Chapter 572: Conclusion
Karkaroff threw the question to the two high-ranking officials of the British Ministry of Magic, and Bagman was so excited by his question that he was ready to make his point, but when his eyes touched Amosta Blaine's expressionless face, Bagman was dumbfounded, and he looked cautiously at Barty Crouch.
Hermione immediately set her eyes on Crouch, she had no idea that her fate would fall into the hands of this Ministry of Magic official she hated.
Mr. Crouch stood outside the aperture of the fire, his face half hidden in shadow. He looked a little weird, the dark shadow on his side made him look so old, he looked a bit like a skeleton. But when he spoke, it was as stiff as ever.
"Amosta is right, Hermione Granger has no other choice, and we must abide by the rules, which clearly state that anyone whose name comes out of the Goblet of Fire must compete in the tournament."
"That's it!"
Ludo Bagman said, with a smile on his face, looked back at Karkaroff and Ms. Maxim as if the matter had been settled.
"If it has to be!"
Karkaroff seemed to have learned the essence of Crouch's tone of voice, his voice was no longer smooth and stiff, the smile on his face disappeared, and the back of his clenched fist collapsed.
"You have to put the Goblet of Fire back up, and we're going to keep adding names to it until there are two warriors in every school. That's fair, Brian! ”
"But Karkaroff, I'm afraid it won't work--"
Neither Amosta nor Dumbledore said in embarrassment,
"The Goblet of Fire has just gone out—it won't be lit until the next tournament--"
There was a moment of silence, and Fleur turned her gaze to a sullen Amosta, while Wickdor looked at Hermione. He had a crush on the witch at Hogwarts. On the night of the World Cup final, the little witch was used in the box to fight against the dark wizards who were so much stronger than her, which is enough to show her bravery.
As for the official Hogwarts Warrior, Cedric Diggory, he is a little helpless now, as if everyone in the room doesn't particularly care about him.
"--The next tournament, Durmstrang will never participate!"
Karkaroff was furious,
"We've had so many meetings, Brian, and after so much negotiation and consultation, I didn't expect something like this to happen! I almost want to leave now! ”
"The doors of Hogwarts are always open, Karkaroff, you can go whenever you want, but your warriors must stay--"
Amosta said indifferently,
"Like Miss Granger, I can't watch Mr. Krum be turned into a Squib by the Goblet of Fire's Pact."
Karkaroff's face turned red, he stared at Amosta, gritted his teeth and said,
"You're threatening me, Brian, I swear I'll sue the Federation, don't think that you're the vice president and you'll be exempt from punishment for your mistakes!"
"Threaten with bravado, Karkaroff!"
A voice roared at the door,
"You're not going to give up the tournament at all, Karkaroff, I've been hearing you complain as if you're the biggest victim, but the real victim hasn't said a word for himself until now!"
Moody limped over to Karkaroff, making a loud noise every time his right foot landed.
"I'm sorry, I'm afraid I can't figure out what you mean--"
Karkaroff subconsciously took a step back, and then, realizing that so many people were looking at him, he took another step forward and said in annoyance,
"It's hard to say that Marmsstrong and Beauxbatons weren't victims, and what do you mean by 'real victims'?"
"I know what you guys think!"
Moody's exclaimed,
"You still suspect that someone from Hogwarts threw Hermione Granger's name into the Goblet of Fire, so Hogwarts has two chances!"
"Isn't it?"
Madame Maxim raised her chin and said in annoyance.
Perhaps because Madame Maxim responded, Professor Moody showed restraint, but the contempt for the argument in his tone was palpable to all,
"Everybody knows that Miss Hermione Granger is just a minor witch, and if the person who did such a thing really intends to give Hogwarts two chances, why doesn't he pick someone who looks like he can win?"
Moody's blue eyes, one large and one small, were staring at Karkaroff with a terrible smile,
"In my opinion, there are only two possibilities, either the person who did this has a deep grudge against Miss Granger and wants her to die in the project, or."
Moody's tone became more dangerous,
"Miss Granger is just an innocent person who has been implicated, the person who did this has a problem with Hogwarts, wants to see Hogwarts in big trouble, if she loses her life, Hogwarts will make a big joke, right, make two warriors, and die a -——"
Hermione's scalp tingled, and she felt Professor McGonagall, who was holding her shoulder, also grasp her arm hard at this moment.
"Dumbledore, Amosta, are we—"
The light of the fire shone on Professor McGonagall's face, and her heart-wrenching expression was delicately imprinted, "Think of another way to get Granger safely removed from the Warrior's seat?" ”
Karkaroff clearly understood what Moody was hinting at, and he was about to retort loudly, but Professor McGonagall's words silenced him for a moment, and it would be best if there really was a way to get this nasty little girl who knew at first glance to be a mudblood out of the tournament.
"There's going to be a way--"
What Dumbledore said shocked everyone, is there really a way to make Granger not a warrior and not be abolished? So what are they arguing about until now? Was Dumbledore just looking at jokes?
Even Amosta's brow moved imperceptibly.
"If we agree to destroy the Goblet of Fire, then there will be no backlash to the magic contract, Miss Granger can safely exit the tournament project, and we can continue to identify with the other three warriors."
Dumbledore looked at Amosta calmly.
Amosta's eyelids jumped, and he understood what Dumbledore meant.
Destroy the Goblet of Fire?!
Even Karkaroff, who danced the most, fell silent, and in his opinion, Dumbledore was undoubtedly joking. The Goblet of Fire was an extremely valuable magic item and historical artifact, and neither the Ministry of Magic nor the International Federation of Wizards would agree to it, but if Dumbledore insisted on doing so
Moody's MONOCULUS was almost stuck by Dumbledore's cold plan, and he had no idea that his speculation would lead to this outcome.
"I will not allow—"
Barty Crouch straightened his body for the first time tonight, and instead of looking at Dumbledore, he walked out of the firelight and stared at Karkaroff with a terrifying look,
"The Goblet of Fire has been a valuable item for centuries, and I will not allow it to be destroyed for the first time in centuries, and the Ministry of Magic will not allow this solution!"
Karkaroff was frightened by Crouch's eyes, he was full of grievances, and his lips twitched a few times, as if to justify that he was not the one who proposed the plan.
"If you guys think it's unfair, Karkaroff, Lady Maxime, then we can all agree that Hogwarts' score in the final match is the average score of Cedric Diggory and Hermione Granger, and that's the solution, everyone has to play!"
"According to your theory, it's Dumbledore who should be complaining now, isn't it?"
Moody smiled hideously at Karkaroff the first moment Crouch's words landed,
"No one would think that underage witches can do well in the game, and Hogwarts has a lot of lag now!"
Dragging
Even though Hermione was now filled with so much sorrow in her heart, she still took the time to be angry for Professor Moody's words for a moment
Dumbledore and Amosta's gazes intersected for a brief moment, then staggered.
"No Hogwarts opinion--"
Amosta said calmly.
"So how are we supposed to explain it to the public?"
Ludo Bagman asked happily.
"The new charter of the Triwizard Tournament—" Amosta glanced at Bagman, "the host school can have two warriors. ”
Amosta looked at Professor Karkarov, whose face was swollen and red,
"This can be kept as a common practice, Professor Karkaroff, and hopefully it will allow you to keep your morale high when the next tournament is held hosts and judges—"
