Chapter 456: Investment
"OWLS grades don't tell the whole story, and besides, not every young wizard who graduates and works at the Ministry of Magic is called successful, Molly."
Sirius said disapprovingly,
"If you don't understand what I mean, think of Amosta, who seemed to have been a vagrant for a few years after graduating, but you see, he's almost as famous as Dumbledore now."
In Harry's opinion, Sirius was undoubtedly a good example, but alas, Mrs. Weasley didn't buy it,
"If you're teaching me how to educate children, IMHO, Sirius, apparently I'm more experienced, Bill and Charlie have never gone down the wrong path, and look at Percy, why are so many role models in front of them, but they don't work at all!"
"It's not fair to Fred and George, Molly—"
Remus also said gently,
"In my opinion, I don't think Sirius was wrong, at least, what they made was not simple, and it wasn't something that could be made by grabbing a random wizard at Hogwarts. I checked their creations before you burned them, and none of them were easy, and I can assure you that not even the NEWTS kids could make any of them. ”
"That's what I think, Remus!"
Mrs. Weasley, who was in a rage, said angrily,
"It's not that they're not smart, they're just not doing their job! In the past few years, more complaints have been sent from Hogwarts than everyone else combined, and I just can't figure out what went wrong! ”
Harry helped Fred and George explain that their products were very popular with the little wizards at school, but Hermione's timely warning glance made him shut up.
"It's not the same thing to be frozen like this—"
After lunch, Ginny helped Mrs. Weasley wash the dishes in the kitchen, and in the living room, the rest of the people were still whispering about the conflict between Fred, George, and Mrs. Weasley, perhaps because they felt the need to repay the kindness they had eaten and drunk in the past few days, Remus frowned slightly and stared at Mrs. Weasley's back,
"One of them always has to compromise first."
"It's impossible to expect mom to apologize." Ron said in a nutshell.
"Why didn't you let me talk just now, Hermione?"
Harry looked at Hermione, who was silent and a little out of character, and said with a little dissatisfaction.
"Because I think—"
Hermione knew that everyone in the living room was on Fred and George's side in this matter, including Sirius and Remus, the two professors who had taught her, but Hermione took a deep breath and still said what was in her heart,
"yes, that's right, Fred and George's joke products are indeed very popular with the little wizards, and I saw it, but you ignored that their stuff is illegal!"
Ron raised his eyebrows, wanting to say something, but Hermione, who opened the conversation, said reluctantly,
"You've heard what Fred and George are doing in the room these days, there's a certain danger in making these things, and they can't make sure that their products have no side effects, do they, they do experiments on themselves, and sometimes they use junior wizards as experiments, don't you think there's a problem at all?
On top of that, they've been selling joke products to students for a while, but their products haven't been approved by the Ministry of Magic at all. With all due respect, Ron, your mom and dad won't be able to come up with enough gold gallons to compensate! ”
Hermione's words always went straight to the heart of the matter, not to mention the jaw-dropping Harry and Ron, and even Sirius was speechless for a while.
"You're right, Hermione." Remus said in an appreciative tone,
"I wouldn't be surprised if you were going to be a great professor or a good officer in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement."
"Oh, I just—"
The contrary opinion to most of them made Hermione bear a lot of pressure, but in the face of praise, she was extremely defenseless. Hermione's cheeks turned crimson, and she smiled introvertedly and shyly,
"Well, tell me what I think."
"Sticking to one's own opinion is the hardest thing." Sirius looked at Hermione with appreciation, "Well, I think I need to give those two lawless little ones a little advice now. ”
"We'll go now."
Remus was so unexpectedly interested in this that he got up from the table and beckoned them upstairs together.
When Sirius magically opened the locked door of the two brothers, they expected to see two of them lying on the bed, their faces depressed, but the sight was unexpected.
Fred and George had put the bed and furnishings against the wall, and they had carved out a wide space in the crowded room. The floor in the middle of the room was littered with a mess of herbs or dried insects, powdered animal offal, and so on, and Fred and George sat in the middle of the pile, both munching on bread and muttering at the bubbling solution in the cauldron.
"Hey, ladies and gentlemen!"
It took several seconds for the two brothers to realize that someone had pried open their door, and they thought it would be Mrs. Weasley, instinctively blocking the jars on the floor, and when they saw that it was such a group of people, Fred lowered his shoulders and said in displeasure,
"Can I file a lawsuit against the Wizengamot, is there a trespass?"
"Don't bother, Fernandes"
Sirius stared at the solution in the pot with interest, and for a moment he couldn't tell whether it was Fred or George who was speaking, and said vaguely,
"You can write a letter to Amosta and say that I broke down the door to your room, that he is a member of the Wizengamot Bench, and that he will put me back in Azkaban for you."
George wasn't in the mood to joke, he rolled his eyes, and then turned his attention to the product that was about to take shape, "We don't have time to entertain you right now, we need to hurry up and produce!" ”
"You threw away and did not give up on yours. Career or dream? ”
Remus stepped out from behind Sirius, he stepped forward and stared at the solution in the crucible for a few moments, sniffing the aroma in the air, and then, his eyes were on a cardboard box resting on the twins' bed, which contained a lot of canary biscuits and fireworks.
"You've produced so much more?"
Remus said with some surprise.
"Oh, of course, nothing can stop us from chasing our dreams, sir, and neither can the woman who may be doing housework in the kitchen below!"
Fred raised his eyebrows triumphantly,
"These are already sold, and we have to make sure that those customers who have paid for them can get their goods as soon as the summer vacation is over, and to be honest, we don't welcome outsiders here, and there are some trade secrets involved."
Well, at least judging by Fred and George's drive, it was a joke to fear them languishing beforehand.
There was a brief silence in the room, and Hermione frowned as she stared at the solution that was about to solidify in the cauldron, realizing that with her knowledge she couldn't tell what it was. Harry and Ron were on Fred and George's side, staring at the cardboard box on the bed with interest.
Where do you start?
Looking at the two brothers with full attention, Sirius pondered, he didn't want to dampen the enthusiasm of the two very gifted young wizards, but he had to tactfully remind them that their current behavior was indeed not so timely, at least, they could not control its danger.
There was silence for a moment, Hermione took everyone's expressions in her eyes, she pursed her lips almost like Professor McGonagall, just as she was about to stand up and express her opinion, Remus, who was silently contemplative, suddenly moved his eyes, he looked at Harry quietly, and then a sentence caused everyone in the room to fall into consternation,
"So, Fred and George, I'm here to ask, do you accept investment?"
