Chapter 33: The Explosion
When the greenskins were in the way of the minefield, all the soldiers at the outpost moved quickly, and their goal was exceptionally simple, packing up their belongings and dismantling the erected heavy explosives.
"Hurry, hurry! Fastest speed! Don't think about the miscellaneous, don't tidy up the clothes, hurry up! John shouted that they were going to abandon the outpost, but the Greenskins couldn't get it.
Defeat was already doomed, the strength of the Green Legion was too large and fast to catch people off guard, and Alan Baier could only hope that those things buried in the ground could give them a little, a little imperial surprise.
But even so, there is one thing that cannot be avoided, and that is that small detonation devices cannot be used on this planet.
Someone needs to detonate a bomb in the battalion ...
There is no shortage of sacrificial people in the Astral Army, and if it weren't for the fact that having one of himself and John go to see the God Emperor would also make the operation chaotic, then Alan Baier would definitely detonate it.
As the soldiers packed their belongings and shot at the orcs with their packages on their backs, and waited for the order to leave, Alan Bair announced to the soldiers the grim news that one of the 80 Astral Army here would have to be left behind.
"Boss, I'm comingโ" John walked forward without hesitation, but he was still afraid, frightened, and his eyes wandered.
No mortal is afraid of death, but that's the way it is, unless the damned planet suddenly has a stable magnetic field.
"You can't, John, you've got to get people to follow you."
His voice had just fallen.
The brown-haired girl sergeant shouted. "I'm coming!"
Heavy bomber Kellan shouted. "I'm coming!"
The sound continued.
"Boss, I'm coming!" A recruit called.
"Sir, I'm coming!" Another added.
Alan Baier had seen his comrades in a circle, shooting the green-skinned engines of war, delaying their pace, and insisting on paying for others in the narrow outposts, and even if they had nothing, the Emperor's soldiers were still generous with their only lives.
He shouted! "Some say we're a new legion, some say we're damned rats, but we're also rubbish who don't need a commissar to shoot at the enemy."
"The loss of any of you will be remembered, but I don't want anyone to leave because of this plan."
Everyone looked at Alan Baier with strange eyes, after all, there was not much time now.
He frowned and shouted. "I want to say, let me come!"
The others kept stopping him, but he was determined.
Although it will affect the action, he believes that John will successfully lead the team back, and he will be blessed by the God Emperor to survive.
He grabbed the detonating device and generously went to justice.
But moments later, the mechanical girl poked her head out of the outpost. "Good morning, flesh and blood, I've placed a two-minute delay signal for your explosion outpost, now let's go."
Alan Baier blushed. "Now, get out of the outpost, and don't forget your laser gun..."
He muttered. "Technology changes fate... Next time, you shouldn't be led by the atmosphere. โ
But the farce was not useless, but their presence caused the Greenskins to be shot at by the beams, slowing down the final march before the mechanical priest installed the equipment.
When the soldiers left the shelter, there was reluctance in the eyes of those who had gone away, even though they had nothing but sacred weapons and front-line rations, dog tags and death.
But the battlefield is not an absolutely unforgiving place, but now reason demands that they abandon this loyal house.
In the hall of the watchtower, the portrait of the God-Emperor was torn away, and the place where the soldiers once knelt became empty, and the lights echoed in the room.
In the room of the watchtower, the soldiers' scattered small things were scattered on the ground, the bags of field rations that had been eaten were also dropped, and the empty beds were painted with images painted by the soldiers when they were bored.
At the top of the watchtower, the closed lumen tower lost its light, and only a glimmer of light fell through the hole through the flare, shining on the position that Alan Baier usually guarded, as if someone was still standing there, watching vigilantly with binoculars.
The thunder of the minefield continued, the powerful explosives scattered but could not kill the green-skinned engine of war, and some of the boys saw the shrimp leave, happily chasing forward, wanting to slaughter them, but only to bring only explosions and mushroom fragments.
Iron Fang shouted. "Occupy the shrimp watchtower, and when we get to the shrimp capital, we will be beaten up!"
The low Gothic almost gurgled out of their throats with disgusting alien words, and they quickly walked into the watchtower, messing around like naughty children.
Alan Bair's plan was good, and they were only given an empty outpost made of reinforced concrete and garbage, which was still a great sacrifice, but in the face of inevitable defeat, the Imperial Guards were victorious.
When the ranks of soldiers sneaked into the forest, the greenskins could no longer find them, and Iron Fang fiddled with the light bulbs in the outpost, but could not see a single useful scrap or weapon...
"Damn shrimp! Damn dried shrimp! His massive pincers slammed into the concrete wall, denting the solid stuff with such force that it cracked open, revealing the pitch-black stuff inside the wall.
Iron Tooth quickly realizes that something is wrong, especially as it is written.
"Dynamite...", Iron Tooth had just pronounced it, and the time for the mechanical priest to explode had arrived, and it shook like an earthquake, and before the greenskins' brains could react, a violent energy exploded under their feet.
The Kill Can, which was parked next to the outpost, was using his mechanical arm to pick his nose, and although he had no nose or fingers, the pilot must have an itchy nose.
And he suddenly noticed that his "arm" suddenly trembled, and shouted to the skill bully next to him who was defending him. "My hands aren't very good."
The machine bully scolded back. "Not so good? I just adjusted there! โ
But after a few moments, the vibration grew louder and louder, and the machine bully shouted. "What are you doing, don't move!"
The orc driving the can shouted. "It's not me!"
The intense light shone and burst into the dark forest, the fern leaves shook like a storm, and the sky-high explosion was visible even in the upper echelons of Karui City.
The female commissar was taken by Niko. Major General Nilom shouted, in the upper chapel.
"What's that location?"
The female commissar replied. "It's Outpost Three, my lord..."
The Major General thought for a moment. "It's where Lieutenant Colonel Arvada of Katachan 72 and Second Lieutenant Alan Baier of the 3rd Infantry Regiment of Skadi are, right?"
The commissar replied. "Yes!"
The Major's fat body made an eagle salute in that direction. "For the Emperor..."
But soon, about two hours after their remembrance, the herald spoke beside him. "Sir, Second Lieutenant Alan Bair and Corporal John Deern of the 3rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Company, 4th Platoon, ask for a meeting!"
