Chapter 648: Help
Even back in his office, Amosta did nothing else, leaning against the fireplace wall with a cup of hot tea, staring at the clear, but not so bright, winter sky.
Even if the world rotates, there is still the familiar starry sky overhead, and those shining stars stay where they should be, and they may not change for thousands of years.
"Whew"
It wasn't until the brightest moon in the night sky crossed over to the other side of the castle that Amosta sighed, retracted his gaze, and suddenly came back to his senses, and the cup of tea in his hand was almost icy. The pine wood in the fireplace had burned out, and the dwarthy office was as cold as it was outside.
Amosta didn't relight the fireplace, and when he returned to his desk, he looked at the picture frame on the desk, the old man who was smiling at him, and his mind was uncontrollably empty.
In the last life, Amosta lived for more than twenty years, and in this life, he has spent more than twenty years in the world of magic, to be honest, for him, the world he is in now is more like a real thing to him, and in the previous life, it is more like a dream, if he really let Amosta make a choice, he will definitely be willing to live in the present-
But the way home.
What he had experienced was the most mysterious and incredible even in the world of magic, and how could a great magician like him, who was already at the top of the magic path and was waiting for the opportunity to go further, not investigate the secrets behind all this?
Thinking of going further, Amosta's brow was stained with a few more sorrows.
The level of strength he is currently in is a saint even further. According to Centaur Elder Horn, after the battle between King Arthur, Merlin, and Morgan Lefy, the magical world accelerated away from Earth, and no one was able to reach that legendary level anymore.
Amosta didn't quite agree with Horn's statement, at least, the founding four of Hogwarts were certainly not in the same dimension as his strength, that is, the Big Four could still leave their mark on that wonderful magical world with their strong spiritual power, but that was a thousand years ago after all.
In today's wizarding world, the highest level is undoubtedly Albus Dumbledore. Amosta thought that Dumbledore, who was at the top of the world, had reached that step, but now it seems that it may not be, Dumbledore is indeed stronger than him, but his power seems to be far from the rumored saints.
As for Voldemort and Gatler Grindelwald, who had been in Nürgamond for more than half a century, they were only a few minutes apart from him, but their respective paths were different, so there was a slight difference in the offensive power they showed, and if it was a battle of life and death, whether it was Voldemort or Grindelwald, Amosta would not be afraid.
But then again, a wizard as talented as Dumbledore has never been able to cross that hurdle in his lifetime, so what about himself?
Bang--
Just as Amosta was imagining the future, a ripple suddenly rippled in the dead air in the office, and a house-elf suddenly appeared in front of Amosta.
It's Ruijia!
Something terrible seemed to have happened to the little elf, and when it landed, it had a panicked expression, and instead of the usual deference and humility in front of the wizard, it scrambled down at Amosta's desk, tears in its tennis ball-sized eyes, and stammered,
"Mr. Boo, Mr. Bryan, please, please. Please—"
Amosta's expression immediately became serious, and he got up from his seat and said in a deep voice,
"Calm down, Ruijia, what's going on?"
"Kind Mr. Bryan, please save Winter"
There was a large string of clear snot hanging from Ruijia's big nose, and she said subconsciously, however, at the end of the pleading, she seemed to regain a little reason,
"Kitchen--whew. The famous Harry Potter, a school warrior, and a red-haired boy who is in danger and they asked me to come to you! ”
Professor Sinista's use of Professor Blaine to encourage the students to invest more enthusiasm in astronomy class did help, but the little wizards' burning pillows soon died out in the cold wind that was whirring and really like knives on the astronomical observatory.
Even Hermione, in this terrible environment, couldn't devote her attention to the lesson, and was like everyone else, so cold that she wanted to huddle in a ball.
The only cheers in the class were Professor Sinista announcing the end of the class, and the young wizards trembling down the homework they needed to turn in before the next class on the parchment on which they recorded the planets' positions, and then rushed down the stargazing platform one by one.
"Oh!"
The Hufflepuff students needed to go back to their basement, and Ron waved goodbye to Ernie before wiping a handful from under Harry's nose. The sudden pain made Harry jump, and he covered his nose and glared at Ron angrily, not understanding what he was up to.
"Your snot--"
Ron shrugged innocently and showed Harry an ice skate,
"I'm just going to take it down for you--"
"Thank you!"
Harry said indignantly,
"But I could have found a torch to roast my nose!"
Hermione laughed at the sight until the Gryffindors behind them had outtaken them, and she was still clutching her stomach and giggling.
"It's not funny, Hermione--"
Harry said in annoyance, his nose aching so badly that it seemed as if Ron was ripping his upper lip away as he removed his snot
,
"Everyone's gone, let's go back and get warm in the common room, so that Ron won't have to take something from your nose later!"
"Oh"
Ron was still grinning, but Hermione stopped laughing at Harry's greeting, and her eyes flickered
"Ahem, let's go back first, I still have something to do-"
"Are you going to tell us that you're going to go to the library now?"
Ron threw the somewhat melted ice skate out of the porch and wiped his hands on Harry's robe, and said in surprise,
"Don't, you're going to freeze to death outside."
"I've already told you why—"
Hermione had no intention of listening to persuasion, she slung her heavy bag over her shoulders, retracted her frozen hands into her sleeves, and said firmly,
"I'm going home for Christmas break, which means I won't be able to look up any information for a whole week, and I can't study at home that the strange sounds inside the golden eggs will freak out my mom and dad, so I have to hurry now, or I'll be too far behind!"
With that, before Harry and Ron could speak, Hermione hurried down the stairs where the Hufflepuff classmates had just descended.
Looking at Hermione's back as she quickly walked away, for some reason, Harry felt a strange feeling in his heart, and just as he was thinking about what was wrong, a strong cold wind blew from outside the corridor beside him, which froze his thoughts all of a sudden, and Ron shivered violently a few times,
"Shhh
Ron's voice was shaking from the cold, he gave Harry a look, and then, with two shrunken heads, walked quickly in the direction of the Gryffindor Tower,
"If you want me to say, she doesn't have to work so hard, does she, this isn't a final exam, she has to take first place, as long as she knows what the prompt is before the second competition, it's no problem at all-"
"At least she could have had more time to prepare, if they still had her to deal with something as dangerous as a fire dragon—"
Harry said objectively,
"Obviously, Hermione had been thinking she had cheated in the first game, you know, Ron, that thought must have tormented her enough, so, she was desperate to prove herself--"
"That's why I said she didn't have to—"
Turning a corner, Ron shook his head and said disapprovingly,
"If it's cheating to find out in advance that it's a fire dragon to deal with, then Cedric, Krum, and Fleur aren't clean. Didn't Professor Moody tell her that asking for information was part of the game—"
"Hermione's concern is not the fire dragon, but winter. Wait, Ron! ”
Harry was about to tell Ron that Hermione cared about Dom pilling over the Chinese Fireball Dragon she was meant to deal with, but at the mention of Tom, a bolt of lightning struck Harry's head, and he froze in place.
"What's wrong?"
Ron paused, puzzled.
"Hermione told us she was going to the library?" Harry's brow furrowed.
"That's what she said--" Ron blinked, "weren't we discussing this?" ”
"But that's not the way to the library. She followed the Hufflepuff men, and it was down to the foyer on the first floor."
Harry said blankly, in the leaky hallway, the two boys looked at each other, and then, suddenly, in a second, the two of them jumped up in unison, turning and rushing in the direction they were coming.
