481. Abduction on the street
When Lan En rushed out of the crowd, he realized that it was not 'the girl who caused trouble', but 'trouble found the girl'.
Two guys, dressed like the men who went to Kassandra's house to find fault, were forcibly holding Fauber in his arms.
It was the little girl's struggling legs that kicked off the wooden stick of a stall selling amphorae.
Then the linen cloth of the roof fell, carrying two broken pottery amphorae.
A very conspicuous creature like Lann stepped out of the crowd and rightfully attracted the attention of the two captors.
One of them, whose face looked like a pear, was flattened, and he freed one of the two hands that had imprisoned Forber, and pulled out a bronze dagger from his waist and laid it across the little girl's neck.
The other walked towards Lanen, the short sword in his hand clapping rhythmically against the palm of his other hand like a threat.
"It's none of your business, stranger."
The man clapping his hands with his sword face stood cautiously two meters away from Lanen, looking up and down at the strange witcher.
"You're strong, we don't want to fight you. But this little girl is what our master wants, and she doesn't want to mess with our master on Kephallonia. ”
"One-eyed?" Lan En asked calmly, "I didn't think people like you would have much respect for myths and legends. ”
"My master is not a cyclops, he is a man! Powerful people! ”
As if out of fear of Lanen, he explained. In normal times, he would have been impatient to stab the blade of the bronze sword into someone else's chest.
But this time, he was too close to Lanne.
The witcher doesn't really care too much if his master is a man or a cyclops.
After the man who slapped his palm with the sword entered some invisible range, Lan En's eyes suddenly narrowed.
With a 'poof' sound, the soles of the dragon leather rubbed against the earth.
The heavy armor didn't make Lan's figure sluggish in the slightest.
His activation speed made him look like a large, ethereal black shadow!
With a "click", the leather gloves attached to the armor had already pinched the opponent's neck, and while pinching, they broke the bones inside with one hand.
The nerve center broke, and the bronze dagger in the man's hand fell from his hand.
Then Lan En kicked without looking, and the short sword that fell in mid-air pierced the air with a sharp cracking sound, and 'poof' through the middle of the other person's throat!
The man wanted to wipe Fauber's neck in Lan En's arms the moment he made a move.
This is a smart man, because he knows very well that he is not an opponent.
But he still didn't know how big the gap between himself and Lan En was.
After the bronze dagger pierced his neck, he was dragged upside down like a noose around his neck that was being pulled by a fierce horse.
The blood that spurted out of the gap in his neck left a large black and red patch on the dusty pavement.
The whole process is only a moment when the rabbit rises and falls.
People who didn't run far, or quietly probed onlookers, let out a belated burst of whispers afterwards, mixed with suppressed laughter.
It seems that the one-eyed man and his subordinates are not very good.
Lan En let go of the hand holding the other's neck, causing the corpse to shake up a handful of smoke on the road.
He stepped forward and pulled Fauber up from the body of his captor.
"Are you alright, Fauber?"
Lan wiped the little girl's blood from the splatters on her face.
And Fauber's expression was calm, as if he had eaten a homely meal.
"It's okay this time, they stuffed a rag in my mouth last time so that I can't bite anyone."
This nonchalant attitude made Lan En frown.
"Listen to Fauber, I don't know what your situation is, but a little kid should always be careful when he comes out. You've almost been kidnapped by a bunch of robbers! What about your family? ”
"They were taken away by Poseidon." The little girl said lightly, and even made Lan En relax in turn.
"It's going to be fine! I have Kassandra, and even you! You're my patronus, aren't you? After all, I was the first person to see you after you 'came down', and that's what the legend says. ”
When Fauber said 'come down', he smiled tacitly at Lan En.
"I'm not a god or a demigod, I repeat."
"Alright, alright! I know! It's a secret for both of us, right? ”
Fauber smiled like a little adult, 'everyone who understands understands'.
This expression made Lan En tilt his head and press his temple.
"Okay, let's leave first, don't you have security management in this place? Robbing people on the street? ”
"Law and order. What? ”
Fauber followed Lan out of the market, blankly trying to understand the words Lan had given.
"Oh, I see what you mean! It's Kephallonia here, and it's not decently poor. Aside from the fact that the rich can bring a few guards with them when they pass by, do you expect a patrol here? Ha ha. ”
"If you kill someone, or steal something, steal something, or something like that, the One-Eyed will give a bounty for the mercenaries to hunt and put a bounty on it. That's all, nothing else. ”
"It doesn't sound like a robber to the One-Eyed Man, but a bit like the king of your island."
Lan En complained calmly.
Fauber couldn't agree more.
"Marcos used to say that the one-eyed man is like any tyrant in the world."
The two of them had already walked out of the slightly densely populated market, and within a few steps of the distance, the environment here had become wild.
"You can go and get busy, Lanne, I can go back myself."
Fauber's sandals said lightly while grinding the wildflowers on the side of the road.
Lan En looked down at the little girl who had just been kidnapped.
"I'm not familiar with life, so I don't have anything to do."
"How so!" Fauber's eyes widened and he looked up into Lan En's eyes in disbelief, "Demigods and heroes are busy!" They all have a lot of tasks and troubles. ”
"That is, trouble hasn't found me yet, and the gods haven't remembered to send me a mission." Lann didn't bother to correct Fauber anymore. "Anyway, are you sure you want to go back on your own?"
"I've been living in Kefalonia for years, nothing at all!"
"yes, and I was almost taken down the street today."
Lan En's expressionless complaint made the little girl smile awkwardly.
A hurried sound of horses' hooves from a distance saved the embarrassed Fauber.
Kassandra rode a muscular white horse and was galloping from a distance.
When they reached the two of them, the horse was able to stop smoothly.
In an era when even the saddle was just a saddle, the rider's skill was revealed.
Kassandra is a perfect match for her horse, her skin and body in the sun are full of vitality and health.
She rolled over and dismounted, and walked towards Fauber.
