very spectacular.
The range of movements of this traditional dance is very small, and it is not even as intense as the radio gymnastics done by elementary school students, and the main theme is a sense of traditional ritual. But in this festive atmosphere, seeing a group of people dancing spontaneously makes you want to join in.
Kyushu Cheng and the others also jumped with the crowd for a while, just to join in the fun. Kyushu Cheng didn't understand this kind of dance at all, and he almost danced to the rhythm, almost dancing into a street dance.
Mizuhashi and Yagawa danced decently, wearing yukata robes, and quickly blended in with the group of dancers.
After more than 20 minutes of excitement in the dance square, everyone moved on to other places.
Put river lanterns, visit temples, and write prayer signs. After experiencing a series of traditional activities, everyone followed the crowd to "Freedom Square".
As the name suggests, it is a wide square surrounded by dining tables, chairs and food stalls for visitors to take a break and move freely.
In the center of the square is a complete set of musical instruments – electric guitar, drum kit, bass, electronic organ, violin, microphone, and supporting sound equipment.
These instruments are unused, just left in solitary places, or anyone can use them.
The festival organizers have placed these instruments in the middle of Liberty Square in the hope that if any of the tourists who are good at musical instruments can go up and play a song to liven up the atmosphere.
By analogy, this is similar to "placing a piano in a subway station for passers-by to play", anyway, just to make everyone happy.
Makoto Kyushu and others found a big table and sat down, and Yuhito Suzuki took out the event poster and looked through it:
"I'll see, what else is going on. Oh, and there's a fireworks display at nine o'clock in the evening, which is about an hour away! ”
Summer festivals and fireworks displays are two inseparable things, just like the sashimi on the top of sushi and the rice balls on the bottom.
A summer festival without fireworks is like sushi without sashimi, which is just a lump of rice balls, and the whole festival loses its flavor.
"The poster says that the fireworks will go off in the middle of a nearby lake, so we'd better go and see this bridge to the south." Yuhito Suzuki clicked on the map on his phone and pointed to the location of a bridge.
"It's about fifteen minutes from us, so let's rest for a while." Makoto Kyushu calculated the distance and proposed.
Visitors to Liberty Square should have the same intention of resting in this place.
"Then let's go half an hour early." Senior Sister Yachuan knocked lightly on the table and said, "If you set off fifteen minutes earlier than the big army, you should be able to grab a better position a little~"
"Well, that's it." Everyone nodded.
"Ah, I found you!" Just then, a well-dressed woman trotted towards them.
The crowd followed the prestige and found that the visitor was the female player they had met at the dart stall before.
She was accompanied by three young women of similar age, all dressed as well as celebrities, as if they were afraid of being recognized.
"Oh, did you find a companion?" Makoto Kyushu smiled and waved his hand.
"I've heard everything just now, thank you for helping her." One of the young women with yellow hair bowed slightly: "This kid loves Jonny Silverfinger very much, and whenever he encounters something related to him, he will be fascinated and unable to walk." If it weren't for the help of her, she wouldn't know how much money she would have to spend~"
"It's okay, it's not a mistake to chase stars, it's important to know how to be proportionate~" Kyushu Cheng waved his hand: "We're going to see fireworks later, are you going to go too?" ”
"Of course I will." The female player whispered, somewhat unconvinced, "But before that, would you be interested in listening to us play a song?" ”
"Well, what?" Makoto Kyushu didn't react for a while.
The next moment, the four women took off their hats, sunglasses, and masks one after another, revealing their true faces.
"You guys. . . You are." Yuhito Suzuki was the first to recognize them, screamed excitedly, and fell from his chair on the spot: "Takeshi. The Martial Arts Band Ahh The Martial Arts Band is here? Why!! ”
"Hey, don't be so out of shape" Tang Zegui will help the little yellow hair up: "Speaking of which, I always feel that you are a little familiar, sure enough, it is the band we saw in Binhai Park before!" ”
"Oh, did you go to that concert at Esplanade Park?" One of the women blinked and said mischievously, "Are you fans?" ”
"This yellow-haired classmate is a big fan of yours." Makoto Kyushu glanced at Suzuki and kindly said, "After watching the concert last time, I was sad for a while because I didn't have money to buy a photo ticket." ”
"Eh, it's a pity~" The four girls of the martial arts band smiled in unison: "In this case, we can't even say that we don't give a little fan welfare~"
"Anyway, if you don't dislike it, just listen to us play a song. This is an album track that we haven't released yet, so it's a proof of friendship to make new friends~"
The private performance of a well-known band in Tokyo is the most suitable way for them to repay their kindness.
The four band girls came to the center of the square, adjusted their instruments, and surrounded by many good tourists.
Makoto Kyushu's heart was very excited, and he didn't expect to be able to listen to the band play songs during the break.
But compared to him, the most excited should be Yuhito Suzuki. His face was already flushed with sudden happiness, and he almost fainted.
It's like a female star who has been only able to watch from a distance suddenly becomes close at hand, and this sudden sense of happiness is hard to bear.
The four girls plucked their instruments, and the music began.
They played a heavier but energetic rock song, from which you could feel the spirit of resistance contained in rock.
"Inside of agony~"
"Those butterflies crying out~"
"Cry き朽ち果てる ~ (The cry makes the heaven and the earth rot)"
"So boy, help them fly away~"
"The world's tears~"
"Falls on him~"
"Until the dawn, nobody comes~"
"Unbreakable silence slowly hovers in the air~"
"Let butterlies spread until the dawn~"
After a song, although there are some mistakes, the four girls can quickly get to the bottom every time, and even use these mistakes to make the music more layered. Therefore, there is nothing unpleasant in the whole article, and even the onlookers swayed along with it.
At the end of the song, the tourists burst into warm applause, and some people recognized the identities of the four girls.
"Isn't this the band that passed away?"
"Wow! I actually met a real person here! ”
"Are they special guests at the celebration?"
"Thank you for your support, this is one of the songs from our band's next album, I hope you like it~" One of the band girls explained briefly.
Subsequently, the four girls stepped down and invited Makoto Kyushu and others to take photos with them, and finally gave Suzuki Yuhito a band autograph.
"Wow, ahhh This is really the autograph of the band, and there is a group photo." Yuhito Suzuki looked at the photos on his phone and the name of the marker pen signed on his clothes, and still thought he was dreaming in a trance.
"Then the time for the fireworks show is almost up, let's say goodbye, I hope the next performance can also be loved by you~" The four girls smiled playfully and said goodbye to everyone.
"Almost, let's go over too." Makoto Kyushu looked at the time and said.
