Chapter 615: Giant Aerial Ground-Penetrating Bomb

This time the H-11 "Dapeng" long-range strategic bomber, a jet bomber commissioned in 1939, is also the main strategic bomber of the latest generation.

It is not at all the same level as the H-9 "Red-headed Vulture" heavy and 5 H-8 "Whalehead Stork" that have been frequented frequently in the past few days, the latter is a type of aircraft that entered service in 1928, while the former is a transitional model between the H-7 "Vulture" and the H-11 "Dapeng", which entered service in 1934.

China has so far launched 14 types of bombers in official service, namely the H-1 to H-14, as well as five export bombers, the BC-1 and BC-5.

Among them: the H-1 "Tern" light bomber (prototype Ho# Ke "Buck"), the H-2 "Egret" heavy bomber (prototype B-6), and the H-3 "Warship Bird" torpedo bomber (prototype Swordfish) are all biplanes in service before and in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and are the initial air strike force. The fuselage of these aircraft usually has a lot of canvas and wood, and the wheels cannot be retracted, making them look very rudimentary.

The H-4 "Black-necked Swan" heavy bomber (prototype B-17), H-5 "Heron" medium bomber (prototype Mosquito), and H-6 "Demoiselle Crane" torpedo bomber (prototype Tianshan) are second-generation bombers in service before and during World War I.

The H-7 "Vulture" heavy bomber (prototype B-29) and H-8 "Whalehead Stork" medium bomber (prototype B-26) are third-generation bombers in service at the end of the 20s, characterized by the use of a flight management system and a glass cockpit, as well as simulated fly-by-wire operation, and equipped with radar, and the engine has been replaced with a turboprop, which has improved the performance of N more than the piston type. It should be emphasized here that the H-8 "Whalehead Stork" has been magically modified on the basis of the later model of the prototype, and the aerodynamics and handling performance have been specially improved, making the "Baltimore Prostitute" easy to operate and no longer a "rookie killer".

At present, the first and second generation bombers have all been retired from active service, but they are still equipped in other countries, especially some small countries. Third-generation bombers are also gradually being retired from active service, many of which were refurbished and sold to a few younger countries.

The prototype of the H-9 "Red-headed Vulture" long-range strategic bomber is the Tu-95. Strictly speaking, this swept wing high-speed turboprop bomber is only a transitional model, which was originally built only for testing, but after trying, the Air Force feels that it is not bad, much better than the H-7 "Vulture". So it turned from a "little three" to a regular one, and before the H-11 "Dapeng" and the Swan sisters entered service, they became the pillars of China's strategic bombers in the mid-to-late thirties.

Starting with the H-10, Chinese bombers officially entered the jet age. The H-10 "Mountain Eagle" that entered service in early 1940 was not a purebred bomber, it was a fighter-bomber, and the prototype was the Su-3 "Platypus"4 in the original time and space. This kind of aircraft has a super ability to protect itself, and in a hurry, it can completely drop its ground weapons and pretend to be fighters, and it can be said that on the current earth, fighter planes other than China have not been able to beat it.

The H-11 "Dapeng" long-range strategic bomber is the fourth-generation long-range strategic bomber that truly inherits the H-7, and the H-9 can only be regarded as three and a half generations, and its appearance is similar to the original space-time B-52H "Stratofortress". After the weight reduction of new space materials such as foam alloy, its performance is more powerful, which is the ultimate belief of the big bomb doctrine, the necessary weapon for washing the ground, and the main task is to wash the ground or drop a large number of cruise missiles after gaining air supremacy.

The successor to the H-8 is the H-12 "Snow Goose" medium-range bomber, the prototype of which is the H-6K. In the plan of the Chinese Air Force, these two are the main forces of bombing in the future.

Of course, these are not the most advanced. China's most advanced bombers are the Swan sisters, namely the H-13 "Gray Swan" supersonic medium-range bomber and the H-14 "White Swan" supersonic long-range strategic bomber, the former is based on the Tu-22M3 Backfire, and the latter is based on the Tu-160 Corsair Flag. These two supersonic large bombers are fifth-generation bombers, and of course their performance is very strong, but they are too expensive, and they can only be used to penetrate the defense and attack key targets, and cannot be used as the main force for washing the ground. Because these two aircraft are supersonic aircraft with variable sweep wings, and their appearance is also a bit similar, they are also nicknamed "big swans" and "little swans" by officers and military fans.

In addition to these models for China's own use, there are currently five models for export. The earliest was the BC-1 "Big Stork" medium bomber launched at the end of the twenties, which was basically a copy of the B-25, although it was not as good as the H-8 for its own use, but it was indeed outstanding in the world's mainstream aircraft at that time, and sold more than 3,500 of them to more than 20 countries, not counting authorized production. It can be regarded as the most heavily equipped bomber on the planet in the entire thirties, and the subsequent model designs of many countries have been influenced by it, which is also the reason why the medium bombers of the warring sides in Europe are more similar in appearance, and they are brothers at first glance.

