Chapter 521: Neville's Problem

Because of his consistent training in physical education class, Neville looked much more capable than he had in the first half of his third year, his cheeks had become much thinner, and his body had become much more solid, but many times, the confused light in his eyes made people think that he was still naïve.

Right now, for example, he was glaring at Professor Blaine, his expression glazed over, his pale lips chattering.

"Mind Drill Spell - you all just saw Professor Moody's show it-"

Professor Bryan said calmly,

"To put it simply, this magic makes people feel painful, extreme pain, and it can't be overcome by willpower, does anyone know why?"

Harry had expected another silence to fall, or that Hermione would raise his hand to answer the question, but to his shock, Neville staggered and raised his hand, and even Professor Bryan was surprised by this scene, he raised an eyebrow and responded after a few seconds,

"Mr. Longbottom, oh, tell me what you think--"

"You just said—"

As if someone had been choked by the throat, Neville gasped with difficulty, ignoring the sarcastic and surprised gazes, his shoulders swaying slightly,

"Mind-heart-soul, the Imperius curse controls people's minds, drills, drills the heart, curses me, I think, attacks the heart-"

"Very good, Mr. Longbottom, Gryffindor plus five points."

Professor Bryan nodded appreciatively at Neville and gave him extra points. Normally, except for Professor Sprout's class, Neville would not be able to get praise and extra points in the rest of the class, but he probably won't be able to take it twice in an academic year. Neville wasn't overjoyed, though, his eyes glued to Professor Blaine's face, his pupils dangling with anticipation and fear.

"As I said at the beginning, the three unforgivable spells can all be defined as spiritual black magic, and the pain caused by the heart mantra is not manifested in the physical body, it directly crosses the mind of the mental surface and destroys the mind of living beings in an almost embodied way, so that willpower alone cannot resist this pain--"

Perhaps because Professor Bryan's tone was so calm, even the young wizards became more sensible, as if they had forgotten that they were exposed to the Ministry of Magic's fearful Unforgivable Spell, and that it was just a simple functional spell in Charms class.

There were, of course, exceptions, and that was Neville and Harry.

They all stared at Professor Bryan with both expectant and fearful eyes, who had begun to wander around the classroom again.

"Because the damage of the Heart Drill Spell is closer to the core, the wounds it causes are even more difficult to heal, Miss Abbot?"

Hufflepuff's Hannah Abbott raised her hand, she shook the two blonde braids behind her head, looking a little panicked and uneasy,

"You told us not to be too afraid of them - I mean, the unforgivable curse, but the knowledge you said, I mean, they seem to confirm the unforgivable curse. We can't resist them—"

Hannah's Ernie nodded, but he noticed that Professor Bryan's eyes were falling here, so he quickly shook his head again.

"If I turn your bag into a knife with Transfiguration and slam it at your neck now, do you think you can defend it, Miss Abbot?"

Professor Bryan said calmly.

"Of course not!"

Professor Bryan's words made Hannah feel as if there was really a cold blade around her neck, and she shuddered and hurried back to the question, while on the other side, Hermione nodded thoughtfully.

"So, do you understand?"

Professor Blaine continued,

"A lot of dark magic, offensive spells, once you are hit, then you are completely finished, there is no chance of healing or resistance, from this point of view, the Imperius Charm and the Drill Heart Spell will not let you play at least immediately, and even, after being hit, there is a chance to turn the tables and be cured-"

Neville and Hannah sat close together, so Amosta immediately noticed Neville's facial features shrinking.

"What's the problem, Mr. Longbottom?"

Faced with this question, Neville's gaze dodged, he didn't dare to look directly at Professor Blaine's gaze, and stared down at the Defense Against the Dark Arts Guide spread out on the table, staggering.

"Neville—" Hermione reminded worriedly, "Professor Bryan is talking to you!" ”

Many people heard Hermione's warning, but Neville ignored it, his fists clenched tightly under the table, his body trembling slightly.

Harry stopped expecting the last of the three unforgivable spells and looked at Neville in astonishment, not understanding what was going on.

"Perhaps--" Professor Moody, who had no presence on the podium, suddenly spoke, as he said thoughtfully, as Professor Blaine began to speak,

"Mr. Longbottom wants to know if there is any possibility of healing a wizard who has been hurt by the Diamond Heart Curse?"

Neville looked up suddenly, glaring at Professor Moody in horror, only to receive a meaningful smile.

"So—"

Amosta, who had seen everything in his eyes, nodded thoughtfully.

Neville Longbottom's loved ones have been afflicted with the Curse of the Heart, which has not yet been cured. Who is Longbottom.

Looking at Neville, whose face seemed to be as pale as frost, Amosta's eyes became dark,

"It depends on the situation--"

After a few seconds of silence, Amosta said calmly

"It depends on the degree of damage, if the person who cast the spell has mediocre mana, and the evil thoughts held when using this magic are not deep, that is to say, when the power of the heart slaying spell is not strong, the St. Mungo's Magical Injury Hospital has a way to help the victim slowly recuperate until he recovers."

Neville obviously didn't want to know that, and everyone could tell.

"What if you are tortured by a very strong Diamond Heart Curse?"

Professor Moody looked at Hermione, the little girl who had been the first to notice Longbottom when he was frightened by the Mind Dash Charm, and stood up to stop him from experimenting with the Mind Dash on the spider, and at this moment, she was also peeking at Neville Longbottom worriedly.

"That's more troublesome—"

Professor Bryan looked away from Neville and said calmly,

"As I said, the Mind Curse attacks the minds of living beings, and an overly powerful Heart Curse can cause the world of people's minds to shatter and make people lose their minds, if anyone really encounters this situation--"

Professor Blaine fell silent suddenly,

"I'm sorry, guys, but I haven't studied this problem in depth, so I can't give you a specific solution."

Professor Moody's magic eye clicked and rolled in its sockets, finally aiming at Neville, who was like a mourner, and asked in a gruff voice

"It's not absolutely impossible to heal, is it, Professor Blaine!"

"There may be a solution, but the specific situation needs to be discussed on a case-by-"

Professor Bryan's words were very tactful, but everyone could tell that he thought that the shattering of the spiritual world caused by the Diamond Heart Curse was not hopeless!

Glancing at the wall clock on the wall, Professor Bryan spoke faster,

"And finally, let's talk about the Avada Curse, what do you think--"

"It's attacking our souls, isn't it?"

Recalling the green light that had appeared in his trance several times, the screaming woman and the cruel laughter, Harry's face turned pale, ignoring the strange stares of his classmates, Harry asked eagerly,

"The Avada Curse attacks the wizard's soul, so, so--"

Harry racked his brain as he thought about how to express himself,

"If you fall under the spell, is there a way-"

"You've forgotten Professor Moody's teachings, Mr. Potter—"

Professor Blaine's eyelids twitched, and the light in his lilac eyes flickered for a moment,

"If you fall under the Avada Curse, you will die immediately, there is no possibility of it being cured, but I must point out to you a mistake, Mr. Potter, Avada Soul is not attacking the soul of a living being, it is a very effective cutting or stripping technique, it is aimed at what I said at the beginning, the strange connection between the shell of life and the soul, it can sever this connection, strip you of life, and lead to the arrival of death, Mr. Potter--"
