Chapter 313: Destruction
Despite a series of hardships, Harry and Hermione were able to complete the task given to him by Dumbledore, and they eventually brought Peter Pettigrew back to Hogwarts.
Walking out of the Forbidden Forest and into the confines of the campus, Harry and Hermione used the invisibility cloak again, because this time there was a white chrysalis under the invisibility cloak to hold Peter, and their running speed was greatly slowed down, and when they passed Professor Sprout's greenhouse, Harry asked breathlessly,
"Hoh, what if - we don't get back at that point - Dumbledore before he locks the door?"
"I don't want to think about it!"
Hermione said in a broken voice, she looked at her watch,
"Ten minutes left!"
When you don't want to be surprised, accidents happen.
As Harry and Hermione crossed the lawn and approached the path leading to the castle from the school gate, they suddenly noticed that a group of people were hurrying down the path, and Harry's eyes were so wide that his breath was frozen.
"Professor Bryan and the Minister of Magic, the rest of-"
"The woman in black is the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, Lady Amelia Bones, and the one to Fudge's left, Rufus Scrimgeur, the head of the Auror Office, and the people behind are presumably magical strikers. It's all big names from the Ministry of Magic, and they're often featured in the Daily Prophet. They had probably been notified of Sirius' arrest."
Hermione's eyes were so frightened that her teeth chattered,
"They're ahead of us, Harry, we're done."
With the exception of Professor Blaine, the rest of the Ministry of Magic didn't look very good, especially the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge.
Having said that, Harrigan and Hermione still ran towards the castle gate as best they could, but in order to take care of Peter, especially since he could not reveal his whereabouts, their speed could not match that of the officials of the Ministry of Magic.
A hundred feet closer to the castle, Professor Blaine, who had walked in the front, was already standing on the marble staircase in the doorway.
"Wait--"
Amosta hesitated, then suddenly stopped, and turned to block Cornelius Fudge.
"There is a very important thing to confirm with you, as I said earlier, Sirius Black is innocent, and the person who committed the crime more than ten years ago was Peter Pettigrew. The bounty promised by the Ministry of Magic."
Fudge's heart pounded when he heard Amosta say something important, and tonight, he had been frightened enough, and he was afraid that Amosta would give him some 'surprise', but he didn't expect that he heard such a question.
"Bounty-" Fudge's face turned pork-liver-colored, "oh-well, yes-yes, that's true, of course the Ministry of Magic—wait"
Fudge gasped,
"That's all your words, Amosta, I haven't confirmed it yet!"
Amosta shrugged his shoulders senselessly,
"Well, even if I don't mention that, I remember that Greyback and his subordinates were also on the list of bounties offered by the Ministry of Magic, and they all died at my hands, as you saw with your own eyes-"
"You've used a fire--"
Rufus Scrimgeour said with a cold face,
"Amosta Blaine, you should know that this is a violation of many laws, enough to send you to Azkaban."
"Ho, Greyback and his werewolves attacked the young wizards in the castle, and the despised person is the director of the Hogwarts Student Safety Office, and has the right to use any means to fight back in order to protect the lives of the young wizards and the school staff when they are persecuted by such evil creatures."
Faced with Scrimgeour's painless threat, Amosta smiled lazily.
Umbridge and some of the Aurors were ordered by Fudge to stay in Hogsmeade to calm the mood of the populace, and to deal with the reporters of the Daily Prophet who could expect to arrive, and now only Scrimgeour and Bones were accompanying Fudge.
Looking at Amosta Brynn, who stood on the marble steps, bathed in the red glow of the torches, Ms. Bones looked at her.
Seriously, when she first reached Hogsmeade, she was really frightened by the burning fire.
Prior to this, her portrayal of Amosta Blaine was limited to knowing that he had contributed the Basilisk from the Slytherin Chamber to the Ministry of Magic last year, giving Fudge a showlight in front of the populace and the Ministers of Magic, and that Dumbledore had hired him as Director of the Office of Student Safety.