Then there are the BC-2 and BC-3 jet medium-range bombers, the former based on the Il-28 and the latter on the B-57, which were launched specifically for the warring sides of World War II. Then there is the BC-4 "Gray Goose" long-range bomber, which is currently only sold to the younger brother, that is, the castrated version of the H-12, which can be considered as the Tu-16. and the BC-5 "Flying Leopard" fighter-bomber, yes, it is the JH-7 Flying Leopard born from the original time and space, of course, the performance must have been reduced and not as good as the original, for example, the engine was replaced with a turbojet.

China's current fighter jets are updated very quickly, at least several military districts on the front line have all been jetized, and those turboprop fighters are not seen at all, but bombers are different, after all, this is much more expensive than fighters, and the production cycle is relatively long, how can it be replaced all at once. And the pressure on them to change their equipment is not as great as that of fighters, so now China's bomber team is considered to be "three generations in the same house", from H-7 to H-14.

This is also the reason why only the H-8 and H-9 came here in Singapore in the past few days, because Malaya has limited strength, and there are only these two old bombers at several nearby airports. The new H-11 "Dapeng" and H-12 "Snow Goose" either can't move in other directions, or they are busy dealing with the more important Australia and New Zealand, and it is obviously not cost-effective to use hole cards like the Swan Sisters for a fortress that will not move, and it is not impossible.

It was not until the day before yesterday, after the latest batch of H-11s entered service, that they were sent over for bombing missions.

At present, the H-11 in the sky over Singapore is the latest 324th bomber regiment in service, with a total of 54 aircraft. Unlike the establishment of fighter planes, the number of large bomber units is even smaller, with eight squadrons in one squadron, a total of 17 squadrons under two squadrons and one group commander command plane, and three battalions under the command of a bomber regiment, plus three command planes at the regimental headquarters, for a total of 54 planes. And a fighter regiment is generally 138 units.

Colonel Li Jianye, the commander of this group of planes, personally led the team, and at this time, Regiment Commander Li was personally teaching the team's target information on the command computer and assigning targets to each unit.

Now they are at an altitude of 15000 meters and do not have to worry about anti-aircraft fire on the ground at all. As for the fighter planes, the Singapore Fortress has some of them, but they were almost beaten by escort fighters in the air battle a few days ago, and the remaining ones were unable to take off because the airfield was destroyed. Besides, there are a bunch of escort fighters next to it.

The H-11 "Dapeng" on this plane is much more awesome than the B-52H model, thanks to a variety of new materials such as foam metal, aluminum-iron alloy, magnesium-sodium alloy, etc., while the strength of the fuselage has been greatly improved, the weight of the fuselage has been greatly reduced. This is coupled with a variety of advanced electronics and powertrains, in particular, the redesigned fuselage and magazine, as well as the crew seats. Eventually, the performance of this earth-scrubbing artifact increased explosively, with its empty weight dropping to 59 tons and its maximum bomb load increasing to 52 tons. Although the maximum speed has only increased by 50 kilometers (1,050 kilometers), the practical ceiling has been increased to 19,000 meters, the maximum range is 19,000 kilometers, and the combat radius is 9,000 kilometers. On top of that, the redesigned magazine is larger than the B-36's, which can hold any kind of ammunition in service, and the loading capacity of the pylons has also been greatly increased, with 18 tons of heavy bombs inside the magazine, and two 12-ton hardpoints under the wings.

This time, they flew directly from the west to Saigon Airport in Annam Province, and from there loaded gifts and traveled all the way here. This time, the 324th Bomber Regiment specially brought a "heavy gift" from Saigon to visit Singapore. No kidding, it's a real "heavy gift", one weighs 10,500 kilograms. Are you afraid of a gift weighing ten tons?

Li Jianye looked at the image on the screen and sighed: "This turtle shell of the British is really strong enough, and it doesn't even work for 'big # three yuan'......"

The captain next to him said: "Yes, Lao Ou and Lao Meng have lost two hundred rounds of 'big # three yuan' in the past few days, and they haven't even destroyed a class I heavy artillery." It seems that it depends on our 'bar flowers' this time. Its explosive power is 10 times that of the previous "Big #Three" bomb!"

The "flower on the bar" refers to the HD-29 giant aerial ground-penetrating bomb they carried this time. Its high-strength alloy casing contains two tons of high explosives and uses inertial, television and satellite multiple guidance, giving it the ability to destroy fortresses up to 50 meters underground. It is up to 5 meters in length, weighs about 10.5 tons, and is equipped with high-performance explosives weighing up to 2 tons. Its warhead shell is made of nickel-cobalt steel alloy, and it can drill into land up to 50 meters thick or penetrate 16-story buildings with an attack accuracy of less than 2 meters, which can be used to destroy large underground targets. Although the charge is only 20% of the total weight, due to the use of high-performance explosives, its power is several times to dozens of times higher than that of previous ground-penetrating bombs, comparable to small nuclear weapons.

"Report to the Commander, all the crews are ready!" the navigator reported

"Okay, all crews pay attention, drop bombs!" Li Jianye gave the order to attack. He himself first pressed the bomb button.
