Chapter Eighty-Six: The Chamber of Secrets (Part II)

Dumbledore and Amosta had come to an agreement that they were going to explore the giant hole in Slytherin's face, but they were at odds about Harry's whereabouts.

Dumbledore seemed to think that it would not be something simple for Salazar Slytherin, one of the great Creation Four, to be guarded by a basilisk, that there might be unimaginable dangers in the cave, and that Harry was just a minor wizard who was not yet capable of dealing with unknown dangers.

"No one is born to take everything in stride, Headmaster Dumbledore,"

Amosta glanced at Harry, who was a little depressed, and said meaningfully,

"If we want young people to grow up as quickly as possible, we must give them more opportunities to experience - "

Eventually, Headmaster Dumbledore followed Amosta's reasonable advice.

"You have to promise me,"

Dumbledore looked at Harry solemnly and said, "If you are in danger later, Professor Bryan and I gave you instructions to escape, will you follow our orders?" ”

"I promise, Headmaster Dumbledore!"

Although Dumbledore's statement hurt Harry's self-esteem a little, the thought of being able to go on an unknown adventure with two powerful wizards made Harry's mood fly as if he were flying, and he didn't believe that Headmaster Dumbledore and Professor Bryan were in front of him, and there was any danger that could hurt his life.

"Even if ten Voldemort show up together, they can't do it!"

When Dumbledore and Amosta stepped onto the stairs, Harry thought to himself, although it must be late in the hour, and although he had already experienced a legendary battle tonight, Harry's spirits were still extremely high, but his excitement only lasted until the moment he stepped through the stairs into the hole.

The passage at the entrance of the cave was not as winding and long as they had imagined, but the bones of various animals on the ground were more than twice as long as the stone tunnel after coming down from the pipe, and when you stepped down, you could clearly hear the sound of all kinds of weathered bones shattering into slag.

The further he went, the smell of blood in the air grew stronger, and the smell of blood came from the bones on the ground, and Harry had seen many rats with blood-stained gray scalps attached to their skulls, and piles of cradled spiders' legs.

"Ahhh

For some reason, Dumbledore let out a heavy sigh, but he only shook his head at the probing gaze of Amosta, but said nothing.

The three of them walked around a corner and continued for less than half a mile along a path cleared by the basilisk's trajectory, and then the scene inside the tunnel gradually changed.

Thirty feet apart golden torches were distributed on the walls of the tunnel to the left and right, and the steady heat emitted burned the damp stone walls and dried the ground.

The air was fresh, there were no bones on the ground, and even the dust and cobwebs were not visible, and Harry even felt that it was comparable to the corridors of the castle maintained by Filch.

"Tsk--"

Amosta stood in front of a torch and stared at the flickering flames, exclaiming, "The Gublay Immortal Fire... Extravagantly, Slytherin..."

Harry finally breathed a sigh of relief from the sea of bones, and then heard Professor Blaine's admiration with a little awe, and he looked at Dumbledore for an explanation.

"The Flame of Gubrai is the Eternal Flame, very precious because it will never be extinguished--"

Dumbledore looked at the unintelligible number of torches with admiration and said gently, "It takes a lot of magic to make this kind of immortal fire, and as far as I know, no one has been able to make such a number of eternal flames in one go. ”

Harry gasped, understanding the value of the bronze torches, but at the same time, he was a little unhappy, for he could hear a little compliment to Slytherin in the tones of Headmaster Dumbledore and Professor Blaine.

As the founder of the one that Harry hated the most out of the four houses, and at the same time, the Chamber of Secrets left behind had caused so much trouble to himself this year, it was impossible for Harry to have much affection for Salazar Slytherin.

"Maybe Gryffindor is going to be even better--" Harry muttered quietly.

The firelight stained Dumbledore's silver eyebrows and beard, and he laughed at Harry's grumbling, extinguished his wand's fluorescence, and stood in front of everyone and walked forward.

The tunnel grew wider and wider, and at the end of the line of sight, there was a steady and bright light, and Amosta, with a calm expression, clenched his wand and strode up.

As they get closer, the deepest secret in this secret chamber buried deep underground is finally revealed!

This is a huge karst cave, the area is about the size of three or four Quidditch pitches, the top of the cave is more than three hundred feet high, and among the stalactite forests, there are many rough and huge round stone pillars that suddenly protrude out, those stone pillars arranged in a certain order are similar in color to Hogwarts Castle, as if they should be the load-bearing pillars supporting the whole castle!

"It's crazy..."

The wind howls in the air, and the mysterious sound is like history singing the praises of time.

Amosta looked around the walls of the massive cavern, and the living torches of the Gubrai placed at intervals let out a shocked whisper, the torches that emitted a constant light that reflected the entire cave as bright as day, and the powerful magical magnetic field radiating from it resisted all positioning spells.

"It's hard to imagine how powerful the magic of Slytherin himself is to make him so profligate... It's no wonder that basilisk can survive for thousands of years, and in such a magical environment, I'm afraid that any creature can have a life that is thirty or fifty years longer than it should be..."

Harry, who lacked a real understanding of the difficulty of making the Gublai Immortal Fire, couldn't comprehend Professor Blaine's shock, but he was speechless by the desolation and magnificence that overflowed the cavern in front of him, which was filled with strange stone cones and stalactites.

"Yes, great Slytherin--"

Dumbledore was also surprised by the scene in front of him, and let out a similar emotion,

"I'm more curious, though, about Salazar Slytherin's purpose in building this vault."

Amosta withdrew his gaze and nodded, he turned to look at Harry, who was intoxicated and magical, and issued a warning,

"Now it seems that the secret room within this secret room is probably going to be shocking, Potter, remember to be vigilant."

Harry nodded his head, but his curious gaze still wandered around.

He looked at the deep ravines in the undulating ground, staring at the dark stone cones, and suddenly, Harry's expression was stunned, his eyes widened and he looked in a certain direction, and when he confirmed what he saw, Harry's face turned white and he screamed in surprise,

"Headmaster Dumbledore, Professor Blaine, there's a man there!"
