Chapter 266: Ferry

Amosta took the lead, leading two people and a house-elf fish through the shuttle door, and in an instant, time and space changed, and a very strange scene appeared in front of them.

Although I had heard Kreacher say it before, the real sight I saw with my own eyes brought more power to the soul than words.

They stood on the shore of a large black lake, the surface of which was so vast that they could not even see the opposite shore in the distance, and it was conceivable that there was an underground river at the bottom of the lake that connected it to the sea.

It was a huge hollow inside the mountain, and the cave was so high that even the glow from Amosta's wand was bright enough for them to see the top of the cave.

Far away, as if in the middle of the lake, there was a hazy, green light, reflected in the dead water below, except for the green light and the glow of Amosta's wand, there was a completely thick darkness that could not be dissolved, and this darkness seemed to be denser and thicker than ordinary darkness, and the mere look at it could make people despair.

Kreacher curled up in fear, and Sirius and Remus were speechless for a moment in awe.

Anti-apparition, flight-no-flying, forbidden summoning, magical bans, curses--Amosta's eyes narrowed, staring at the space above the lake, filled with countless types of powerful magic, and her face sank slightly.

Such a massive magical project was not achieved in a day.

It is conceivable how much effort Voldemort spent in order to protect his Horcruxes.

And when Amosta set his gaze on the mirror-like black lake, his eyes narrowed, and his whole body was faintly exuding anger.

It's a yin corpse!

The Yin Corpse is not a terrible thing, and even, Amosta himself has taken the Yin Corpse to teach the young wizards, but.

In just one area of the eyes, Amosta 'saw' hundreds of corpses, judging from the clothing of these corpses, all of them were Muggles, and among these Muggles, there were men, women, old people, children, and even, Amosta saw a baby who was swollen and looked like he was only one or two years old!

And so on to the entire Great Lake, the Muggles who were buried on the surface of the lake and were magically trained into corpses were at least tens of thousands!

Massacre, only the brutal slaughter of Muggles can produce such a large number of corpses, and there is no record or report of this brutal massacre in the wizarding world today, perhaps because it is too inhumane, once it is reported, it will be condemned by the whole world, and even the entire wizarding world will be disheartened, so the Ministry of Magic and the Muggle government have chosen to conceal it at the same time.

"What's wrong with you?"

Both Remus and Sirius asked.

They were not just graduates of Hogwarts, but experienced adult wizards, and they could all sense the thick and indissoluble killing intent that lingered beside Amosta standing staring at the black lake, and this killing intent was so cold that it even made both of them faintly feel the urge to turn around and run away.

"Nothing--"

Amosta exhaled softly, holding her emotions to the bottom of her heart.

"Kreacher, Regulus back then."

Sirius missed his brother, and soon stopped worrying about Amosta's abnormality, he looked down at Kreacher at his feet, his voice was thick nasal, mixed with a trace of irrepressible sadness,

"Back then, where was it?"

"There's an island in the middle of the lake, Master Sirius--"

Kreacher whimpered, not daring to face Regulus's death, covering his big gray eyes and pointing his slender fingers in the direction of the green light,

"Kreacher was there at the time, and saw Young Master Regulus being dragged into the water by the hands of those corpses."

Hearing Kreacher's words, Sirius immediately rushed forward, as if trying to slide down to shore and swim there as before.

"Wait, Sirius!"

Remus grabbed his arm,

"Have you forgotten what Kreacher said, there are Yin corpses in this lake, and there may be quite a few of them!"

"Let go of me, Remus!" Sirius cried out, "I'm going to find Regulus, those Yin Corpses can't stop me!" โ€

Remus wanted to persuade again, but Amosta said lightly,

"He wants to die, why should you stop him?"

Amosta said this, and Sirius fell silent and stopped trying to jump into the lake.

"Do you remember where the ship is, Kreacher?"

Seeing Sirius quiet, Amosta turned his gaze to Kreacher.

"Kreacher remembers over there, Mr. Blaine."

For so many years, Kreacher had been secretly trying to destroy the locket, and every time it failed, it would seduce the sight of Regulus before his death, which he did not want to recall, and when he heard the inquiry, he jumped out of Sirius's side, leaned sideways against the rock wall, and led them to the right-hand side.

A few minutes later, they stopped at another location, but there was nothing here.

"Kreacher has forgotten the exact location of the ship."

Kreacher's voice trembled, and he punished himself by banging his head against the rock wall.

Remus stopped it from harming itself, and as he was about to question Amosta, he saw Amosta pass by Kreacher and hurried forward, eventually stopping thirty feet away from them.

"I think I found it."

Amosta reached out of the one-man tunnel, grabbed something, and struck his fist with the wand in his other hand.

Immediately, a thick green copper chain suddenly emerged from the lake, and quickly stretched to the shore, until it reached Amosta's clenched fist, seeing this, Amosta's outstretched left hand suddenly pulled back, and the copper chain suddenly burst out, it made a loud sound, and quickly pulled a small boat out of the bottom of the lake.

"If it weren't for the prior knowledge of the situation, Amosta,"

Remus hurried over, he stared at Amosta's expressionless face, and said in a strange voice,

"I might have thought you'd been here many times."

"How did you find it?"

Sirius was also expressing his wonders.

"Where there is magic, the concentration of magic will be different from the surrounding environment, as long as the wizard with a slightly better perception should be able to find the clue--"

Amosta looked at the wizard who was leaning against the shore and could only carry two people at most, with a thoughtful expression,

"That's probably the obstacle Voldemort put in order to prevent too many wizards from approaching the locket together."

"Why can't we make two more trips to this boat?"

Sirius wondered.

"I don't think the ship will automatically return once it reaches the island, unless it senses that the person who went to the island is dead and, well, the magic meter. Understood, it's not the weight that is considered, it's the magicโ€”"

No one could understand what Amosta was saying to himself, so Remus and Sirius gave up thinking and waited for him to say what to do next.

Amosta did not hesitate, he took a step forward, and jumped neatly into the center of the boat, and at the moment of landing in the cabin, the boat fell heavily, the waterline grew a full five or six inches upward, and the hull shook violently, and it looked like it was going to capsize at any moment.

"Come back, Amosta!"

The two men on the shore screamed in unison, and they used their hands to catch Amosta, who was standing in the middle of the cabin, and tried to drag him back to the shore, because it was not difficult to guess what would happen if he fell into the water.

But after rocking, the boat eventually stabilized and nothing happened.

Amosta looked at the edge of the boat, and there was only an inch left, and the lake would be submerged into the cabin before it passed the side of the ship, and then at Sirius and Remus on the shore, Amosta made a rough estimate, and suddenly had a count in his mind.

"Kreacher can apparilate to the middle of the lake, you two come up, it won't be too much of a problem."

Actually, the problem still exists.

Sirius and Remus were both adult wizards of normal size, and while their magic didn't put too much of a strain on the ship, their size was a big problem for the cramped cabin.

Amosta took another step to turn Sirius into Lenny, and Remus stepped into the boat with Lenny in his arms, and the boat swayed for a while, just as Amosta said, and then swayed for a while before regaining its calm.

"Let's go--"

With Amosta's calm words, the boat hummed and trembled, and slowly accelerated from its static state to the island in the lake.
