Chapter 451: Reconciling with the Dursleys
After the fervent shout, Harry couldn't help but blink his eyes, for fear that he had mistaken the wrong person, but then, he threw the ridiculous thought out of his mind and rushed over it in three steps and two steps.
Sirius's complexion looked good, but his skin was much darker and rougher than it had looked a month ago, while Professor Lupin beside him was the opposite, Harry knew that he had been in St. Mungo for almost half a year, and Professor Lupin's face looked a little pale, but his eyes were much brighter.
"Huh, you're really here, and, Professor Lupin, I didn't expect that!"
Harry couldn't completely suppress the throbbing in his heart, and he said in a trembling voice.
Looking at Harry, who had already jumped up in height after only a month, and didn't even have to be much worse than himself, Sirius's smile was full of love, and he rubbed the top of Harry's head, which was messy at all times,
"How could I miss your birthday, Harry, it's not my style to break my word."
Sirius's words made Harry look embarrassed, but he still laughed silly, feeling every cell in his body fill with joy.
"Then again, Harry—"
Professor Lupin's style of speech was the same as before, very gentle. Moreover, he could always be considerate of other people's feelings, and his gaze looked over Harry's shoulder into the room, and his tone was a little worried.
"That Muggle who ran over was your uncle, right? I think we should say sorry to him, we didn't say hello to him and he seemed to be quite frightened. ”
"Oh, don't bother that nasty Muggle, Remus."
Sirius didn't care that he wasn't invited, and he put his arm around Harry's shoulders and walked straight into the foyer, while Remus looked helpless
"I think we'll have to wait at least until we get permission from the owner of the house to come in, Sirius—"
"Oh, then you'll have to wait a long time, Professor Lupin!" Harry said with a grin.
"I'm not your professor anymore, Harry, just call me Remus, okay--"
Remus obviously knew who the Dursleys were, and when Harry said that, he smiled helplessly and followed him into the foyer.
The Dursleys didn't know where to hide, and they weren't in sight in the kitchen. Harry knew that Sirius and Remus would not be too curious about the Dursleys' house, so he led them up the stairs to the second floor.
Harry's room was a mess, mainly because he was worried about whether Sirius could pick him up on time these days, and he didn't bother to clean it up at all, so he walked into the three of them rashly, and could hardly find a place to drop his ass. Sirius didn't care about any of this, he sat down directly on Harry's desk, smiling at Harry as he scrambled to pack his things. Fortunately, Remus was more caring, he waved his wand, and the magic items and clothes scattered around the room were packed up by himself, picking up the open boxes one by one.
"Oh, I wish I could use magic during the summer vacation--"
Harry's tone was tinged with resentment, but then, he put this behind him and looked eagerly at Sirius,
"Tell me about your adventure with Professor Blaine, Sirius, where exactly have you been?"
"Oh, this—"
Sirius looked at the room that was getting tidy, and smacked his mouth a little dissatisfied, but he didn't question it in writing, and when he heard Harry's inquiry, Sirius raised an eyebrow and smiled,
"It's wonderful, Harry, I can't tell you what we've been through, I promised Amosta to keep it a secret, but I can tell you that it's an adventure like never before, ten thousand times more amazing than the first time I saw Hogwarts Castle many years ago!"
"What the hell is that!"
Involving Professor Bryan was always interesting, Harry selectively ignored Sirius' words, still asking eagerly.
"Don't ask, Harry—"
Remus picked up the Charms paper that Harry had thrown on the ground, glanced at it twice, and raised his eyebrows, but he didn't say anything, and just let his summer homework fly into the box,
"I've asked Sirius a few times, but he won't say anything, honestly, Bigfoot, I'm curious what Amosta did to keep you shut, you know, you were not very good at keeping secrets when you went to school?"
"Don't try to provoke me to say it, Moonface—"
Sirius said with a grin,
"You know Amosta's temper, he allowed me to tell me about this adventure, but not now, if I say it now, he will definitely chase after me and deal with all the memories of you and Harry."
"yes--"
Remus couldn't help but smile, "yes, he can definitely do this kind of thing." ”
Last summer, Harry followed Professor Bryan to the underground world deep in Tumbledown Alley, where most of the active wizards were not very decent, Professor Bryan was able to move freely, and Harry would not be naïve enough to think that Professor Bryan was as conformist as Hermione. Thinking about the consequences of knowing that he shouldn't have known the secret, Harry cowered his neck, not daring to ask any further.
