Nguyen Ham has always been imitated, never surpassed
Nguyen Ham is a generation Ico
, leading the fashion trend. Many of the things he did later appeared in "copycat versions". When he and Nguyen lived together, the two poor people lived in Tao Nan, known as "Nam Nguyen". Wealthy relatives disdained to mingle with the two of them, and lived across the street, in the northern part of the province, known as "North Nguyen". On the 7th of July, when books were to be dried, the North Nguyen people took out all kinds of books and silk and satin to fill a large square to show that they were knowledgeable and wealthy. Ruan Xian saw it with disdain, so he found a pair of his tattered pants and hung them high. At that time, underwear could not be exposed in public, and it was inevitable that some people would point fingers and wonder what he was crazy about. Ruan Xian just understated, "Today, I can't be exempt from vulgarity, so let's bask in it." In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, there was a "copycat version": Hao Long was also a poor bastard, and on July 7 of another year, when others were drying books, he lay in the yard, stripped off his clothes, and opened his belly to bask in the sun - those books were drying in his belly.
From Ruan Xian to Hao Long, the story of the book is not only naughty and fun, but also the trajectory of the personality independence of these thoughtful but non-wealthy scribes. They are not ashamed of themselves because they show off the illustrious background of others, but they look coldly at those extravagance, and their calmness and self-control have never changed because they are facing a "king" or a "tyrant".
This is a continuation of the spirit of taxis that began in the Spring and Autumn period. Ruan Xian's nonsense is essentially similar to Lin Xiang's threat to the death of King Qin Zhao at the meeting of Michi, which cannot be taken lightly. This is also why those who claim to be kings and hegemons must be cautious when they invite learned people to come out to be officials, and they must be cautious. Otherwise, the literati were unhappy, just like the literati of the Western Han Dynasty, who unceremoniously scolded the future emperor Liu Bang as a rabble. In Ruan Xian's time, the killing of the coup d'état of Gao Pingling was still in front of him, and most of the world's famous people were killed, which was the time when the arrogance of this literati was tested to the greatest extent. And Ruan Xian is still the same, in addition to pride, it is also a style, a kind of madness. Although it may seem out of place at times, it is admirable.
But it is too crazy, often accompanied by frivolity. Nguyen Haen's mother died, and her aunt brought an orchid to mourn. Unexpectedly, Ruan Xian fell in love with this girl, and couldn't help rolling the sheets with the girl. In the end, her aunt left, Ruan Xian ignored her filial piety, and rode a donkey to chase the pregnant woman back, and said, "The race must not be lost."
However, the religion of etiquette says that after the funeral of parents, after three years of filial piety, you must wear coarse linen clothes that pierce the skin and flesh, you can't shave your head, you can't listen to music, and you can't find a woman. But for more than three years and a thousand days, isn't living like this every day as uncomfortable as being tortured? So a disciple of Confucius once asked him, does it have to be so long? Confucius said that keeping filial piety for three years is because your parents have raised you for three years, so that you can get out of their arms, and you don't have to worry about your fragile life being hurt by accident. These three years are to make you miss their kindness, if you feel that you don't need three years, you are no longer sad, you don't miss it, then you don't have to abide by this form.
Confucius's answer was reasonable, but by the time of the Eastern Han Dynasty, this rule had become a cold number. Under the ideology of "ruling the world with filial piety", the three-year form is necessary, but the nostalgia for parents will not last that long. Parents always ask for their children without asking for anything in return, and they regard them as more important than life, but children look at their parents as old houses and used skins, and children will only transfer their selfless dedication to the next generation. Therefore, in the three years of idleness, some people changed their methods to mourn on the surface, have fun in private, and even give birth to several children in the tomb of filial piety.
This is the conflict between propriety and affection. When it came time for Ruan Xian to make a choice, he chose love without hesitation, because love represents truth at this time. Ruan Xian is a truth-seeker, preferring to be barbaric rather than despise any hypocritical civilization. He is such a person: he would rather be a real frivolous than a hypocrite.
