Chapter 598: Each Other's Perspective
Hagrid had always been one of their most trusted people, and Harry had nothing to hide from him. After Hagrid asked, Harry couldn't wait to say that something was wrong with Ron from the week since Hermione was chosen as a Warrior until Sirius had just broken it.
Harry also expressed his indignation at Hermione, believing that he shouldn't have kept it a secret when he saw that something was wrong with Ron.
In the face of Harry's accusations, Hermione lowered her head sadly and did not speak, but Tum looked at Harry with a look that was not quite right, as if he was planning to kick him out of the house.
"Don't make trouble, little one, we're talking about something serious—"
Hagrid presciently warned Dom before sighing,
"What do you think Hermione should do, Harry. The conflict between you was triggered by her becoming a warrior, and she knew he couldn't make Ron happy, but if you told Ron what he thought and saw the consequences, Harry, do you think Hermione would want to see you fight with Ron? It's this thing that hurts her the most—"
Hagrid patted Hermione softly on the shoulder, as the little girl was now wiping away her tears again. Just like last year, when Ron misunderstood Crookshank Hill and killed Spotted, Hermione would come to him to complain, often shedding tears.
Hermione's appearance made Harry unbearable for a while, and he opened his mouth to blame her anymore, so he said resentfully,
"It's all Ron's idiot!"
"Come on, Harry--" Hagrid said sharply, "Anyone who punches a friend is stupid, and you and Ron have a problem. ”
Hagrid's words reminded Harry of what Ron had said to him in the arena just now, and he stood up from the table with a bang, excitedly trying to explain, but Hagrid waved his big fan-like hand,
"I know what you're trying to say, Harry, it's foolish for you to be jealous of your fame and Hermione being a warrior, you're friends, and neither the fame you have nor Hermione's warrior status is what you want but have you ever thought about the pressure that Ron is under and he can choose not to bear it, right?"
"What do you mean?"
Harry frowned, and Hermione was unmoved, apparently having already thought of what Hagrid was going to say.
"You and Ron have been good friends since you two little ones entered this school, and you two are a well-known 'Boy Who Never Dies', another excellent student who is loved by the professor, and Ron has been following you and has been suffering from everyone's neglect of him, has he complained about this?
Harry, do you think Ron would be much better off if he were to be friends with Seamus and Dean? You know the Weasleys, Harry, why do you think Ron should be around you at school after being neglected at home, honestly, I think he's pretty good, he's played Professor McGonagall's magic flag chess before, and there aren't many young wizards who can do that! ”
Harry listened to only a fraction of what Hagrid said, which was about Ron wanting to be friends with Dean and possibly giving him up with Hermione.
"He's obviously trying!"
Harry's heart twitched, but he still said angrily.
"Look—" Hagrid spread his hands, "Ron's look, you're also responsible for not being there, because you've never been formally in his pain. Or rather, to ignore it, not to be aware of it at all. But he didn't blame you, he had been suffering in silence, and this time, Hermione's affair stimulated him, he just couldn't stand it, the two good friends were all famous in the world, and he was the only one left"
"But it's not our fault!"
Harry was furious,
"If he's willing to be an orphan or be targeted by deadly machinations, then maybe he'll be able to make a name for himself!"
"Why don't you understand?"
Hagrid was also a little angry, and he said in a rough voice,
"You now know that the pressure on Ron is real, and it's not pretentious, so why should he be under the pressure that he has to endure as your friend? He could have distanced himself from you the day he realized it was stressful, but he didn't, and it's clear that Ron values the friendship he's built with you, doesn't he? ”
Hagrid said sharply,
"Ron hasn't told you much about his troubles because he's still willing to be friends with you. Of course, he's had some problems lately, but it's normal, isn't it, you can't expect a person, especially a young underage wizard, to be so enlightened, he can't stand it and needs to vent his stress--"
There was a suffocating silence in the cabin, save for the occasional crackling explosion of the chung in the box on the other side of the wall.
Harry's eyes were straight, his fists clenched and he didn't know where to go, but he at least admitted that he hadn't thought about the pressure of being friends with Ron.
"So, you think it's Hermione's problem."
Harry spoke slowly, word by word, his turquoise eyes flickering with fire.
"I didn't say that—"
Hagrid calmed his emotions and calmed down,
"Ron does have a problem, he shouldn't have snubbed and alienated you because of Hermione's status as a warrior, but I want you to understand, Harry, there is a reason for this, you should give Ron a little time to digest his emotions, and after that, I'm sure you'll be reconciled as before, instead of trying to ask him why he's not as noble as he used to be—"
Don't think you're the only one who is noble, Potter.
Harry's face froze, and he suddenly felt suffocated. He looked at Hermione, his eyes revealing guilt, Hermione was desperately trying to catch up with him in the secret passage before, if she wanted to talk to him, was this the kind of thing she wanted to say, she kept holding back, did she want to give Ron a little time?
So, was he who messed things up?
"What do you think we should do now, Hagrid?"
Hermione finally looked up, her eyes teary, and Dom was in tears as she watched.
"I can't give you an exact answer—"
Hagrid sighed heavily, he got up and walked over to the stove and flicked the valve of the air inlet with his fingers.
"But my advice is that you don't go to Ron right away to talk about it, you all have to take some time to think about what a friend is. After you've calmed down completely, maybe you can talk about it again, as Sirius said--"
Harry was a bit of a loser right now, and what if Ron was really going to give up Hermione and what he would do, according to Hagrid, it seemed to be the easiest thing for Ron. But he still couldn't get angry, Ron couldn't wait to have another seizure, he should know that it was a critical moment for Hermione!
"Yes, Hermione—" Hagrid said everything he could, looking at Hermione with concern, "How's your preparation for the event?" ”
Hermione sniffed hard a few times,
"I've looked up some materials that were on projects that were played in the Triwizard Tournament centuries ago, but I don't know if it's going to work, and I guess they're not going to repeat those projects."
"This little guy has been worried about you!" Hagrid ran his fingers at Dom's head, "It's a pity they don't allow helpers, otherwise you could have brought them along--"
