As you may be aware, the theme and style of this book are different from other books on the market. For example, why it is so difficult to build a foundation, and why the qi practitioners here are entering the world instead of being born.

The framework of the book is based on "Gnosticism", which is a relatively less mentioned area in the field of modern popular culture. The most famous titles in the past were the video game The Elder Scrolls and the tabletop game The Dark World. Not strictly speaking, Gnostic is the opposite of Cthulhu. The theme of Cthulhu is icy, while the theme of the Gnostics is red-hot.

However, although it is rarely mentioned, the story of "Gnosticism" actually has many similarities with the traditional Chinese cultivation of immortals, Xuanxuan, and Zhen. Bringing the two together, the idea for this book was born. However, as a reservation to the original Gnosticism, the concept of the "Roman Empire" was added. As a counterpart to Xiuzhen's "Taiyi Jinhua", Rome used the "Golden Branch" (an anthropological work by James Fraser in 1890) as its central idea.

Jinhua (flower) and golden branch can also be used as the subtitle of the book.