Later, people also learned from Ruan Xian. During the Yuankang period of the Western Jin Dynasty, the rich gentlemen distributed nakedness, and a group of people played with women collectively during the banquet. There is also Zhou Yi in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, when he saw a beautiful woman at a friend's house, he had to hug her to play, which was a thing that made the world look sideways. It's just that their informality, without this kind of choice of love and courtesy, seems to be a bit frivolous for the sake of shocking the world.
After that, the Chinese and Korean celebrities of the Western Jin Dynasty learned the "bamboo forest romance", and most of what they learned was Ruan Xian's road. Ji Kang and Ruan Ji are too bitter and bitter, they can no longer understand such pain in peacetime, Liu Ling is inevitably monotonous, and Shan Tao and Wang Rong are big officials, let alone represent the demeanor of Zhulin.
Ruan Xian's path developed to the climax of the inner emotional liberation of the scholars, a bit like a hippie. There are no rules, and there is no etiquette.
Ruan Xian loves to drink, drink with a cup, drink with a bowl, and in the end he is not addicted, so he drinks directly in the jar. Their pigs are free-range, and they actually went to his wine vat to steal wine and drink, Ruan Xian didn't care, and became drinking friends with the pigs. Later "Bada" (Guangyi, Xie Kun, Ruan Fang, Bi Zhuo, Yang Man, Huan Yi, Ruan Fu, Hu Wuyanguo, these eight famous descendants of the noble family who behaved freely and drank a lot of alcohol) also learned from him, often drinking with his hair scattered, taking off his clothes and blowing the wind, almost like other species, to be obscured by nature.
Hu Wuyanguo, one of the "Badas", once drank heavily at home, but his son was walking by the door and said very unceremoniously, "Hu Wuyanguo, don't drink anymore!" "In ancient times, Lao Tzu's name was unspeakable: Lu Ji, a genius in Jiangnan at about the same time, had no choice but to go north to be an official because the Wu State was destroyed by the Western Jin Dynasty. When Lu Zhi, a native of the Western Jin Dynasty, saw him, he asked him arrogantly, who are Lu Xun and Lu Kang? Lu Ji was like being slapped in the face, trembling with anger, and said stiffly, just like the relationship between Lu Yu, Lu Ting and you. Others called his grandfather and father's names, and he had to call them back to be relieved. No one else can call your father by his name, let alone yourself.
As a result, Hu Wuyanguo was not angry at all, but beckoned and called his son in to drink together quite favorably. If etiquette is put aside, isn't this story a sincere expression of the affection between father and son? The son was afraid that his father would be overly drunk, and wanted to stop his father, but "Father, don't drink anymore" was just a soft exhortation, and only by shouting his father's name could it have a deterrent effect. It is this seemingly rebellious behavior that reflects the true feelings between father and son, which is very ironic, right?
Another popular habit among celebrities in China and North Korea also comes from Ruan Xian: being an official does not work. We said that anyone who is a little famous Sima Yan must let him be an official, and Ruan Xian also has a position, a free horseman. Like the Huangmen squire, the Loose Horse Squire was an official who worked as a secretary by the emperor's side. Anyone with a bit of experience knows that the leading secretaries seem to have no official position, but they have to do things, find secretaries - they actually have the power to influence the emperor's decisions. However, Ruan Xian, except for one unsuccessful nomination by Shan Tao to be the official minister, his political resume is blank.
Nguyen Haen had little interest in politics, but he lived a wonderful life. Later, people learned Ruan Xian, but they learned it wrong. They understand that in order to live a good life, they must show that they are not interested in politics, otherwise they are not cool. Ruan Xian's inadvertent eating and waiting for death created a large number of celebrities like Wang Yan who talked about mysteries and did not do practical things, and they finally died in the country.
They still misunderstood Ruan Xian: Ruan Xian stayed away from politics, he played with himself, at most until his head fell to the ground, and he did things by himself. But when they play the country and play to the sinking of Shenzhou, they can't afford it.
