Chapter Twenty-Nine: In America, the rich are the masters!
This laboratory, built specifically for Kryptonians, is a five-step post, ten-step and a sentry, and is full of surveillance and defensive attack weapons everywhere.
General Adam told several people, "There was a serious accident in the lab that caused General Ryan to disappear in the Phantom Zone.
Since then, everyone who enters the lab has to enter their own biometric information to ensure that there are no accidents. β
Barry leaned over to Ian and whispered, "It's over, our identities are going to be revealed." β
Steve didn't expect the lab to be so tightly guarded.
And the old men in the White House only care about the results, not the specific rules, so the steel bones have not found relevant records.
Ian didn't panic at all, just pushed Thomas and said, "You follow Steve, don't say anything, just nod your head and answer my words." β
Ian was in the middle of the battle and gave everyone a great deal of courage to calm down.
Steve stepped forward and complimented General Adam and said, "You did a good job, I'm glad to see that a good soldier has not been crushed by a secret project and still retains the good qualities of a warrior." β
For a long time, Steve was pushed out by the government as a façade for a pure human hero, and the scene came casually without any pause.
Then there was Thomas, who recorded the information as the soldier asked, and soon his real information appeared on the screen.
"Thomas Wayne?"
General Adam was instantly alert, and the guards around him also raised their guns.
Thomas smells danger, but controls his instincts and waits for Ian to step up.
"Good!"
Ian stood up generously and said to General Adam, "Mr. Wayne sees that the pace of invasion of Paradise Island and Atlantis is getting faster and faster, and in order to protect the safety of the homeland, he is determined to support Steve to form a superhuman army. β
"Cyborg's former transhuman advisor to the president has now joined the Wayne Group, and Mr. Barry Allen is the first member of this transhuman legion."
Although this timeline of Thomas after the death of his son, he was directly disheartened and did not care about the group.
But he is still one of the few people who stand at the top of the social pyramid of America.
Adam didn't doubt his identity at all, but was even more sure that as long as he followed Steve, even if the Kryptonian project disappeared, he wouldn't be sent to sit on the cold bench.
"Mr. Wayne is coming, why don't you give us advance notice, we can get ready."
In America, the rich are the masters, and no matter how powerful the army is, it is just a care home for a trust like the Wayne Group.
What's more, Adam is not a real power person, and of course he will not throw his face at Thomas.
Ian waved his hand and said in a solemn manner: "Mr. Wayne heard General Steve talk about this laboratory, and deliberately pretended to be an ordinary person to see how your guards are doing. General Adam was such a good soldier. β
"General Steve?" Adam was stunned for a while, and Steve, despite his seniority, was still only a colonel for various reasons.
Ian waved his hand and said casually, "Not yet, but General Steve will be promoted soon, is there any problem?" β
General Adam shook his head, thinking that he was worthy of everyone in the Wayne Group, and a general said that he would push it up, which was really arrogant.
"Come with me, and I'll introduce you to technology from Krypton."
Adam saw a bright future and enthusiastically introduced the results of the laboratory in the past 30 years.
Barry and Cyborg followed behind the two of them, unable to insert a word.
Thomas deliberately slowed down, walked side by side with Ian, and whispered to him, "I didn't expect you to be so skilled at using the system. The ability to coax people is so good, you should run for president. β
"I still know very little, but I can't be the president of the United States."
Ignoring Thomas's ridicule, Ian replied, "Although the system is only a tool, whoever can use it is its master." However, whether or not you can use the system also depends on your own strength. If it weren't for Steve, a World War II veteran, and you, the CEO of a multinational financial conglomerate, this General Adam wouldn't have been so enthusiastic about me. β
"It turns out that my identity as the CEO of Wayne Group is so useful, why didn't I know before?"
Thomas used to be a good doctor and didn't care about any of these things.
After the death of his son, he was even more bent on discovering himself by executing criminals, and naturally he did not have the opportunity to experience the world of Bourgeois.
Barry, who was not interested in the weapons developed in the lab, slipped up to Ian and said to him, "You were so strong and eloquent that you shook the general so much that he couldn't say a word. β
Ian waved his hand and said with a smile: "How can I have such a ability, I have to thank our Wayne Group boss." It was his identity that gave my words the power to overwhelm this general. β
Thomas showed a rare smile and said, "If you want, you can stay in the Wayne Group and take care of the Wayne family's assets for me!" β
Barry's mouth was wide open, although he didn't know how much money the Wayne family had, but most of the technology products around him had the Wayne Group logo.
"Okay!"
Ian agreed and replied to Thomas with a smile: "As long as you don't mind the continued existence of the world where Bruce died, of course I don't care." β
Thomas, of course, knew that Ian had turned down his invitation.
But instead of being angry, he is happy, which shows that Ian is determined to change the world.
And that's exactly what Thomas was looking forward to.
A world that exists without Bruce doesn't mean anything to him.
Soon Adam led the group through the weapons area, to a huge three-meter-high cabin, and pressed the button.
The cloudy fluid gradually cleared, and a huge monster with gray skin and huge bone spurs protruding from its joints appeared in front of everyone.
"Flashpoint World has a Day of Doom?"
Ian immediately recognized this "Kryptonian killer", his eyes widened, and his jaw was about to drop.
He did not expect to see such a monster here, and immediately asked General Adam, "Where did you find this monster?" β
General Adam replied: "67 years ago, the government dug up the body of this monster from the desert. Scientists have exhausted all methods and have not been able to cut any tissue for study.
It wasn't until 30 years ago, when the Kryptonians' spaceship crashed in the center of the metropolis, that we discovered that the monster was a Kryptonian product.
General Ryan used kryptonite to suck the cells of Doom Sun and inject them into the human soldiers, causing a riot among the soldiers. General Ryan stopped him, but he was locked in the Phantom Zone and was not heard from. β
Ian breathed a sigh of relief, cheering in his heart at the news that Doom Day was dead.
Otherwise, he really doesn't know if the rib superhero can deal with this monster.
Out of caution, Ian asked again, "Are you sure this thing is really dead?" β
"Of course, we didn't even use the energy of the Kryptonian spaceship to make this thing move."
General Adam shook his head regretfully.
Ian thought to himself, it's a good thing this thing can't wake up, otherwise everyone would have finished playing.
"Alright, let's go see the Kryptonians!"
Ian quickly escaped from this obscure thing, not wanting to linger in front of the Doom Day corpse for a second.
