Chapter 491: Explanation
Silently in the Quidditch pitch, there was a sudden howl of pain, and then, a pattern with a faint green glow appeared, hanging above the box, and in the faint light of light, Harry could faintly see that a vague shadow had fallen in the box.
This sudden turn of events stunned the three Harry below, and they couldn't react for a while!
"What's going on?"
After more than ten seconds, Ron's mouth was open, and his voice seemed to be squeezed out of his throat, sharp and not at all the voice he usually spoke. Ron's eyes widened, staring in horror at the fluttering pattern in the sky above,
"What the hell is that?"
Harry almost thought that the pattern was made up of leprechauns again, but then he realized that the leprechauns were currently in the woods outside with the beauties brought by the Bulgarian team, and besides, the leprechauns would never make such a terrifying figure!
Harry looked hard to see that it was a gigantic skeleton, made up of countless turquoise star-like things, and a large python emerged from the skeleton's mouth like a tongue. As they stared, the skeleton rose higher and higher, shining brightly in a cloud of green smoke, like a rising constellation in the dark night sky.
"What is this?"
Perhaps it was the whistling sound around him that cleared Harry's head, and he also raised a similar question as Ron, he turned his head to look at the most likely of the three to answer this question, however, he was surprised to find that Hermione's face was pale and frightened,
"What's going on, Hermione, what do you see?"
Harry raised his eyebrows and grabbed Hermione's arm.
"This is the Dark Mark of the Dark Devil, Harry!"
Hermione groaned, "Get out of the way with the black-cloaked wizard who attacked the venue tonight, Harry!" ”
It wasn't Hermione screaming in horror that made Harry act, but the instinct of the body to avoid when he sensed danger, and at that moment, Harry and Hermione acted almost at the same time, and they all pounced on Ron who was standing there dumbfounded, and the three of them just rolled on the ground, and a series of popping sounds sounded around them.
"Faint!"
About twenty or so wizards roared and shot spells at them after they landed.
A series of glows of magic lit up the Quidditch arena, and Harry's face was crackled by the splatters of dirt on the ground, and he felt a burning red light pass over his head, and the wind blew so hard that he couldn't open his eyes.
"Stop!" A voice familiar to all three of Harry shouted, "Stop! That's my son, and Harry Potter! ”
The wind finally stopped, and the maggot-like sense of crisis finally dissipated, Harry let go of Hermione and Ron and looked up, the wizard closest to him had put down his wand and was squinting at his face, and Mr. Weasley was striding towards them from behind, looking terrified.
"Ron--Harry-" Mr. Weasley's voice trembled, "Hermione--are you all alright?" ”
"Get out of the way, Arthur." A cold, emotionless voice said.
Harry saw the face of another man and realized who the wizard was who ordered Mr. Weasley to go away, it was Percy, who followed behind his boss, looking at Harry and his little brother Ron who was sitting on the ground in disbelief.
"Are you going to be here?!"
Percy, who hadn't seen him for a while, shouted at them, his eyes not as worried as Mr. Weasley's, but rather with anger.
"Shut up!" Barty Crouch said again in that cold voice.
Then, he faced Harry and grimaced angrily, "Who did this?" "Sweeping between the three of them with a sharp gaze,
"Which of you has conjured the Dark Mark?"
"We don't!" Harry said, pointing to the skeleton above.
"We didn't do anything!" Ron chimed in, rubbing his elbow and looking at Mr. Weasley angrily, "Why are you attacking us?" ”
"Don't lie, gentlemen!" Crouch said, pointing his wand at Ron, his eyes bursting out - he looked a little crazy.
"You were found at the scene of the crime!"
"The three of them are just kids, Barty, and I'm taking them to see the game, and they can't have anything to do with the Dark Wizard who attacked tonight--" Mr. Weasley blocked Barty Crouch's wand and met Mr. Crouch's piercing gaze.
To Harry's annoyance, Percy looked at them with suspicion in his eyes, as if he was really thinking about the possibility of them conjuring the Dark Mark mark.
"Barty," whispered a witch in a long woolen dressing gown, "and it probably wouldn't be them, as far as I can see—"
Many of the Ministry of Magic officials who surrounded them thought that the green-eyed boy was Harry Potter, and that was enough to tell. If the Dark Mark appears in the presence of Harry Potter, there is only one possibility, and the person who summoned the Mark is calling a companion to kill Harry Potter.
But Barty Crouch was unmoved, and Mr. Weasley, a little unable to withstand Crouch's strong gaze, turned his head and asked anxiously,
"You three, where did this mark come from, and what did you see?"
"Over there--" Hermione said in a trembling voice, "in the box on the top floor, we saw the mark flying up from the box-"
"Oh? From the box? Mr. Crouch lowered his head, his gaze still terrifying, "You happen to see it, it's just a simple coincidence?" ”
"Barty!" Mr. Weasley was not angry at Barty Crouch's induced question, he glared into Barty Crouch's eyes again, and said quickly,
"You must have recognized one of the three of them as Harry Potter, right? Do you think Harry Potter will conjure up the Dark Mark? They were still students at Hogwarts, and I'm sure Dumbledore and Bryan had taught them no magic like the Dark Mark in what they had taught them! ”
Mr. Weasley's mention of Dumbledore and Bryan was so clear that even Crouch's cheeks twitched when he heard the names.
"Why are you here, Dad said you followed Sirius and Professor Bryan back to the tent?"
Percy asked Ron with a frown, after glancing at his father disapprovingly.
"What do you mean?" Ron glared at his brother dissatisfied, "I've already said that we have nothing to do with that marker, we just saw it before you did!" ”
"Answer the question, sir!" Crouch's gaze crossed Mr. Weasley's shoulder and pointed at Ron, "Surely you're not here to reminisce about the game, are you?" ”
Ron opened his mouth, but didn't speak. For he noticed that his father was watching him with concern, and if he told everyone that they had taken the risk to find the gold that he had won from Ludo Bagman, but had disappeared inexplicably, he would probably not be able to skin him before his mother could do it.
"We're looking for my wand—"
Harry caught Crouch's gaze,
"We did follow Sirius and Professor Blaine back to the tent, but before going to bed, I noticed that my wand was missing, and then remembered that the wand had fallen in the box, and Ron and Hermione came with me for fear of danger on the way, and we didn't go up because the staircase looked like it was going to collapse, and we were hesitating what to do!"
Coming looking for the Lost Lands Wand?
This was indeed unexpected by the group at the Ministry of Magic, but Mr. Weasley's cheeks tensed at Harry's words, "You didn't let Sirius accompany you?" ”
Harry hesitated, but decided to tell the truth, which seemed to make Mr. Weasley even angrier, and if it weren't for the special circumstances now, he would have disciplined them.
"How did you get here?"
Mr. Diggory, who had escorted the foreign wizard who had stolen the goods, seemed to think that Harry had made a very risky move, and he asked in an unbelievable tone, smacking his lips,
"The woods are full of our people, but no one has warned you, so you won't just swagger around, will you?"
At this point, Harry couldn't hide it anymore, and he showed off the invisibility cloak that was in a ball on his hand.
"Oh, the Cloak of Invisibility?"
Mr. Diggory said with a little surprise, "This thing is not cheap, but it can be explained—"
Amos Diggory turned his head to look at Mr. Crouch, who was squinting at Harry's invisibility cloak,
"Look, shall we go up and have a look?"
