Chapter 024 (Magical Candle)
On their way back to the camp, Brandt and the others met Ser Colin, the Rand Knight, and dozens of well-armored soldiers who had come to look for him. Sir Colin noticed that Lord Tyrell's face was unusual, and instead of asking, he followed all the way back to the camp.
When Jason and Paul saw Brant return to camp unscathed, their hanging hearts were relieved, they looked at each other, and then they went about their jobs. Back at the camp, Glia walked alone into the low tent that the soldiers had set up for her. The soldiers returned to their posts, and Roy was stopped by Sir Colin, who was about to ask him what was going on in the woods.
Brant returned to his tent, where he walked back and forth in the cramped tent. He was going back to Boulder City to tell his grandfather and uncle the terrible news. He told himself that even if he set off overnight on a lightning bolt to get back to Boulder City, it would be at least a few days away. How could he appear in the Golden Tooth City in the shortest possible time?
Except for magic, there is hardly any possibility. However, space magic has been lost in this world for hundreds of years, and has become a legendary existence.
He pondered worriedly, fantasizing about any possible miracle. He suddenly thought of the magic book that the teacher had given him, and he stretched out the hardcover book from his chest through his clothes. Perhaps he could find a way out of this book, although the odds were slim, but he had pinned all his hopes on this magic book.
Brant turned the pages, first the first page with a drawing of a sword "Flaming Sword", and the second page was blank, originally drawing a bow and an arrow, "Dragonbone Bow" and "Purple Gold Arrow", which he gave to Roy. And then on the third page there is a candle, a pink candle. He continued to turn to the fourth page, and halfway through the turn, he suddenly stopped.
A sentence popped into his head. He turned back to the third page, and he took the pink candle out of the page. Brandt carefully read the inscription on it: "Hold the candle in one hand, then light the candle, thinking about where you want to go. He repeated in a low voice, "Think about where you want to go." γ
Could this candle take me where I want to go? But what Brant couldn't figure out was what a candle could do but light up the night, how could the candle take him where he wanted to go?
Brant hesitated for a moment, but he decided to give it a try anyway. He gripped the candle tightly, and then cast a small spell to light it, thinking about where his uncle and Gavin were.
Suddenly, the pink candle emitted a dazzling white light, illuminating Brant's whole body, and the intense light enveloped the entire tent. In an instant, a white light flashed, and the magical candle flew straight into the sky with Brant, and they flew towards the star-covered sky with thunder and lightning. The magic candle turned around at a height of several thousand feet and flew towards the west, and the light-shrouded Brant flew away like a bright meteor in the gap.
Roy stared up at the sky in amazement, at Brant, who flew into the sky and disappeared. Sir Colin and the Knight of Teresa stood beside him, their eyes full of shock. If they hadn't seen it with their own eyes, they couldn't believe that what was happening in front of them would be real.
Apprentice Knight Jason, Knight Squire Paul, Knight Quentin, Gria standing in front of the tent, Wick in a cage, and all the knights and soldiers in the camp were all shocked.
"Brandt, he flew away. Roy muttered to himself. "How can he fly?" But no bird or beast could match his speed, not even a giant dragon.
"Ranger Roy," Sir Colin asked, shaking his eyes as he looked at the young Ranger beside him, "what happened in the woods just now?" He was still shocked in his heart, the magician's abilities were still so mysterious to him.
Roy told Sir Colin exactly what the one-eyed man had said in the woods. He knew where Brandt had gone, and if it were him, he would have done the same.
After listening to Roy's account, Sir Colin and Rand Knight's faces changed suddenly, and they looked at each other in surprise, and for a moment they didn't know what to say.
Sir Colin pondered that Brant must have returned to Boulder or to the Golden Tooth. He had to rush back before the Assassins could do it, perhaps the assassination group had already taken action against the Islamic family. Sir Colin overthrew the objects of his previous suspicions, their identities and abilities had been derailed from the orbit of this event, and the real mastermind behind the scenes was an absolutely powerful being.
The Islam family has debts that must be repaid, and without absolute strength to support them, the assassination organization will not be able to provoke the wrath of the Duke of Boulder City. Ser Colin was hesitating whether he should return to Boulder with his men, or should he wait for Lord Tyrelll to return?
"Knight Rand," said Sir Colin in a deep voice, "now that Lord Tyrell is gone, you shall at once lead your men back to Salt Town to inform Baron SΓΉ Kane of the news." β
"Sir Colin, aren't you going back to Boulder City?" Knight Rand knew very well that once the news came, it would lead to a war in the entire Cania Federation. The only thing he could do now was to prepare for the pre-war mobilization, and although the enemy was unknown, he could think of only a few big families that could pose a threat to the Islam family.
"I'll take my men and continue to Rock Harbor. "Sir Colin has made a decision.
"He probably won't go to Rock Harbor. Rand Knight noted.
"He will. "Even if Brant didn't plan to go to Rocky Harbor to inherit his father, Earl Carter's title and domain, Duke Philip would never allow it. The Duke must have forcibly ordered Lord Tyrell to rush to Rocky Harbor. All he had to do was lead his men to wait for Lord Tyrell in Rocky Harbor. Perhaps Mistress Tyrell would have arrived before him, and he would have to speed up.
"Sir Colin," said Rand Knight, "I will now draw my camp and lead the soldiers back to Salt Town. "No one knows when war will come and who the enemy will be, but he must always be ready for battle.
"Then let's say goodbye, and I will also lead my subordinates to set off for Raven Forest Town overnight. β
"Maybe soon we'll be fighting together. Rand Knight declared. The valiant knight deserves to be knighted on a real battlefield, and this is an opportunity for him.
"That would be my pleasure. Sir Colin replied. The sword in the scabbard will eventually be unsheathed, and his destiny will be rewritten.
Brant Tyrell vanished into the air, and Grea looked up at the starry sky, how many secrets did he have that I didn't know?, and in spite of his terrible situation, I had sworn allegiance to him, and he had promised to take revenge on me, and every word he said spoke spoke to his honor. I must regain my honor and be loyal to him.
Glia decides to follow Ser Colin to The Rocky Harbor, where Wick will be escorted by a prison van. Whatever the reason, she had to go to Rocky Harbor. She made the final choice for her fate and put all her bets on it.
Half an hour later, the soldiers of the Rand Knight had already packed their belongings, tents and other items, and under his order, hundreds of soldiers were lined up in a row of four and left towards the west road in an orderly manner.
Sir Colin led his men on his way east, intending to reach Raven Grove before daybreak. Roy rode his black horse with Sir Colin, and Grea was given a grey horse, and Sir Colin had no objection to her following, as Lord Tyrell had declared her his attendant.
