Chapter 27: Too much
Night, rain.
A lavish living room with a few people sitting around the fireplace.
The firewood crackles and the sparks sway.
The big bat changed his clothes, the wine glass in his hand turned, but his eyes always looked at the young Bruce on the side from time to time.
Teenage Bruce flipped through the thick album of photos he was learning about his past and why he was the way he is.
Selina sat next to him and discussed with him as she watched.
"Master, eat some fruit."
The big bat waved his hand without looking back: "I don't ......."
"Thank you."
Turning his head, young Bruce was thanking Alfred, and Alfred's old face was almost smiling like a blooming flower.
Young Bruce picked up a piece of watermelon and tasted it, squinting and smiling, "It's delicious."
Ah Fu bent down, filled with a kind and kind aura from the inside out, "You're welcome, this is just airlifted this afternoon, and it's still fresh. By the way, I also made black tea, do I need a cup?"
"Okay." Young Bruce was as good as a stream, grinning and complimenting, "By the way, I think you are better than the Alfred I know."
Suddenly, the old butler's eyes couldn't be opened with a smile.
The big bat's face twitched, his eyes rolled, and he found that no one was looking at him, and his embarrassment suddenly became much less.
"Alfred." He called.
The old butler, who was turning away, kept saying, "Mr. Wayne, please wait a moment, and I will serve you later."
Burst......
Serena's snickering was heard clearly in the ears of the big bat.
He forced himself not to look at the little girl.
As long as there is no eye contact, then I am not embarrassed.
"Alfred."
The old butler simply stopped, turned around, and bowed down neatly, and responded in time: "Young master, I am here."
Young Bruce smiled crookedly, "Can you get us some ice cream?"
"Of course, no problem, I'll be right away."
Alfred walked away quickly.
The big bat looked down at the shaking drink, its teeth bulging slightly.
After a while, Alfred returned with the food cart.
The big bat squinted and peeked, and immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
Three cups of black tea, three servings of ice cream.
Sure enough, Ah Fu still has me in his heart.
Teenagers Bruce and Serena split the two, and Alfred held the tea and ice cream in his left and right hands.
The big bat cleared its throat and could look at the flames jumping in the fireplace, and said, "I just need black tea."
"Huh? Mr. Wayne, do you want black tea too?"
The big bat was stunned for a moment and turned his head to look.
Alfred was placing black tea and ice cream on the table next to someone on the other side.
Oh yes, it's not three, it's four.
It's just that Ryan has been resting calmly with his eyes closed, so the big bat accidentally forgot about him.
"Mr. Wayne gives him if he needs it, I prefer ice cream." Ryan opened his eyes, his tone calm without the slightest fluctuation.
Alfred bowed, "Okay, I'll bring you another drink later, I guess Mr. Wayne can't wait."
Ryan smiled, "I understand, if you drink too much, you will inevitably feel thirsty."
"Thank you very much for your understanding, and besides, your smile makes me feel like a spring breeze."
Alfred, who could talk, brought the tea to the big bat and whispered, "Mr. Wayne, please use it slowly."
The big bat didn't respond, his eyes flashing with sparks, and his calm face looked like a sculpture.
As for his cheeks, they were probably red from the flames.
Teenagers Bruce and Serena couldn't cover their mouths
Laughter.
After a long moment, Ryan's gaze swept away, "Isn't it funny?"
There was a sudden silence in the living room.
The big bat's toes were finally able to relax.
After all, he was the one who had experienced the big scene, he coughed lightly, looked up at Ryan, and a smile curled up at the corner of his mouth: "Thank you for your help."
Ryan blinked, "Which time did you say that?"
"Hahahaha...... Sorry, I ate it so fast that my tongue froze, I'll take care of it......" Selina got up and ran.
"I...... Ha ha...... The tea burns my tongue, I'll take care of it too......" Boy Bruce followed.
After a while, the young man's cheerful laughter still couldn't stop coming from a distance.
The big bat stiffened his face, eager to turn into a dark knight on the spot, and disappeared directly after a camera change.
Fortunately, the footsteps that followed relieved him.
Louise's face was haggard, and the bloodshot in her eyes had not faded, but there was a smile on the corner of her mouth, and the whole body was quite relaxed.
When the big bat saw it, he immediately beckoned, "You haven't rested yet, do you want to sit for a while?"
"Thank you." Louise nodded, sat down on the couch beside Ryan, and let out a long sigh of relief.
"Drink something?"
"No need."
"They ......"
"Not awake yet, but Alfred says they're fine."
"That's good."
Louise smiled slightly, turned her head to look at Ryan, and said with a very sincere look in her eyes and tone, "Thank you for saving him."
Ryan nodded.
There's nothing to be embarrassed to accept, after all, Clark would really have to die once without him.
As for what happens in space, it should be paid in advance.
Now, they're both clear.
Immediately, Louise's brows furrowed slightly, and she looked at Ryan, wanting to stop talking.
Ryan understood and took the initiative to say, "Martha is already old, and he was exhausted by what happened last night, so I let her sleep well. Clark's injuries are heavy, and he is almost as normal as an ordinary person under the influence of workable damage, so it is normal to be on the verge of death. But they'll all wake up by tomorrow morning at the latest."
Louise frowned, not having the slightest doubt about Ryan's words.
Big Bat: "What about the other two?"
"Their consumption is very serious, and it can even be said that they are overdrawn, so they also have to rest for a night."
"That...... What about you?"
"Me?" Ryan raised an eyebrow.
The big bat smiled, "Who are you?"
"What do you think?"
"I don't know, but you seem to know a lot about that monster, you call him Doom Day, don't you, you know it well?"
Ryan laughed, "It's not that this world is devoid of things I don't understand, but it's very little."
The atmosphere in the room was suddenly suffocated.
Louise was caught in the middle, looked left and right, and squeezed out a smile: "Aren't you all tired, I'm just here to ask and I'm going to rest, I feel like I can fall asleep standing now."
Hearing this, Ryan silently looked at the big bat, and the big bat looked at him without giving in.
"Batman, you're amazing. Isn't it that no matter what others do, you have to take others for granted as your imaginary enemies, and then call them "cautious?" Young Bruce walked in with his hands in his pockets.
If you are someone else, don't say that it is yin and yang, just point at his nose and scold, he will not have too many psychological fluctuations.
But in the face of his young self, his mentality is completely different.
The big bat retracted his gaze, got up, and said, "I'll go to sleep, you are free."
In front of outsiders, taking the initiative to take a step back should already be the limit of what he can do.
Young Bruce was about to say more, but Ryan stopped with his eyes.
More than enough is too much.
Right
Everyone is the same.
