Chapter 435: The Lair
As the world's premier wizard. There weren't many things that would make Godric Gryffindor and Rowena Ravenclaw jealous, let alone go hand in hand. Facing the deep cave like the throat of hell, the two of them did not hesitate much, jumped up, and decisively did not enter the hole.
And Amosta and Sirius, who were in the world of memory, had no taboos and jumped down.
It was a passage that meandered into the depths of the earth, and the eerie air was so humid that Amosta could smell the salty smell of the seawater, and it stands to reason that they shouldn't have such a specific feeling in their memories, perhaps because of the way this memory is kept, and some of the information they felt was what Ravenclaw and Gryffindor felt back then.
The descent lasted for about two minutes, and the speed of several people was as fast as a meteor volley, and the further down they went, the air lost its coolness and instead had a faint burning sensation, which made Amosta wonder if the passage would lead them directly to the center of the earth.
Hula-
The curvature at the end of the passage managed to slow down the speed of several people, and Gryffindor jumped to the ground with a neat movement, grabbed Ravenclaw's wrist with a strong hand, and helped her up.
They were located in an unremarkable stone chamber, but Amosta could still tell from the carving of the stone walls that the building was built in a roughly certain era. The corridor in front of the stone chamber was emitting a faint red light, which looked like the glow of magic, but considering the scorching heat in the air, it was not difficult to judge what the glow was coming from.
"Crazy guy!"
Gryffindor's gaze wandered for a moment, and he sighed,
"He's built his lair in a magma lake, and there's so much magic shielding to probe, I don't think we'll ever find it if we hadn't been guided."
Ravenclaw put the crown back on her head, her ice-blue pupils piercing through the walls and seeing through many secrets,
"The concentration of magic in the environment is very high, far more than Hogwarts--"
Ravenclaw spoke calmly,
"It's a nice place, if anyone needs to break through the final barrier, they can come here--"
Breaking through the final barrier?
Amosta's eyes condensed slightly, and he glanced at Ravenclaw with a slight suspicion, and then looked around carefully.
If he was really here, Amosta would have found more, but unfortunately, what was displayed in front of him was only a memory, a portrait, and he had no way to perceive it, so he had no choice but to keep Ravenclaw's words firmly in his heart.
"Let's go, Godric, there's something I care about here, I have to see it with my own eyes-"
Ravenclaw didn't linger long in the stone chamber and left.
There was an ominous aura in the silent corridor, which made Sirius feel uneasy, and subconsciously, he actually tugged at Amosta's robe.
"What's wrong?"
Feeling the force of dragging the ground, Amosta asked in dismay.
"Nothing!"
Hearing the inquiry, Sirius suddenly came back to his senses, he quickly spread his hand and shook his head, but after a pause in his thoughts, he couldn't help but ask,
"Aren't you scared, I know we're watching a memory, Amosta, but--"
Sirius said with a frown, staring at the long, red-flushed track.
After thinking for a moment, Amosta figured out what Sirius was trying to express, he pursed his lips and smiled inexplicably,
"You mean the environment? Not. Well, most of the magical ruins of ancient Greece are in this style, and the last few years - I mean before I came back to Hogwarts - I used to explore some tomb ruins, they were all like this. ”
Explore the ruins
Sirius looked at Amosta's back, his expression a little wrong.
Isn't it just digging a grave?
Indeed, as Amosta had expected, the ruins buried deep in the beneath the island of Azkaban were not fundamentally different from those he had explored in the past, and they had walked long and long circuits. In the middle, we passed by a number of rooms that were the same as the original stone room, which were so dark that I couldn't see what the room was like, but Gryffindor and Ravenclaw didn't stop at those rooms, and there was nothing unusual about them.
There are obvious signs of protective magic in some places within the corridor, but these spells have been destroyed. You don't have to think much to guess who did it.
As they advanced, the red light in the corridor became stronger, and although Gryffindor and Ravenclaw looked as usual and walked forward quickly, their foreheads were covered with sweat drops.
The dreary atmosphere was oppressive Sirius couldn't say a word, and Amosta was immersed in thought all the way.
Wizards who split souls -- Horcruxes -- Dementors --
On Avalon Island, the true identity of the phantasmal shadow lurking in Morgan Luffy's body in nine murals has been speculated by Amostado for a year, so when Gryffindor said the name of 'Despicable Helpo' with emotion, Amosta was not too surprised.
However, there was something hidden in the other messages exchanged between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor that were worth pondering.
Thundered!
At that moment, there was a faint rumbling sound in front of the corridor, and Gryffindor and Ravenclaw quickened their pace and walked towards the light.
"Amosta--"
Sirius had already met what he was about to see, and his face was full of words, and he called out with difficulty.
"Crazy--"
Amosta just shook his head, and after saying those two words, he said nothing.
When they stepped out of the door, the world suddenly bloomed red before their eyes. After walking through the long corridor, several people who couldn't adapt to this light for a while subconsciously narrowed their eyes, and after their pupils adjusted, the sight in front of them not only made Amosta and Sirius dumbfounded, but even the two founders of Hogwarts breathed heavily.
It's a huge cavern, much bigger than the one in the Slytherin Chamber where Amosta hides the door that can't be opened!
Everything that came into view was a blinding red, and the air in the field of vision was violently distorted.
Both Gryffindor and Ravenclaw have blessed themselves with magic to resist the heat of their environment.
Behind the door is a small flat stone platform that is not spacious, and the edge of the stone platform is a cliff.
Sirius took the lead and stood on the edge of the cliff, looking down as if he had seen a ghost!
Two miles later, terrifying pillars of fire erupted from the churning magma lake, and the sound of those crimson pillars of fire exploding in the air was like the roar of a fire dragon. And although the 'fireworks' flying in the sky are gorgeous, I am afraid that no one can rejoice when they see this scene!
Under the unparalleled heat, the rocks on the shore of the magma lake are constantly melted, and finally, a huge space with a narrow mouth and a big belly!
"How the hell is it done. Is this still the power of a wizard?"
Sirius's heart trembled, and he said with a face on his shoulder.
Merlin hung Avalon Island in the sky, and Helbo dug a large hole directly in the lair to lure the magma up. Amosta shook his head, what kind of thinking did these wizards of the ancient era have?!
"The concentration of magic here is indeed amazing, Rowena--"
Gryffindor fanned the scorching air with his big rough hands,
"This anomalous concentration of mana comes from the magma lake below, and it looks like we're going to have to make a trip."
"Let's go down, what a joke!"
Gryffindor's solemn words almost plunged Sirius headlong into the lava lake, and he shivered as he looked at the exploding lava bubbles in the lake, Sirius could be sure that if there was a little bit of it on him, it was a dead word!
Amosta was also slightly surprised, but he was much calmer than Sirius,
"Don't worry, there must be some way."
Amosta was familiar with the tricks of this kind of ruin, and although he couldn't perceive it, he could be sure that the huge cavern in front of him must be filled with powerful forbidden magic. Since Gryffindor said that he would go down to the magma and leave, then there must be a certain right path, and if you want to break through with strength, the pillar of fire spewed out by the magma lake below will probably not be so 'gentle'!
