Chapter Seventy-Nine: Riddle and Voldemort
Tooth Tooth lay behind the closed door and pulled the door desperately with his two front paws, his sobs full of sadness, as if he understood that the owner of the house was gone, and it was still unknown whether he would be able to return.
"Professor Blaine!"
Feeling suffocated, Harry lifted his invisibility cloak, gasping for breath, trying to speak several times, but not knowing how to open his mouth.
"Professor, does the Ministry of Magic really want Hagrid to be imprisoned in Azkaban, but Hagrid is innocent... I mean, what proof do they have that Hagrid is the heir of Slytherin! ”
Hermione looked at Professor Bryan, who was looking at Harry's invisibility cloak, and cried.
"The adult world is complicated sometimes, Miss Granger, and dealing with people is also very complicated—"
Amosta walked over to the stool and sat down, he rubbed his brow wearily and said,
"That's why after I graduated, I lived in isolation, cut off contact with my former classmates, and chose to live a relatively simple life."
Amosta could see the trepidation in the hearts of the three little ones, and perhaps even Harry himself didn't realize how overwhelmed the expressions on Dumbledore's faces were after Lucius had kicked him out of Hogwarts.
Perhaps, Dumbledore didn't deal with them much on weekdays, but for more than half a century, 'Hogwarts' and 'Dumbledore' were almost two terms bound together, and once Hogwarts lost its headmaster, everyone in this school would inevitably have a sense of collapse in their hearts.
However, for Amosta himself, it was a very good opportunity.
"Well, you three may owe me an explanation--"
Amosta's calm tone made Harry and Hermione, as well as Ron who had lost his loved one, suddenly feel that the air was not so viscous, and the three of them looked at each other, and finally, Harry took a deep breath and told the whole story of the strange diary at a very fast pace.
"As soon as we found out that something had happened to Ginny, Hermione went to the library and, based on your hint and the information we had, found out that the monster in the Chamber of Secrets was most likely a basilisk... After that, we came to Hagrid before everyone else, to find out the truth about the series of events that happened fifty years ago—"
"Tom Riddle's diary can take you back in time and show you what you recorded in a hands-on way, right..."
Amosta closed his eyes in contemplation, having read his lost memories, remembering the detailed memories of the Crown Horcrux that destroyed Voldemort in his fifth grade, he almost immediately confirmed that the notebook was a new Horcrux.
"Unbelievable... stupidity--"
Amosta muttered in a voice that could only be heard by himself.
What a foolish act to split the whole soul many times as an anchor, just to let the mortal body perpetuate the sea of the world, Amosta has experienced the rotation of the world, he is probably the only person in this world who has 'died' but is alive again, life and death are like a dream in his eyes, and Voldemort's attachment to 'life' is incomprehensible to him.
Still, there was something about the diary that had been in Harry's hand that Amosta found incredible.
Amosta had seen Horcruxes and destroyed Voldemort's Horcruxes with his own hands, but Amosta's ability to actively deceive and misguide a person with the power of words was surprising to the fact that this diary, which had been in Harry's possession for a short time, why would this thing have such a high level of 'activity'?
"There's one thing you don't think you might know--"
Amosta opened his eyes, looked at the three of them nervously, and said in a calm tone,
"Tom Riddle..., that's the name Voldemort used when he attended this school, or rather, that's what Voldemort was supposed to be."
Bang!
Amosta whispered the news like a thunderbolt to the three in front of them, Ron knocked down the kettle on the stove with a soft foot, Hermione screamed, and Harry looked like a dead face.
"So to speak!"
Harry didn't have time to care where Teacher Bryan had learned about this, and he forced himself to resist the nausea and dizziness he had felt when he had been in close contact with Voldemort's dark magic creation, and asked,
"It's Voldemort... It's always been him, he opened the secret room fifty years ago, and he wronged Hagrid! ”
Professor Blaine was the only wizard Ron had ever seen who could say the word 'Voldemort' in such a calm tone, and he would have been extremely surprised if it had been normal, but now, he was filled with despair.
Before knowing the news, he still imagined in his heart that as long as they found the secret room in time, then Ginny might still be saved, but now, no matter how optimistic Ron was, he didn't dare to imagine that his sister was still safe and sound!
"Professor Blaine!"
Hermione was dripping with sweat on her forehead, which meant that she was thinking at full speed with her clever little head.
"If we explain all this to the Ministry of Magic, is it Hagrid and Headmaster Dumbledore--"
"If the notebook is still intact in your possession, perhaps the Ministry of Magic may accept our claims, Miss Granger,"
Amosta understood Hermione's intentions, but his reply was disappointing,
"But now, we don't have any evidence that this diary ever existed, or the incredible means it possessed, and the Ministry of Magic wouldn't easily believe the claims of the three minor wizards."
Professor Blaine's statement made Harry extremely remorseful, obviously Ron had warned him that the diary of unknown history was very dangerous, and Hermione had told him that he should hand it over, but he insisted on keeping this diary with him, and this almost directly led to the misfortune of Ron's sister.
Amosta wasn't talking, he was meditating on his own.
From Harry's description, Amosta deduced that the diary was only a vehicle for Voldemort's thoughts, and that it was incapable of any action in itself, that is, all the attacks in the first half of the semester were made by the diary by the hand of a student, and from the current situation, this student was probably Ginny Weasley.
But how did Ginny Weasley get this Voldemort Horcrux?
Could it be that he accidentally found Voldemort's relics hidden in the castle in the castle just like he did back then?
There is also the question of whether Ginny Weasley is still alive now.
According to Amosta, Voldemort's highly active Horcrux is unlikely to kill Ginny Weasley directly, as it would be too 'wasteful'.
Amosta understands Horcruxes, which have two functions, the first is to use itself as an anchor point to forcibly nail the broken soul to the world when the 'main body' is mortally damaged, so as to avoid the death of the Horcrux maker.
Second, the Horcrux has the function of resurrecting the subject, and the means to exert this effect is to devour the life force of the person who touches the Horcrux, which Amosta deeply understands.
Absorbing life force is not an overnight process, judging from Amosta's vague reflection of Ginny Weasley these days, this girl's life has not yet reached the stage of a candle in the wind, that is to say, Voldemort's Horcrux wants to completely devour Ginny's life force in a few hours, it is probably not a simple matter.
But if the sun rises tomorrow, Ginny's life and death will really be difficult to say.
