Chapter 91: The End

Amosta was awakened by a sharp knock on the door, rubbed his sour eyes, and looked out the window, where he saw that the harsh sun was hanging high in the sky, the floor of the office was sprinkled with golden sunlight, and the air was filled with fine dust.

He straightened up his image a little and muttered disgruntled as he walked to the door.

"Professor Blaine, everything is clear, it's Lucius Malfoy, Dobby is free, that diary is Lucius put in Ginny's bag, Headmaster Dumbledore has been reappointed by the school board, Lucius has been kicked out of the school board!"

Looking at the energetic and incoherent Harry outside the door, Amosta rubbed the messy hair on the top of his head, and sighed, and had to sigh at the exuberant energy of these little wizards.

"That's a great joy for all, Potter, is Hagrid back--"

Amosta blinked sleepily and said indifferently.

Having received a 'political education' of love and courage in Dumbledore's office early in the morning, Harry, who was so effective that he wanted to fight the basilisk again, froze because he noticed that Professor Bryan's tone did not seem to be particularly happy.

"The Ministry of Magic has released Hagrid, Professor Blaine, and they are watching the basilisk in the courtyard, and Headmaster Dumbledore asked me to tell you that the Minister wants to speak with you personally."

Harry said with Ai Ai.

Amosta let out a helpless groan, he closed his eyes and rubbed his brows,

"Got it, you go and get back to your life first, Potter, I'll have to take care of myself first, this is not a good look for a meeting with a big man like the minister."

Harry left, his eyes still sparkling with puzzlement, why Professor Bryan had put an end to the last vestiges of the year hanging over the heads of the young wizards, but he didn't seem to be in high spirits.

........

It was about lunch, but the school hall was empty, no one was paying attention to the delicious food on the table, and almost everyone in the school was crowded into the courtyard, and even the trees and the roofs of the corridors were full of young wizards watching the fun.

When Amosta appeared in the doorway, the sudden burst of applause and cheers almost toppled the entire castle, and the people looked at Amosta with awe-struck expressions, as if they were watching a rising star!

Grunt...

With saliva secreted from his mouth, Amosta swallowed the bread that had been shoved into his mouth from the long table in the auditorium, his brow raised.

"Come here, Amosta!"

Professor McGonagall in the center of the crowd stood on tiptoe and waved her arms, calling out to Amosta, who was standing on the steps, her eyes sparkling and she blew her nose with emotion.

The crowd split in half, and Amosta saw Dumbledore and the professors at the school standing in front of a cage containing the basilisk that Dumbledore had suppressed himself, and as he walked through the crowd, the Weasley twin brothers shouted thanks to him,

"You saved Ginny and Ron, Professor, and we can't thank you enough!"

Truth be told, Fred and George had never spoken to anyone so seriously.

Amosta smiled and nodded at the twins, and he strode past the crowd towards Dumbledore, who was smiling and his hands folded on his stomach.

"What did you tell everyone?"

"Just telling the truth, Amosta."

Dumbledore also answered Amosta's question with a look in his eyes.

Cornelius Fudge was still dressed in the odd outfit he had worn last night, but his attitude towards Amosta was a far cry from the previous night, and thirty feet away, he laughed and strode to meet him, and when he approached, he put his arm around him affectionately.

"Looks like we've got another young man of extraordinary strength, right?"

Fudge winked playfully at Amosta as if they were close friends, when in fact it was only the second time they had met, and the first time they had met without saying a word.

"None of this would have been possible without the wise decision of the Ministry of Magic, Mr. Minister, after all, the School Board followed the advice of the Ministry of Magic and sent me back to Hogwarts to deal with the Chamber of Secrets incident--"

"Oh, ahem, of course... Ah, no, I mean, it's ultimately your credit, Amosta! ”

The smile on Fudge's chubby face stiffened for a moment, but then, the glitter in his eyes was not eager, and he patted Amosta on the shoulder, smiling brightly like a blooming chrysanthemum,

"The Ministry of Magic has only played a minor role!"

"Tsk, dirty politics--"

In the crowd that gradually quieted down, George Weasley glared at Cornelius Fudge with disdain and muttered something quietly, but Percy, who was standing in front of him, glared at him fiercely and ordered him to shut up, and then, looking at Professor Blaine and Minister Fudge who were talking with reverence, pricked up his ears and desperately studied the 'art of politics'!

"Didn't say that, Amosta!"

Fudge laughed as if someone had cast a happy spell,

"A Merlin Sir Regiment... The second-class medal is worthy of your credit, you saved the lives of several young wizards, put an end to the threat that has hung over the heads of Muggle-born children for thousands of years, and also donated this incomparably precious land basilisk to the Ministry of Magic, the Ministry will not have any opinion on this, the procedure can be simplified, I will arrange for someone to send the badge tomorrow... Ahem,"

Fudge lowered his voice slightly, and said in a volume that only Amosta could hear,

"As long as you mention it in the following interviews..."

Noticing the strangeness of Amosta's expression, Fudge hurriedly explained,

"Don't worry, lad, I'll take care of it in advance... Oh, I'm so glad that nasty woman Rita Skeeter was blocked by me, and she didn't know where she got the news and already knew what was going on at school! ”

Donation?

Amosta glanced at Dumbledore vaguely, but didn't get any information from Dumbledore's smiling eyes.

"I'll go talk to Rufus if you want,"

Fudge's arm was glued to Amosta's, and he wouldn't take it down anyway,

"I think you'll be a very good Auror, Amosta, you can be Rufus's right-hand man..., oh, I'll tell you a secret, Rufus is not young, he may not be able to do it for long, if you excel in the position of Auror, maybe I can..."

When many of the professors heard Fudge's words, they all secretly showed contempt in their eyes, but because of the occasion, they didn't have much.

"I will seriously consider your suggestion, Mr. Minister--"

Amosta said politely, looking at Hagrid, who was lying on the cage and eager to squeeze in through the gap between the fences, and asked curiously,

"Why don't you look happy to be free, Hagrid?"

"You shouldn't have done such a heavy hand, Professor Bryan!"

Hagrid wiped away her tears and glared back at him 'plaintively', "Look at this poor little fellow, it looks like he's suffered a lot... Also,"

Hagrid looked at Dumbledore again and Fudge somewhat apologetically,

"Can't you really leave this poor little creature to my care... With all due respect, Mr. Minister, since Mr. Scamander's retirement, there aren't many knowledgeable people in the Department of Magical Creatures Management and Control..."
