Chapter 633: Responsibility
The much-anticipated triwizard tournament has finally come to an end, and judging by all aspects, this year's Triwizard Tournament is a classic, with many things to remember, and it is not impossible to leave an understatement in the history of magic.
But for the organizers, it didn't end there.
Many of the biggest names in the European wizarding world gathered at the venue, some of them left the campus directly after watching the game, and some took a horse-drawn carriage to Hogsmeade Station, intending to take the last Hogwarts train back to London.
Of course, there were also many people who chose to stay, and so a grand banquet began.
Thousands of candles hovered over the spacious Great Hall, making the castle's Great Hall even bigger than ever. In the past, the tables of the four college chiefs were covered with luxurious velvet tablecloths, and the house-elves in the kitchen did their best to make a series of beautiful and delicious food.
In order to entertain these guests, almost all of the Hogwarts faculty and staff went out to make a toast, and even Madame Pince, who was in charge of the library, stood with Filch with a dark face to toast the guests.
But there weren't particularly many young wizards attending the banquet, and they were more than happy to go back to the common room of their respective houses and discuss today's game with their classmates, rather than cautiously eating dinner in front of a group of adult wizards with fake smiles on their faces.
Three of the four Warriors were in the Hogwarts Hospital, so Hermione, as the representative of the Warriors, could only stay in the Great Hall, which led to a group of Gryffindors staying with her.
"What did you say!" Hermione's startled cry suddenly rang out in the auditorium, "How could Winter, and Sirius--"
Harry hurriedly gestured to Hermione with a boo, and Ron, who was beside him, had a dumbfounded expression.
"Sirius?"
Ms. Bones took a sip of crystal clear tequila and said thoughtfully,
"I heard your students calling Sirius's name, Amosta, what, did he come to the arena today, but I didn't. Oh, I guess he must have used the form of Animagus? β
Amosta smiled,
"For my sake, don't deduct his salary this time--"
"You can't coerce him with your salary, although the Black family is lonely, the remaining wealth is still enough for him to live a good life, to be honest, he doesn't have to do this drudgery at all, does he?"
Amelia raised her glass to Ludo, who was jubilant in the crowd, and then turned to Amosta,
"The reason why Rufus has not been willing to see him is known to almost everyone in the Ministry, Sirius escaped from prison in Azkaban and absconded all the way to Hogwarts, and in those days the Ministry used almost everyone who could use it to catch him, and Rufus received criticism from Connelly and Barty almost every day in those days--"
Amosta knew that Amelia was probably questioning the reason why he had put Sirius in the Ministry of Magic, and that Amosta had only asked Amelia to help her, but had not given her enough convincing reasons. As a political alliance in the true sense of the word, it can be a little uncomfortable.
The two men who had a tacit understanding slowly shook the people who were about to toast them towards the foyer, and the clear night and cold wind made the two people who had drunk a lot of wine clear, and they walked down the stairs and walked through the field to the edge of the black lake.
The flawless moonlight reflected on the surface of the lake did not light up the waters of the Black Lake, but made the abyss appear even darker.
"There's one thing I think you need to know, Ameliaβ"
Amosta looked away from the lake and into the hut at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, where he saw Hermione, Harry, and Ron darting across the field toward Hagrid's hut. After smiling, he looked at Amelia, who was engrossed in listening to what he was about to say,
"You may think it's ridiculous or abrupt for me to say this, but the truth is that the man whose name has always been so feared in this country that people don't even dare to mention his name will probably return to us soon--"
The wind was still blowing, but this whistling brought a wonderful 'silence', as if the whole world was only the monotonous sound of the wind.
"I'm sorry, Amosta, I don't understand, if you mean-"
It's hard to tell whether Amelia's expression is more dazed or more frightened at the moment, in short, she tilted her head and glared at Amosta Blaine, who was half a head taller than her, and her eyes searched that calm face, as if trying to find some evidence of the existence of a lie.
"--If you mean. Mystery man? β
Amelia's reaction made Amosta sigh in her heart, although Amelia's reputation for toughness is not as good as Barty Crouch, but her integrity is far more than that, such a wizard will not be afraid to fight evil, however, just hearing what she says, she looks like a master of six gods.
"That's the man, Amelia--"
Amosta walked along the shore of the lake and said calmly, while Amelia stumbled and then hurried after her.
"You should know, Amosta, it's very I mean especially serious--"
Amelia sweat rolled down her forehead, and she gasped with difficulty,
"You're not joking ... But wasn't that mana's mana completely destroyed by Harry Potter, he. Oh, Dumbledore did keep telling people that the mysterious man would come back one day, but."
Amelia was speechless, her mind was full of terrible things that had happened during the last war - riots, assassinations, massacres, torture, chaos, betrayal, everyone in danger.
Few people in the wizarding world today are willing to take the initiative to recall those dark days that brought endless suffering, including Amelia, and not to recall the helplessness of life and death.
Amosta didn't say anything more, just walked quietly, knowing that Amelia would probably need a little time to digest the matter.
"Dumbledore has agreed with you on this matter, has he?"
After a long time, Amelia gritted her teeth and said,
"Do you have substantial evidence?"
"You should know, Amelia, no one is going to joke about this, especially Dumbledore We found some evidence and signs that this will really happen and it won't be long, maybe only a few months"
"In that case!"
Amelia became emotional,
"Is it possible that I mean, since you have found out the clue, is it possible to prevent this from happening, Dumbledore and you, if you join forces, it doesn't make sense. I mean, I'm sure I'll be able to sabotage the mystery man's plan to return."
Amelia looked eagerly at the young wizard, who was only half her own age, expecting an optimistic answer, even if she had already guessed in her heart, and getting a reply would definitely be a bad outcome.
"Sorry, we can't--"
Sure enough, Amosta responded in a regretful tone,
Or rather, no. There are some complex reasons for this, and it is impossible to say. Amelia, you must understand that this matter must be kept absolutely secret, you can't reveal it like anyone, I told you, I just hope you can be some psychological preparation, after all, when fighting against a force that wants to subvert everything, the Ministry of Magic is very important, and it must ensure that at that time, the functions of the Ministry of Magic are complete-"
After a long period of silence, Amelia looked at Amosta with a complicated face, and she couldn't imagine that she had come to Hogwarts just to support Amosta and maintain the friendly 'strategic partnership' between the two, she would hear such an amazing thing from Amosta.
"So, after the Greyback incident, you chose to support me for today, right. But why don't you go to Connelly? Well, Connelly wasn't fit to lead the Ministry of Magic during the war years, and what about Barty, you didn't go to him because he wasn't a wizard who wanted his decisions to be interfered with? β
It must be admitted that none of these high-ranking officials with great power are simple figures.
Amosta's deep gaze flickered into the night, and he smiled at Amelia, his tone gentle,
"I'm not a schemer, Amelia, and I don't want to control either you or the Ministry of Magic.
I just hope that the Ministry of Magic can really play a positive role after the war starts, and that it can listen to people's opinions and suggestions, but it is such a simple appeal, Cornelius Fudge and Barty Crouch can't do it, and as for those below, they don't have enough prestige to even control the Ministry."
"I'd be happy to accept a kind and wise reminder--"
Amelia took a deep breath,
"It's okay not to give the news, definitely not, or it will cause panic and interfere with your and Dumbledore's plans. But since you told me, you must want me to do something, right? β
