However, there are many impersonal or deficiencies in the Legalist doctrine, such as breaking the law against the father, what the son needs to do, the merits and sins can be offset, the court needs to act according to the law, and the emperor also needs to obey the law? If the emperor takes the lead in breaking the law, then how will the law be enforced?

And so on this series of questions and how to do it, these have always been problems, and the royal family is also aware of them.

The first emperor Ke was a benevolent monarch, and he paid attention to these problems for decades in power, and generally did not go beyond the national law to deal with ministers and nobles. But when it comes to Wang Jing, it's different, Wang Jing often orders exile, in fact, if you take it seriously, this is already too heavy.

But intimidated by the majesty of the emperor, no one dared to say more.

As a result, some Confucian schools began to look for a basis for the Son of Heaven to do so from the Zhou rites. But there is also another problem, filial piety in the Zhou rite is also very important.

Legalism advocates that fathers break the law, and sons cannot cover up, some radical schools advocate righteousness to kill relatives, and some schools advocate fathers breaking the law, and sons avoid it.

However, in the eyes of Confucianism, these practices of Legalism are wrong, and Confucius advocated concealment of relatives, that is, fathers, and sons should conceal them.

Mencius quoted the ancient sage Shun, Shun's father broke the law, Shun could not use the power of the Son of Heaven to ask for the law to be perverted, but he could not ignore his father's affection and watch his father be punished, the correct way to deal with it should be to give up the position of the Son of Heaven and live in seclusion with his father to a remote place.

So from the king's point of view, among these choices, the king is more willing to choose Confucius's approach, and hide from each other.

Because of the existence of Zijue, coupled with the protection of the family's luck and bird, the personality and IQ are normal, and there is a perfect education system, this has never been the case. But that's not to say that this won't happen in the future.

This made Confucianism see an opportunity, of course, in addition to this factor, there is another reason for the problem of Zhou rites.

The debate of Huayi in Zhuxia, the beauty of the chapter is called the Hua, and the great etiquette is called the summer. Here, the weekly rite is a very important issue.

Daqian also recognized the rule of the Zhou Dynasty, and etiquette was also a must. Basically, few Legalists will study Zhou etiquette, and the most profound study of etiquette is Confucianism.

For a long time, the battle between Confucianism and Legalism over rituals and laws was severe. And now His Majesty, because of the strength of the Legalists, has also begun to support Confucianism and etiquette, and advocate loyalty and filial piety.

With Wang Jing's support, Confucianism soon compiled the Book of Rites, which recorded the ritual systems of the pre-Qin Warring States, the Spring and Autumn Period, and the Bang and Zhou dynasties, as well as some of the political systems within them.

Many of these rituals are at odds with the Legalists, who want to abolish this Book of Rites, but this ritual is the difference between Zhuxia and barbarians. If the liturgy is abolished, there will definitely be a big problem at that time.

Therefore, after the "Book of Rites" was written, it has always made the Legalists feel very uncomfortable in their throats.

At the same time, Legalism also needs etiquette in many cases, such as husband and wife, those who are completed according to the etiquette law are considered husband and wife, and the rest are considered concubines, but if there is no etiquette, how to determine the status of the wife?

Confucianism started with etiquette and successfully defeated the Legalists, and at the same time, etiquette also found a political basis for Wang Jing to open up the Western Regions.

Wang Jing's exploration of the Western Regions was not supported by all in the imperial court, in fact, there were a large number of officials, nobles, and heroes who were opposed to the development of the Western Regions.

In their opinion, the development of the Western Regions is a waste of money, and it is better to form a caravan with this money, and it is only right to earn more wealth from the trade routes of the Western Regions, and the development of Zhuxia also requires a large number of migrating people.

This was unacceptable to Wang Jing, who had always suppressed these people and pursued a policy of opening up the Western Regions. The Book of Rites has found a political support for it, which is actually the revenge theory of the Offering School.

The Western Regions used to be the territory of the Xiongnu, and they strongly supported the Western Regions. After defeating the Xiongnu, it is natural to occupy this place, and at the same time to continue to suppress the Xiongnu.

Wang Jing used rituals to suppress Legalists many times, but many times he also felt that rituals were too cumbersome, and he belonged to the kind of rituals that were good for him, and if they were useless to him, they were not, so after the "Book of Rites" was written, he began to delete the "Book of Rites".

The Confucian Confucian Dai Sheng sent the compiled "Book of Rites" to Wang Jing for review.

After reading this "Book of Rites", Wang Jing also felt that some of the etiquette was too cumbersome. For example, the Book of Rites requires that you should fast and bathe three months in advance, which is simply messing around.

