Chapter 15: Worried Clark
The sky was as blue and velvety as blue.
The bright sun shines and the soothing spring breeze stirs the branches of the cherry blossom trees on campus.
The cherry blossom petals flutter and fall, beautiful and colorful.
The students came and went with their books in their hands, and the three and two gathered in a pile and chatted.
David and the others walked in the school, and Clark next to him looked at David from time to time with a hint of worry on his brows.
Just as parents are always afraid that their children will learn badly, Clark believes that he is the older brother and has the responsibility to prevent the younger brother from losing his innate goodness and becoming cold or even evil in the process of coming into contact with the world.
Especially after discovering that David has a power far above ordinary people.
Clark had been pondering this question last night, how David could pull back from the brink of a near-fall into darkness.
"Casually beating people into vegetative people, with no burden in their hearts, is no longer a general tendency to deteriorate."
Clark thinks so.
He felt that his brother's thoughts and cognition were already on the edge of a precipice.
One more step is the beginning of the Fall, putting oneself above others at will.
Finding that Clark is desperate to find an angle to become his life coach, David doesn't know what to say.
[Worries from Clark +6, +5, +7......]
However, since yesterday, the speed at which Clark has given him emotional points has suddenly skyrocketed, and it seems that he has been thinking about him since yesterday.
"At this rate, we may soon be able to complete the complete integration and open the next template."
I didn't expect there to be a windfall. David was in a good mood.
I don't know what the next template will be, it will be a little weaker, comparable to the Thanos template, or stronger?
Step into the building.
"They all looked at us."
From time to time, the students in the hallway looked at the group with curious and surprised eyes, and Pete whispered narcissistically.
"Did they finally find out that being short didn't stop me from being attractive?"
"Save it, Pete."
Chloe, who was buried in a newspaper, looked up.
"They're obviously looking at Clark and David, more of David."
She was also a little puzzled why so many people were watching the two.
David doesn't have the super hearing of Clark, but his extraordinary senses are not difficult for him to know the reason for things from other people's whispers.
"As the townspeople of this town often say, Smaller, a town not much bigger than a bottle cap, will soon spread the word."
For example, someone saw a few football varsity players in the town's high school who had always been the most beautiful in the bar, and wanted to bully people, but they were repaired.
Clarke's face flashed with helplessness.
He heard it too.
The elder brother who had a son was bullied on the ground, and the younger brother bumped into it and neatly put down a few school bullies.
"Lana seems to be coming at you, Clark."
Pete slapped his good brother Clark with his arm: "Quickly put away your face full of why I'm a masturbator." β
Is it so obvious that you are manifesting?
Seeing the beautiful and gentle man with black hair coming over at the end of the corridor, Clark coughed, and secretly straightened his back.
Just had a big fight with her boyfriend, Lana looked sad and hurriedly walked over to apologize to Clark, her voice soft and hoarse after crying.
"I'm sorry, Clark.
I didn't know Whitney was so naΓ―ve that I was going to trouble you just because I had a couple of words with you. β
When she learned about the rumors on campus, she immediately went to Whitney for verification, hoping to get an answer from her boyfriend that it was a rumor.
But Whitney, who felt greatly embarrassed, angrily admitted, slightly accusatory, that it was Lana who showed a different attitude towards Clark, and he went to Clark when he was angry.
"I'm fine, Lana."
Clark laughed, "Don't blame Whitney. β
"I can't accept that he deceived me, obviously he took the initiative to trouble you and lost the necklace I gave him."
Speaking of this, Lana was even more sad, her eyes were red, and her tone was low: "But I said that someone in the bar was drunk and provoked." β
"I think I have to revisit my relationship with Whitney."
Looking at Lana's sad and complaining appearance, Clark, who had never encountered this situation, scratched the back of his head, and didn't know how to comfort him, so he would just tell Lana not to cry back and forth.
"I bumped into Whitney at a bar, maybe he was drunk and acting so irrationally."
Clark, do you want to hear what you're talking about? As long as the crush is in a better mood, even if it is okay to excuse the rival?
David shook his head secretly, feeling that he was hopeless.
Even without Kryptonite, it is impossible for Clark to catch up with this cheerleader according to his current personality.
"David."
Clark gave David a sneaky look, urging him to take out the meteorite necklace that meant a lot to Lana and return it to her, as he had promised yesterday.
The necklace is lost, and maybe Lana will no longer be sad.
"David, I'm sorry."
Thinking of something, Lana wiped her tears and turned to David seriously.
"Because of me, Whitney has caused you trouble."
"It's fine."
He didn't think it was a bother, and Davy said in a flat tone, pulling the necklace out of his trouser pocket and handing it to her.
"Here's your necklace, Clark picked it up that day, let me put it away."
Clark was eager to hand over the necklace to Lana.
But he felt that if he didn't want to take out the necklace and perform a flat fall on the spot at the same time, lying on the ground for a long time and not getting up, and making a fool of himself again, it was better to let David hand it over.
"My necklace."
Taking the necklace, Lana had a surprise in her eyes and a smile on her tear-stained face.
"Thank you, David...... And Clark. β
She seems to have misunderstood something.
If Clark picked it up, why didn't he give it back to her with his own hands.
Lana thinks it's David trying to match her with her brother Clark.
Seeing that David had a flat attitude towards himself, unlike the rest of the people on campus, he looked away after handing in the necklace, leaving room for Clark to talk to her.
For some reason, she was inexplicably driven to secretly look at David twice.
Usually like Clark, who doesn't participate in any sports, and occasionally sees a tall but not exploding muscle sitting in the corner of the campus with a book in his hand, how did he beat Whitney and a few of his teammates?
Next to him, Clark, who had been watching the goddess tightly and not letting go of a smile, looked at Lana, and then at his brother.
I sighed in my heart, why did I have a bad premonition in my heart.
Pedal!
Around the corner of the hallway, there was a sudden sound of footsteps.
"Lana!"
Angry and angry, Whitney regretted it again, realizing that he shouldn't have that attitude, and his face was nervous and wanted to catch up with his girlfriend.
"David, Clark, I'll go first."
Lana didn't want to see him at this time, her face changed, she said hello to Chloe and Pete again, and hurriedly turned to leave.
Whitney, who caught up, passed by and saw David, his face flashed unnaturally, and he left with shame and anger in his eyes.
David didn't care.
Next to the corner of a staircase.
A figure stared indifferently at all of this, like the gaze of some cold-blooded creature, and swirled between David and Clark.
