Chapter 383: Watch Turmoil
For a few days after getting the watch, Harry was in a state of distraction.
His keen instinct told him that Professor Blaine might not have given him the watch, as Ron suggested, but just a tradition in the wizarding world, as it had always been done by parents, elders, or guardians, and Professor Blaine was not one of them.
Of course, compared to other professors, Professor Bryan has always taken care of him, but this kind of care will not go beyond the bottom line.
For example, Sirius would warn Snape to his face and fight him in the castle in order to stop targeting him, but Professor Blaine would not do that, in fact, he was the best member of the faculty with Professor Snape.
He, Ron and Hermione had always been the most frequent of the young wizards, but Professor Brian paid more attention to him than Hermione and Ron.
It's not because he's the famous Harry Potter, but because, of course, it's just speculation, and Harry thinks that both he and Professor Bryan are orphans, so, emotionally, there will be some empathy between them.
It must have some other meaning.
The thought led Harry to try to figure out what was so unusual about the watch, and whenever he was free, his eyes would fall on his left wrist, and he would subconsciously fiddle with the dial as if it were magical.
Even in class, he couldn't control himself, and this led to a series of 'accidents'.
For example, in Professor Flitwick's class, when he and Ron were practicing the Happiness Charm face-to-face, his wrist subconsciously deflected because of the light reflected from the crystal dial, and then, after a deafening roar, Ron was hung by him under the large chandelier hanging under the ceiling, and, his face was charred and his mouth was spitting white smoke.
"Oh, I'm fine, really, I'm sure!"
Faced with laughter and Harry's remorseful eyes, Ron, who had been put down, assured Professor Flitwick of all his words, and the accident ended with Harry being deducted five points.
and Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration class, where they were learning how to turn a beautifully teacup into a tortoise, and Harry casually shook his wand and the teapot in front of him exploded with a thud, killing several of the little wizards at the nearby tables.
"Seriously, Potter!"
Professor McGonagall pushed her black-framed eyes, strode over to Harry from the podium, and said sternly
"When did you learn Mr. Finigan's hand, Mr. Potter!"
Well, it's the five that split the Gryffindor again.
"Please, Harry!"
On Thursday afternoon, on the way to the basement of Potions class, Hermione said worriedly,
"Don't worry about why Professor Blaine gave you this watch, if Professor Snape catches him, he won't deduct five points!"
Harry couldn't agree with Hermione's admonition, he should have let it go.
However, just because you don't cause an accident in Potions class doesn't mean you won't be unlucky.
"Professor Snape!"
Harry was concentrating on following the steps in the book to make the Confusion Potion when Malfoy suddenly raised his hand across a row of tables, and Harry looked over to find Malfoy pouting at him with a weird grin.
"What's wrong, Draco?"
Snape, standing under the podium with his eyes encompassing the entire gloomy basement, looked at Draco and asked lazily.
"Potter is trying to interfere with my potions, Professor, and he is stabbing my eyes with the reflection of sunlight from that fake gold watch, and it's keeping me from focusing!"
"You talk nonsense!"
Harry was furious, and he pointed to the tightly closed curtains and shouted,
"There's no sunshine here at all!"
"Oh, yes, yes--"
Snape walked over with a greasy grin, his gaze slowly falling on Harry's gold watch, a glimmer of gloom flashing in his black eyes, but no one noticed it.
"The famous Mr. Savior has got a new gadget to catch the eye, hasn't he?"
Snape glanced contemptuously at the thick potion in Harry's cauldron,
"Before I explain your despicable deeds, can you please tell me what's in your crucible, goblin vomit?"
Harry did not refute Snape's words, because the experience of the past two years had taught Harry that no matter what he said, Snape would not give up humiliating him, but would incur a more severe punishment.
Truth be told, it's been a while since Sirius had been beaten up with Snape in a while, and he'd not been targeted like this in Potions class.
Snape waved his wand violently, and the Confusion Potion that Harry had worked hard for an hour suddenly disappeared, and he glared at Snape with a grim face, and all he got was a flirtatious comment,
"A pile of garbage, 0 points, Potter, before the next class, you need to hand in a separate fifteen-inch paper on the properties of the Psychedelic drug to me."
Hermione gave Harry a wink, and Ron kicked him in the ankle under the table, but Harry couldn't stand Malfoy's gloating smile.
"I didn't stab Malfoy's eyes with Professor Snape!"
"Ten points, Potter--" Snape said coldly, "this is punishment for you lying." ”
The rage was about to ignite Harry's whole being, and the back of his hand burst out of the blue scriptures, and almost all his reason was exhausted, Harry resisted the urge to buckle the hot cauldron to Snape's head, but Snape obviously did not intend to let him go like this, and he slowly leaned down until Harry could smell the complex mixture of scents on Snape's body.
"Maybe you think it's disrespectful to the professor to have a murderer backer in school, Potter, but if I find out that you're showing off your ridiculous piece in this classroom"
"Sirius is not a murderer, he has been proven innocent!"
Harry flew into a rage, he slammed to his feet, and looked Snape in the eye, even if Ron was about to pull his pants off!
Snape's eyes flashed with a terrible light, and he was about to say something, but Hermione suddenly spoke.
"Professor Snape—"
Hermione, who had obviously mustered up the courage to interrupt the imminent frenzy, said in a trembling, glutinous voice,
"Harry--this watch is, Professor Bryan gave it to him as a reward, uh. Last year, it was Harry who discovered the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets—"
At that moment, Harry noticed that the cold glint in Snape's eyes, who was close to him, disappeared, and he was stunned by surprise, but again, this only lasted for a short time, and then Snape straightened up and turned away with a blank face.
For the rest of the day, there was an extremely oppressive atmosphere in the Potions classroom, and Neville mistook the dose of Bad Blood Grass, which caused his cauldron to erupt like a volcano like cement, killing almost half of the students in the classroom.
But this time, Malfoy didn't immediately laugh at Neville, he could see that Professor Snape was probably not in the right mood right now, and Professor Snape was indeed acting unusually, if it was before, Neville was destined to deal with slugs, mucus, and frog brains until the end of the semester, but this time, he didn't say anything, just waved his wand to clear the solidified liquid.
"You'll have to admit it, Harry--"
When the bell rang for the end of class, Harry didn't delay for a second, grabbed his schoolbag and rushed out of the basement with a blushing face, while Ron and Hermione chased after Harry after they hurriedly packed their things.
"If it weren't for you, Hermione--"
Ron said with recklessness,
"Presumably Harry and Neville are now in the jar where Snape stored potions."
"It was Professor Bryan's name that played a role—" Hermione said, staring at Harry's side face,
"He didn't pursue it for the sake of Professor Bryan's face. I know you want to defend Sirius, but Harry shouldn't yell at a professor anyway. ”
"Who are you throwing tantrums at, Harry?"
Sirius came down the stairs across the hallway, smiled and said goodbye to the Ravenclaw sixth-year wizards' gauntlets, and walked over quickly, as he approached the three of them, smelled Harry's scent, and noticed that the three of them were standing at the exit from the basement, Sirius's face faded, and he squinted at Harry, who had an unnatural expression, and there was a hint of anger in his tone
"What, that snot spirit is getting you in trouble again?"