Being able to catch the basilisk was enough to prove that this young man was extraordinary, but she couldn't have imagined that Amosta Bryan was so skillful!
For a moment, Lady Bones, who had judged countless sins, almost thought she had witnessed the rise of a Dark Lord.
But now that this young wizard of extraordinary skill was barricading at the castle gate, haggling with Connelly over the bounties of Greyback and Sirius, Bones was puzzled and at the same time comforted.
A Dark Lord would not negotiate with the Ministry of Magic for some gold, and since he had Dumbledore's trust
"Talk about the bounty later, Amosta!"
Fudge glanced at Filch, who was half exposed behind the castle gate and wanted to get closer but didn't dare to disturb their conversation, and said in annoyance,
"At least until we get things figured out!"
"Okay--"
With a look of regret on his face, Amosta turned around slowly, glancing at a marble pillar not far from his side, the corners of his mouth moving slightly.
"Do you think—"
Harry and Hermione slipped quietly up the stairs by the foyer, and Harry, who had been happy for the rest of his life, muttered,
"Do you think Professor Bryan found us?"
"Needless to say, Harry." Hermione, whose physical strength and energy were consumed to a limit, laboriously lay on the stairs,
"Have you forgotten the last time at the Three Broomsticks Bar. We don't have time to worry about this, we have to hurry back to the school hospital, there are only two minutes left! ”
Finally, they climbed to the end of the hallway where the school hospital was, where the lights were bright, and Madam Pomfrey trotted through the rooms as if she had been wound up, her face full of urgency.
The room they were in was still closed, and Harry and Hermione snuck close to the door and vaguely heard Dumbledore talking,
"If you can't figure out what to do, Miss Granger, I'd suggest you go the way you came from, and good luck."
Immediately after, the door opened, and Dumbledore appeared in front of them.
"Professor Dumbledore!"
Harry wasn't sure if he should lift his invisibility cloak now, because they wouldn't be able to explain it if he was bumped into by Madam Pomfrey, but he wasn't sure if Dumbledore would be able to see him, so Harry could only make a sound to remind them that they were here,
"Professor, we've done it!"
Harry said breathlessly,
"We captured Peter, who was trapped in a white chrysalis, and I thought, he should still be alive."
Dumbledore pricked up his ears to listen to the movement around him, his blue gaze ready to catch Harry's gaze, and he smiled,
"You've done a miracle again, Harry, and Hermione, well done, I think -——, now isn't the time to chat, give Peter to me, you'd better get back to the ward and rest—"
Syllable--
Dumbledore waved his wand, and a stretcher appeared out of thin air, and the white chrysalis automatically floated out from under the invisibility cloak and landed on the stretcher, and when staring at the white chrysalis, Dumbledore's eyes were extremely cold, and the forest exuded from his body was something Harry and Hermione had never seen.
"Professor Dumbledore--"
Hermione cowered her neck in fear,
"How are you going to explain to the Ministry of Magic, I mean, how Peter was caught."
"Don't worry, there's going to be an explanation--"
Dumbledore said mildly.
"One more thing, Professor Dumbledore, the people from the Ministry of Magic have appeared downstairs, and a bunch of them have come, oh, and Professor Blaine"
Dumbledore left with Peter, and when Harry and Hermione slipped into the room, they saw the figures between them dissipating.
"It's not going to be easy—"
Harry ripped off his cloak of invisibility and grinned,
"But I have to say, it's amazing how it feels to travel through time—"
Hermione pursed her lips and laughed, she was saying something, but suddenly, there was a slight crunch in her chest, like the sound of glass shattering.
Hermione looked stunned, lowered her head in disbelief and hurriedly pulled out the hourglass tied to the gold chain, and under the illumination of the light, a crack appeared on the delicate glass hourglass, and under Hermione's dumbfounded gaze, the golden sand inside gradually dissipated like a phantom
