Chapter 518: Moody's Lesson

Thankfully, perhaps to make up for the bad weather in the days leading up to the start of school, the sky over Hogwarts Castle was not overcast during the first week of school, and it is still the case today, when the golden morning sun shone on Harry's face, Harry, who had been sleeping all night, rubbed his eyes and sat up from bed yawning.

There was no one left in the dorm, and this startled Harry, who fumbled around his glasses by the pillow, and the first thing he could do was pick up his watch as soon as his vision cleared. After looking at the time, Harry's nervous expression relaxed, and after spending ten minutes washing and changing, Harry found the Dark Magic Self-Defense Guide from a pile of books and stuffed it into his bag.

On the morning of the school day, there weren't many people walking around the common room, except for a few lucky ones who didn't have classes in the morning, and Harry didn't see Neville and Seamus here, presumably having breakfast in the auditorium.

As expected, Harry found his classmates in the auditorium, and Hermione was there, concentrating on an old book with a cover, and Harry only glanced at it to know that Hermione was in the book about magical configurations that Professor Bryan had given her, which he had seen many times before.

"I saw you slept soundly, so I didn't call you—"

Ron saw Harry walk into the auditorium from the foyer, and he waved at him and grinned.

"yes--" Harry pulled the chair next to Hermione and expertly shoved a lemon meringue into his mouth, "I'm tired enough." ”

Ron wiped his head and joined the others to discuss Professor Bryan's theory of duels in class. Harry, on the other hand, was surveying the Great Hall, and unsurprisingly, almost every little wizard at the long table was discussing their dueling lessons, and even at the faculty table, Professor McGonagall called Angelina over to find out what was going on, and several other professors, including Professor Dumbledore, listened attentively.

Harry turned his gaze back to the Slytherin table, where Malfoy was vividly describing the situation to Crabbe and Goyle, as well as the students who were not involved in the course, which made Harry feel angry, if it weren't for Malfoy's trouble, Professor Bryan would not have wanted to investigate Professor Moody, and even threatened to let Professor Moody leave.

However, the concerns about Professor Moody are not worth the concerns about Ron.

As Harry ate, he looked at Ron with such a look on his face, and the more he looked at it, the more he felt that something was not quite right with Ron.

"Hermione--"

Harry exclaimed quietly.

"Hmm-"

Hermione didn't take her eyes off the book, only responding in a raised nasal voice.

"I think there's something wrong with Ron—"

Hermione finally pulled her gaze out of the book, first at Ron a few times, then at Harry, blinking her slender eyelashes, quietly waiting for an explanation.

Harry lowered his voice and recounted the story in as concise and clear words as possible

"You didn't see, Hermione—"

Harry whispered,

"Last night, Ron looked so lost after learning about the PE class, like last year he thought Spotted had died at the hands of Rickcrook Hill, but you see, now he seems to have completely forgotten about it, as if nothing had happened."

Hermione didn't look surprised or worried, in fact, her expression was calm, and there was not a trace of ripple in her pure brown eyes.

"Isn't that a matter of course?"

Hermione glanced at Ron again, who turned his head away, and said to Harry calmly,

"Ron was avoiding it, he was afraid that we would see that he regretted giving up Professor Brian's class, and of course, it was obvious that he had acted—"

Harry opened his mouth, but said nothing.

Remembering Ron's embarrassed expression when Mr. Weasley commented on the strength of him, Hermione, and the other Weasley kids on their way from the Burrow to the Quidditch Arena, Harry had to admit that Hermione was not wrong at all.

Ron had already shown signs of regretting it, but Ron himself, including Harry, didn't want to make it too obvious.

"We've got to help Ron, Hermione--"

After a long silence, Harry whispered to Hermione, who was once again immersed in the mysterious world of magical configurations.

Syllable!

Hermione snapped the book in her hand, and when she looked at Harry this time, there was a little more anger in her eyes, and Hermione's chest rose and fell a little faster, and she gritted her teeth and asked rhetorically,

"What do you think you should do, Harry?"

Hermione clutched Professor Bryan's book tightly, her slender fingers turning white from too much force,

"Like Professor Bryan pleading for him to re-admit Ron back to PE class? If that's what you think, I'd advise you to save your energy, Harry, we all know Professor Bryan's character, he's not as good a talker as Hagrid, and he'll tolerate Malfoy's repeated troubles in his class—

Professor Bryan wasn't going to go against what he said, and during the selection phase he told everyone that we could give up his course, and he wouldn't pursue it, but the little wizard who gave up wouldn't have a second chance to join - do you think it was possible, Harry, to get Professor Bryan to allow Ron to rejoin? Lavender complained to me in the dorm room last night, and she thought that Professor Bryan should make it clear and tell everyone the full lesson plan at the beginning, so that everyone can make a decision after understanding the situation, hehe, as if she could make a decision for Professor Bryan! ”

"What are you talking about?"

Ron suddenly turned his head and looked at Hermione with a strange expression,

"What are you throwing your temper attracting, Hermione?"

Crash!

Hermione stood up suddenly, picked up her bag beside her, held Professor Bryan's book in her arms, and walked straight to the foyer without looking back.

"Oh, early in the morning, what is she crazy about?"

Ron asked, frowning as he stared at Hermione's back.

"Uh- yes, uh. Professor Moody's thing--"

Harry said a little embarrassed, and he told Ginny what he had told him that Professor Blaine was going to investigate Professor Moody.

"Professor Moody Professor Blaine to help us, so I asked Hermione if I could ask Professor Blaine for intercession--"

Harry made up nonsense,

"But Hermione thinks well, Professor Moody really shouldn't have attacked Malfoy with magic--"

"Is she crazy?" Ron was surprised, "Which side is she on?" ”

"yes--"

Harry dodged Ron's gaze and nodded awkwardly.

When I saw Hermione again, it was already Professor Moody's Defence Against the Dark Arts class, and when Harry and Ron walked into the classroom, it was almost full, and the two of them hurriedly found a seat in the back to sit down, Harry turned his head to look, and sure enough, on a separate stool under the window, he found Professor Brian with his eyes closed as if he was asleep.

Many people were confused as to why Professor Bryan was in Defense Against the Dark Arts class, and only a few knew why.

As time went on, the classrooms became fuller and fuller, but perhaps because Professor Bryan was sitting here, no one dared to make a noise, and everyone sat quietly in their seats, quietly waiting for the class to begin.

Why didn't Professor Moody show up, could it be that he was afraid of making a fool of himself in front of Professor Brian, so he simply gave up the class?

Harry couldn't help but think so, his heart grew heavier, and when he saw Draco Malfoy in front of him, who seemed to be nothing, he gritted his teeth again, this guy probably found out why Professor Bryne was here, and was staring expectantly in the direction of the classroom door, gloating with a grim face.

Wow, wow, wow!

Harry breathed a sigh of relief when the very recognizable cane tapped on the floor, at least, Professor Moody didn't have to worry about running away.

Professor Moody caught a glimpse of Professor Bryan sitting by the window, his footsteps paused and returned to normal, he walked to the podium with difficult steps, took out the roster, shook his head, shook his long gray hair away from his twisted, scarred face, and began to roll call. His normal eye moved down the list, the MONOCULUS constantly spinning around, staring at each of the answering students, but Harry noticed that the MONOCULUS never moved in Professor Blaine's direction, as if deliberately avoiding it.

"Alright--"

When the last professor finished answering, Professor Moody put the roster back on the podium and said in a hoarse voice,

"I think you've all noticed that we have a guest in this class--"

Amosta, who closed her eyes by the window and was pretending to sleep, opened her eyes at the right time. (End of chapter)
