Chapter 31 Announcements
The first morning of the second week of school began with the sound of yawns, Professor Snape's Potions homework was clearly bothering more than one or two people, and last night's Gryffindor common room was packed with second-year students who had been working all night to catch up on their homework, after all, no one wanted to eat Snape's confinement in the first month of school.
Before Harry and Ron yawned back to their dorm room last night, Neville was crouching by the fireplace with a sad face to deal with the five-foot-long paper, not even noticing that his robe was on fire in the fireplace, thanks to a hard bite from his ear from being roasted.
Anyway, Neville probably hadn't slept much all night, so it took Seamus and Dean about ten minutes to wake him up this morning, and, as he descended the spiral staircase, he rolled straight into the break room in front of a lot of people.
"I'll go talk to Professor Snape, Mr. Longbottom, and tell him to take it step by step."
Neville's grim sight was unbearable even to a stern Professor McGonagall, and in the morning Transfiguration class, Professor McGonagall took a deep breath as she figured out why Neville was wearing a charred robe, two large dark circles under his eyes, and clear bite marks on his ears.
Neville's episode briefly reminds them of an inquisitor at the school, but that luck doesn't always happen.
Oliver Wood doesn't let the cold weather and drizzle slow him down, and his training schedule starts in the first week of his second week and runs at a high rate four times a week ahead of the finals.
"You all know that Slytherin is going to be strong this year!" Wood rode his broomstick and yelled at all the team members who were swaying in the wind, "We're going to have a tough fight in this year's finals, and of course, if we get eliminated by Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw early, I won't say anything!" ”
"Please, is there anyone who can calm Oliver down!"
Katie Bell, who is the same level as the Weasley twins, nearly slipped off her broomstick to avoid a Bludger from George, and she broke down and yelled, "My clothes are soaked, and besides, I'm not feeling well these days!" ”
"Maybe you can ask Harry for a favor, Katie," George said with a grin as he swiped over her head, "You can ask Harry to release the servants in his secret room, I guess Wood will feel a little easier just by turning Flint and Malfoy to stone!" ”
George's words caused a burst of laughter, and Harry had to echo the laughter.
"Harry, Harry!"
Ron hurried from the castle to the stadium, he had been playing wizarding chess with Seamus in the common room, but the news that Neville had brought in prevented him from leisurely.
"What's the matter, Ron!"
Under Wood's cannibalistic gaze, Harry flew to the edge of the playground with the Halo 2000 in control, and when he saw Ron's pale face, he immediately realized that something bad had happened again.
"Go to the foyer, Harry, right now!"
Ron dragged Harry and ran towards the castle, leaving him without even time to ask for leave, and the rest of the team mistakenly thought that there had been another attack, and one after another came down and ran after him to the castle, and in the end, Wood was left alone in the sky...
By the time everyone had reached the foyer, there had been a large crowd of people whispering to the newly posted announcement on the bulletin board.
Seeing Harry arrive, the crowd automatically parted from the middle, Hufflepuff's Ernie and Susan Bones looked at him with an incomprehensible glint in their eyes, Percy's expression was serious, and Ginny, who was standing behind Percy, clutched her chest tightly, her face was very pale.
"It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you, Weasley, isn't it?"
Standing at the front was Draco Malfoy, his two loyal henchmen squeezing out the best position for him, and he smiled viciously when he saw Harry and Ron, all dressed in wet and blue faces, arrive,
"You only have this one chance in your life to have the money to change your wand, do you want to give it up?"
"Fuck off, Malfoy, I don't have to worry about anything!" Ron said unceremoniously.
Perhaps seeing that the Gryffindors were all here, and that they were not numerically advantageous, Malfoy really commanded Crabbe and Goyle to dodge to the side and look at Harry with bad intentions, which made Harry finally see what was causing such a big commotion.
The bulletin board was posted with a new public list large enough to cover all other auctioned second-hand spell books, school rules that Filch regularly reminded of, a strip for exchanging chocolate frog images, lost and found, and a large signature in red ink underneath the bulletin.
To all Hogwarts students and students:
In view of the fact that the attack is still unresolved and the safety of the lives and property of all teachers and students cannot be effectively guaranteed, with the approval of Principal Albus Dumbledore and Vice President McGonagall Minerva, young wizards who know any clues about the attack in the back room are encouraged to provide relevant information to the Board of Trustees' Special Investigator
If the information is found to be true and valid, a cash prize of 200 Galleon will be awarded by the School Council.
Amosta Blaine
Harry's face turned pale, and it was as if a thousand Cornish elves were screaming in his ears.
"That's what the school board's highly-anticipated investigators do, huh?" Fred lowered his voice, mocking with anger, "Encouraging everyone to report each other is really clever!" ”
Ginny looked like she was going to cry at any moment, and Neville's whispered reminder made Harry's heart sink to the bottom, and Venus was rising in front of him.
"Filch went to the third floor as soon as he saw the announcement, Harry, you have to be careful..."
Harry didn't bother to ask Neville what he meant by carefulness, and he was almost certain of what Filch would say when he went to the Investigator, Mrs. Loris was the first to be attacked this school year, and most unfortunately, Harry was the first to show up at the scene of the crime, which led Filch to believe that it was the three of them who had turned his precious pet to stone.
"Let's talk to him, Harry." Ron said worriedly in his ear.
Harry understood what Ron meant, and he wanted him to talk to Mr. Bryan first, before most of the young wizards in the castle reported him.
Hermione had suggested the same thing in the school hospital last night, but Harry had refused last night, for many reasons, for example, he was afraid that if he told someone that before every attack, he could hear a weird, terrifying voice arguing for murder, and he would be seen as crazy.
For example, he didn't want to see the poor elf named Dobby interrogated and punished for his confession.
But what else could he have to say, and how could he justify his innocence?
Moreover, instead of telling Headmaster Dumbledore what he was hiding, he went to an inquisitor who didn't know much about it, which in itself made Harry feel that something was not quite right.
Harry staggered out of the foyer and headed for his dorm, even though Malfoy laughed and told Professor Sprout that she would get a fresh manure in a short time.
Behind him, Fred and George glanced at each other with a tacit understanding, and they both saw the same thoughts in each other's eyes...