There are so many affairs in the imperial court, and it is not realistic to fast for three months, so it is simply not realistic to cancel all celebrations or banquets for these three months. But if you don't fast, you don't pay attention to it.

In particular, the object of worship is King Hao Tianwen, the ancestor of his own family. Wang Jing thought for a while, and the ancestor was also impatient with this cumbersome etiquette, so he ordered to change the three-month fast to seven days. All at once, the time was cut by more than 90%.

Other red tape was then ordered to be revised, or procedures to be simplified. After all, if everything is in accordance with the above "Book of Rites", the court will waste its time on these etiquettes for a year, how can it be done?

At the same time, the funeral ceremony is also simplified as much as possible. Since the Bang Zhou period, Zhuxia has a strict set of etiquette for funerals, and advocates that after death should be the same as before death.

That is to say, how to live before death, after death should also be the same, coupled with the respect of filial piety, to the great cadres to dominate the world, the world is peaceful, since the rule of God, the people are rich, and the people have risen the wind of thick burial.

If the elders pass away and the children and grandchildren are not buried well, it is regarded as unfilial piety. In the long run, the people were under a lot of pressure, and even the families of abundance became abject poor after a funeral.

The royal family has implemented thin burials since the ancestor Zijue, and the funeral goods are only a piece of beautiful jade plus bamboo slips or bronzes that write a lifetime of achievements. Therefore, the funeral style is very important.

This time, Wang Jing is going to carry out the simple burial in the way of etiquette. Even if the emperor of later generations violated the simple burial, the minister or the clan could oppose it according to the rites.

According to the Zhou rites, when the princes and kings or the Son of Heaven die, there must be a small auspicious ceremony, a large auspicious ceremony, and a final release.

Xiaoxiang is the first anniversary of the death of his parents, that is, the thirteenth month, and Daxiang is the twenty-fifth month of the second anniversary of his death, adding up to three years.

These three years are the mourning period, during which all clothing, food, housing and transportation have different regulations, such as not wearing gorgeous clothes, not eating spicy and meat, not drinking alcohol, not holding banquets, singing and dancing, and so on.

In real history, Yuan Shao at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty was mourned for three years, and lived near his parents' graves for three years, and then he was called a model in the world.

If it is done according to the record in the "Book of Rites", will the emperor also have to serve three years of mourning? When the emperor dies, does the minister also have to serve three years of mourning?

Such a long mourning period is simply frustrating, and it is torture for the people of the world, Wang Jing directly changed the funeral to replace the month with the day, and at the same time simplified it, simplifying the funeral to thirty days.

In this way, the emperor died, and the world only needed to serve the funeral for a month. And the funeral of the Son of Heaven is only a month, and you dare to have more than a month of funeral for the people? To exceed is to trespass.

In addition, the mausoleum of the Son of Heaven was also strictly restricted, no thick burials were allowed, at most some terracotta warriors and horses were allowed to be burned as burials, and the emperor was not allowed to build the imperial mausoleum during his lifetime, so as not to make the emperor happy and build a 'pyramid' for himself.

After the death of the emperor, he will be buried after a year at most, and no matter how much it is built in a year, the scale of the imperial tomb will not be too large.

Wang Jing is even more disgusted with the "Internal Rules", the records in it are too cumbersome, including many problems such as clothing, food, housing and transportation.

Basically, from getting up in the morning to going to bed at night, all the things to be done in a day are recorded, and Wang Jing sees that his scalp is numb.

Wang Jing asked himself, he couldn't do this. If you can't do it yourself, do you have to go to someone else to do it?

Therefore, Wang Jing made a lot of revisions and annotations to the "Internal Rules", such as the need for women to cover their faces when they go out, which in his opinion is redundant. In the pre-Qin period, it was said that they would not eat offal, but in order to save food, the people always ate offal.

If it is forbidden, let the people do what? In addition, there are all kinds of troubles, such as filial piety, according to the Book of Rites, there are parents who are all in the world. Parents made the right decisions.

But many things can't be seen in this way, if the parents let the wife divorce, the son also has to carry it out?

The relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law has been a difficult problem since ancient times.

For others, what if their parents let them sin? Do you also listen to your parents?

This is not alarmist, what if parents want to eat bamboo shoots in winter? Could it be that if you really go to the bamboo forest and cry, there will be bamboo shoots growing on the ground? Do you think you are the heir of the prince of Hao Tianwen?

Wang Jing made a lot of comments, annotations, and even direct deletions and revisions to the Book of Rites. At the same time, the "Book of Rites" is not included in the scope of assessment, and only requires knowledge and reading.
