Chapter 20: The Dawn of Justice (2)
Twilight.
The golden light shines through the windows, and although the evening sun is short, it is more relaxing and cherished than the morning light.
"Let's go, I'm off work, I'll treat you to dinner." Louise greeted with her bag.
Now, even if Bruce wanted to leave, she was reluctant to let him leave easily.
The two of them went downstairs together, and Louise smiled, "You drank a lot of coffee one afternoon, can you fall asleep tonight?"
Bruce curled the corners of his mouth, "I probably didn't have much time to sleep tonight."
"Why?"
"A gut feeling."
In fact, of course, because Bruce remembered what Ryan had said, and while he didn't know what was going to happen tonight, it was sure to be particularly exciting.
But Louise laughed at his words, "I remember interviewing Mr. Wayne, and he also liked to describe some inconvenient reasons for telling people as 'a kind of intuition.'"
"It's not just proof that I'm not lying."
"Yes, I've believed it for a long time. By the way, I just received a call from a friend, and her research proves that everything that happened before has nothing to do with Superman, and I have made an appointment with General Swanwick from the Department of Defense, and we can reveal the truth behind this series of events to everyone tomorrow morning."
"That's great."
Louise smiled as well, "But you haven't told me where you're from."
"To be honest, I don't know ......."
As she spoke, a figure suddenly rushed up from behind Louise, covering her mouth with one hand and dragging her away.
Bruce's eyes widened when he saw this, and then he quickly moved behind his back to draw his gun.
However, his hand was immediately grabbed, and a large hand followed and covered his mouth.
Soon, the two were thrown into a car, and the black muzzles in front and back made them dare not move.
"Who is this kid?"
"I don't know, but he's with Louise, and he's ......" The speaker reached out and removed the pistol that Bruce had hidden behind his waist.
"Hehe, children don't just play with guns."
Bruce stared at the other indifferently.
Seeing this, the other party opened the safety and put the muzzle of the gun on Bruce's forehead.
"Don't!" Louise exclaimed in surprise and stopped Bruce behind her, "He's just an ordinary kid, what you want to catch must be me, right, there's no need to hurt him."
However, the other party ignored her and continued to point at Bruce, "Boy, what's your name?"
Hearing this, Louise quickly turned her head and wanted to signal to Bruce.
But Bruce was smart enough to open his mouth and say, "Ryan Kyle."
Hearing this, Louise breathed a sigh of relief.
"Ryan Kyle?" A group of people looked at each other and shook their heads.
"No matter, take it back."
The two men were closely guarded and moved away from the vehicle, and after a few moments, the vehicle stopped.
Louise was taken away, and before parting, she was still reassuring Bruce with her eyes.
But there was no panic on Bruce's face, and he was transferred to another place, where there was a middle-aged woman with gray hair, both of whom were tied to their chairs.
Bruce felt that the woman's side face looked familiar, and the more he looked at it, the more he felt as if he had seen each other.
So, in the face of the silent guards of a group of gunmen, Bruce still mustered up the courage to speak.
"Hello, I'm Ryan Kyle."
Hearing this, the gangster looked at him twice and then withdrew his gaze, obviously not caring much about it.
The middle-aged woman turned her head when she heard this, "Hello, child."
Seeing the other party's scarred face, Bruce was shocked.
Pressing the vibration of his mind, he smiled lightly and asked, "I don't know why they brought me to this place, what about you?"
The woman shook her head slightly.
Bruce asked again, "What's ...... What's your name?"
The woman smiled gently.
"Martha."
Suddenly, young Bruce's eyes widened and his mouth opened, and countless images appeared in his mind again, constantly hitting his nerves and heart.
I don't know how long it took for him to finally say in a dry, hoarse voice, "Martha?"
"Yes, Martha Kent."
At this time, someone next to him scolded: "Enough, this is not a place for you to chat and make friends, shut up for me!!"
Martha gave Bruce a reassuring look, then lowered her head slightly, her expression sad.
Bruce still looked at her sideways, as if trying to catch a glimpse of something different.
Canterlot.
Barry looked at the last piece of pizza in Selena's hand without tears.
"Cool, isn't it?"
Selina nodded, "Sort of."
"Why don't I give you heat?"
"Okay."
Barry took the pizza and walked to the microwave.
Selina looked at the wall clock on the wall, and the second hand fluttered in her pupils.
Click!
When the second hand points to twelve, the minute hand coincides with it, and the hour hand points precisely to eight.
Selina jumped up from her chair.
"Let's go!"
Barry looked back, "What?"
"Take me to Gotham."
Barry was even more confused.
Selena: "I'm here for you so you can take me back to Gotham at this point in time."
"But, you just told me that you're from Gotham."
"yes, is there a problem?"
"Big problem!" Barry was shocked, "If you're already in Gotham, why did you leave Gotham and let me take you to Gotham?"
Selina, of course, refused to expose Ryan directly, so her eyes rolled and she was about to start talking nonsense.
After a whole afternoon of getting along, Barry had already figured it out.
Then, a yellow lightning bolt suddenly burst into the room.
Barry moves at a super-high speed, and Selina freezes in place.
He gently took the phone out of Selina's pocket, unlocked it with her hand, and quickly found the text message.
"Ryan?" He raised an eyebrow, thought for a moment, then turned off his phone and plugged it back on, and returned to his place in the blink of an eye.
Everything is back to normal.
Serena: "Because I ......"
"Okay, you don't have to say anything, I'll send you back. But are you ready?"
"Huh?"
"Forget it, I can see you don't know anything, let's go."
Barry zipped up his coat and moved around.
Selina soon let out a scream in his arms.
A beam of light rises from Gotham City, illuminating the clouds, and the giant bat symbol can be seen even from far away in the Metropolis.
Louise and Lex stand side by side.
Lex pointed to the distant sky, "What do you see?"
Louise furrowed her brow, "Batman."
"No, it's a bat that is about to finish killing gods."
Hearing this, Louise suddenly turned her head, "What are you going to do?"
Lex didn't answer and asked, "You should know something about the metals of the Lex Group?"
"Of course, you left behind bullets, that's the best evidence, and I've found out your guilt."
Lex smiled and said to himself, "Before you came, I improvised, and there were only three protagonists tonight. But you may not believe it, just last night, I met the fourth protagonist, who was supposed to have the most balanced relationship between the three of them, but he broke the balance, but that's a good thing, because I'm sure everything will be out because of him
It's different." As he spoke, he walked up behind Louise.
"This scene is about to begin, and as one of the heroines, you have to listen to my instructions."
Lex put his hands on Louise's shoulders.
"Now...... Action。」
At the same time as the voice sounded, Louise was also pushed off the tall building.