"I thought Professor Bryan would come with you, Sirius—"
Professor Bryan is also a wizard who is very close to him, Harry hopes that Professor Bryan can also appear on Privet Road again, and Professor Brian's status is special, his intimidation to the Dursleys is not just because he is a wizard, if he is willing to help him talk to the Dursleys, the Dursleys will treat him much better than him.
"Because of Your Wounds"
Sirius was halfway through his sentence when he suddenly closed his mouth in vigilance, apparently realizing that it was unwise to discuss topics related to Voldemort in a Muggle house,
"He had planned to come and see you, Harry, but he was in a hurry and separated from me when he came ashore, I was going to invite him to come with us to the World Cup, but he was clearly not very interested in such events-"
"In a sense--"
Remus searched his gaze across Harry's room,
"Amosta is a pure wizard, he loves the mystery of magic itself, which is one of the reasons why he has been able to achieve so much at this age, well,"
After making sure that nothing was left in the room, Remus looked at Harry, a gentle smile on his lips,
"We're going to Arthur's house now, we can't use Floo Net, and Phantom Shifter is a bit of a struggle for me, we can only get there by knight's bus, Harry, I guess you wouldn't mind traveling that way, would you?"
"Oh, I'd rather walk over if I could."
Harry's bitter words made Remus laugh.
Remus caused Harry's box to float on its own, and Harry carried Hedwig's birdcage and the three of them went downstairs together.
"Wait--"
Harry's mind was full of leaving the privet road and going to Weasley's house, when Sirius suddenly stopped and screamed as he passed the stairs.
"What's wrong, Sirius?"
Remus asked alarmedly.
Sirius let out a scornful snort, and as the other two watched, he pulled his wand from his sleeve and waved it lightly at the cupboard below the stairs.
Crash!
The cupboard door suddenly opened, and the Dursleys, who had disappeared for a long time, rolled out under Harry's stunned sight.
The cupboard had once been Harry's residence, and he knew so much about how much space it had to be, and it was hard to imagine that Uncle Vernon and Dudley could cram themselves into it.
Dudley couldn't get up after a few thrashes of fear, and Aunt Petunia pounced on Dudley at the first moment, whimpering quietly, tears of horror in her eyes.
"Get out of my house, immediately, or I'll make your head bloom!"
Surprisingly, Uncle Vernon was quite backbone, and even though the fat on his face trembled with fear, he still held his double-barreled shotgun, which had been destroyed by Hagrid once, and yelled at Sirius.
Ignoring Remus's warnings and Uncle Vernon's threats, Sirius pulled his head into the stairwell and looked at it, and by the time he retracted it, his face darkened.
"Don't, Sirius--"
Even Harry could see that Sirius might be ready to teach the Dursleys a lesson, and he yelled eagerly, leaving Hedwig to pounce on him and hug Sirius' hand.
"Amosta told me that they let you live in this cupboard for years!"
Sirius' grey eyes as he stared at the Dursleys were filled with anger, and he snapped,
"If you're willing, Harry, I'll let them stay in the cupboard for a few days!"
"Don't do anything stupid, Sirius!" Remus's tone was much more severe, "Do you want to go back to Azkaban?" ”
"I don't care!" Sirius shouted as he cockped his neck.
Seeing the tiny stick directed at him, Uncle Vernon broke out in a cold sweat, his two thick arms as soft as willow branches, and the shotgun in his hand fell to the ground with a clatter.
"Don't do that, Sirius!"
Harry emphasized again, looking at Aunt Petunia as he pounced on Dudley, and Uncle Vernon trembling, his green eyes showing unbearability,
"That's all in the past, Sirius!" Harry gasped, "They've been nice to me this summer since you last spoke to them, really, I can swear they've rehabilitated!" ”
Uncle Vernon's face froze, and even Aunt Penny, who had closed her eyes in fear, opened her eyes and looked at him incredulously, apparently, she couldn't believe that Harry would cover for them.
"Really?"
Harry's words worked, Sirius' raised arm was no longer so hard, and he slowly dropped his wand and looked at Harry suspiciously.
"I promise you!" Harry said 'yes'.
"So--"
Harry pulled Sirius behind him, trying to squeeze a smile out of the stunned Dursleys,
"See you next year, Uncle Vernon, Aunt Penny, and Dudley wish you all a great day."
