Chapter 506: Repercussions

"Amosta Blaine--"

The blue magic eye in Moody's eye suddenly turned back, and he trembled wildly at Amosta, he stretched out his big rough hand and shook Amosta's hand, and smiled in a dumb voice,

"Kill the cunning werewolf leader, capture the dark witch who attacked the Quidditch match, and the Daily Prophet has become your personal page in this time!"

The hundreds of little wizards below craned their necks and looked curiously at the faculty table, at this time, it was obviously not suitable to talk more.

After exchanging a few words with Moody, Amosta turned to face the young wizards again, smiled and said,

"Allow me to introduce our new Defence Against the Dark Arts professorโ€”"

Amosta pretended not to hear, and Moody whispered to Dumbledore why he smelled a familiar smell of crime in him, and said happily to the young wizards,

"Professor Moody--"

Normally, when a new teacher arrives, everyone applauds, but now, with the exception of Professor Dumbledore, Professor Blaine, and Hagrid, none of the professors or students applauded. The applauding men, who noticed that their few slaps were lonely in the Silent Hall, lowered their hands in amusement, and the others seemed stunned by Moody's strange appearance, staring at him intently.

"Moody--"

Harry whispered to Ron, "Mad-Eye Moody? Is that the guy your dad is going to help today? โ€

"It must be him!" Ron whispered in fear.

"What's wrong with him?" Hermione lowered her voice and asked, "What's going on with his face?" โ€

The cold atmosphere in the auditorium was obviously not something Professor Bryan was happy to see, and he coughed lightly twice, and continued to smile,

"Professor Moody was an Auror before he retired, and the most experienced Auror in the last fifty years of the Ministry of Magic, and he has enough experience in dealing with the Dark Arts, and I believe this year's Defense Against the Dark Arts class will be very exciting!"

Anyway, Professor Bryan wanted to give face, and there was a sparse applause on the four long tables, and the little wizards whispered to each other. The junior wizards were busy asking what an Auror was, while the older students who knew enough about the wizarding world were asking what Moody's achievements were.

And Moody seemed indifferent to those curious peeping eyes. He stepped into the empty seat left for him, ignored the large jar of pumpkin juice in front of him, and instead pulled out a curved bottle and took a big sip. The cloak he dragged to the ground was pulled up a few inches as he raised his arm to drink, and many of the young wizards saw Moody's claw-shaped wooden prosthetic legs.

"--Well, let's get back to the point-"

Believing that he had done his duty, Amosta cleared his throat again,

"As I said before, in the coming months, Hogwarts will be proud to host a wonderful event that has not been held for more than a century, and I am pleased to report that the Triwizard Tournament will be taking place at Hogwarts this year."

"You're kidding!" Fred Weasley exclaimed.

The tension that had been hanging over the auditorium since Moody's entered the door was shattered. Almost everyone burst out laughing, and Amosta gave Fred an appreciative look, and continued,

"Maybe some people still don't know what Triwizard Tournament is all about, so I hope those in the know will forgive me for explaining a little here, and I'll allow their minds to desert for a moment - Triwizard Tournament is a competitive event with a perpetual history, founded about seven hundred years ago, and is a kind of friendship competition between the largest schools of magic and wizardry in Europe: Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang.

Each school will select a warrior, and then three warriors will compete in three magical projects. Held every five years, the Triwizard Tournament is hosted by the three schools in turn, and it is agreed that it is a great way for young wizards from different countries to build friendships

By the way, in the first half of this year, I met a young witch who could become a warrior at Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and her level can be said to be very good among young wizards, and young wizards who want to take on the challenge on behalf of Hogwarts must be fully prepared. โ€

Let Professor Bryan approve of the little wizard?

Not to mention the little wizards of the four academies below the auditorium, even the professors at the faculty and staff tables all turned their heads sideways, showing a certain curiosity.

"Of course, I'd like to make a point to you first--"

Looking at the little wizards whose emotions were gradually mobilized, Professor Bryan poured a basin of cold water at the right time,

"The Triwizard Tournament was interrupted because of the number of casualties among the young wizards involved in the tournament, and even the principals of the schools who served as judges were seriously injured in the most serious one, so when the International Magical Cooperation Division and the Magical Sports Division of the Ministry of Magic submitted the proposal to the International Federation of Wizards to restart the Triwizard Tournament, all parties involved in the tournament agreed to set an age limit for this year's competitors. Only young wizards who are at least seventeen years old are allowed to sign up for the selection-"

There was a sigh of loss and disgruntled protest in the auditorium, and Ron held an uneaten chicken leg in his hand, shrugged his shoulders senselessly, and said vaguely,

"It's a pity, it looks like we can only watch the excitement"

Harry nodded, and he glanced at Hermione, suddenly a little curious about who was better than the little witch and Hermione who were praised by Professor Brian.

"And once you've been appointed as the representative of the three schools, you think you'll be eligible to win the Triwizard Tournament trophy for your school, as well as a thousand gold Galleons that are entirely personal!"

"It's not fair!"

Ron burped at the chicken, but he swallowed it hard and screamed with a red face.

Ron's cry was not heard by Professor Blaine, because there were so many protesters at this moment that even the junior wizards of Slytherin, who had always been very supportive of Professor Blaine, did not buy this decision. On Hufflepuff's side, Harry saw someone even standing on a stool, protesting loudly.

"Oh, did these people figure it out?"

Hermione frowned and glared angrily at the little wizards,

"Professor Blaine has highlighted the dangers of this event, and think that wizards like Professor Dumbledore have been injured trying to stop some of the things that have gotten out of control in the game, and they think they can handle them? In my opinion, the Ministry of Magic, in addition to its age regulations, at least requires their OWLS grades! โ€

"Oh, shut up, Miss Granger!"

George Weasley immediately turned his head and said to Hermione, he and Fred had suffered a lot of crimes this summer because of OWLS's grades, and when they heard Hermione mention this, their minds were immediately angry.

But Hermione didn't flinch, she held her chin and glared at George with a strong gaze.

"We've got to find a way to overcome the obstacles, don't we?" Fred winked at the people around him, including Harry and Ron, "I mean, if we can think of a way, who would want to try and win glory for Hogwarts?" โ€

Fred's call was echoed by a number of people, even Neville nodded hesitantly, and then he was met with Hermione's surprised and angry glare,

"My grandmother will definitely want me to participate, and she always says that I should defend the honor of the family--"

Neville hung his head, begging Hermione for forgiveness with a look of shame.
