Chapter 660: Constraints
The conversation between Helga Hufflepuff and Rowena Ravenclaw seemed to Harry and Harry to be exciting enough, and if scholars thousands of years later knew that there was such a secret relationship between the two founders of Hogwarts, it would be unclear what kind of uproar would erupt.
But for Rowena and Helga, it seemed like just a small talk between girlfriends.
When the islands of the North Sea and the terrifying creatures on them were mentioned, Helga and Rowena's expressions became much more serious, and the unprovoked power of the two witches made them regain the majesty of the legendary witch and founder in the eyes of Harry!
But what is it?
Hermione immediately had a guess, and she looked at Professor Blaine, but unfortunately, this time Professor Blaine didn't kindly answer their questions, and he himself listened with a calm face.
Rowena Ravenclaw did not speak, and under the gaze of the crowd, a wand quietly appeared in her hand, and she left her seat and walked to the vacant office space, and as the wand deftly streaked through the space, a silver-white bird emerged from the tip of the wand and hovered under the low ceiling.
"That's the Patronus!"
Harry said immediately.
The Patronus Charm was a spell Harry had learned from Remus the last year to guard against the Dementors, and it was the most profound of all the magic he had mastered.
"Exactly like the one on the crest of Ravenclaw College!"
Ron also puffed out his cheeks in surprise.
Lady Ravenclaw summoned her Patronus, the light in Hermione's brown pupils, which further confirmed her suspicion that the island in the North Sea that Ms. Hufflepuff was talking about was Azkaban, and that the terrifying creatures were Dementors!
As the Ravenclaw wand settled, the majestic eagle hovering in mid-air suddenly stopped in mid-air, its head raised and its crisp cry, and a shadow wrapped in white light shot out of the bird's beak.
Upon encountering the air, the shadow quickly grew larger, transforming into a creature as terrifying as the Grim Reaper in a black cloak, and the mere mere sight of it made people feel chills!
Bang!
Harry's face changed and he slammed his back against the wall as he retreated, but he didn't know the pain, he quickly reached for his wand, and gasped for breath to aim at the Dementors!
"Don't be nervous, brother, it's fake!"
Ron grabbed Harry's wrist and said quickly.
Fake
Looking at the patronus in front of him, which was wrapped in a milky white screen of light from the mouth of Lady Ravenclaw's patronus, allowing it to rush left and right, and the barrier was not funny, Harry was stunned, and then his face was furious.
The Dementors were too much of an influence on him, and at the end of his adventure with Hermione to rescue Sirius from the Forbidden Forest last year, Sirius was discovered by dozens of Dementors sent by the Ministry of Magic. Sirius and Hermione were in a coma, leaving him alone to face the horrible Dementors, and Harry was sure it would be the most desperate two minutes of his life.
Harry looked nervously at Professor Blaine, and when he saw that Professor Blaine was not displeased with his ridiculous actions, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief, clutched his pounding heart, and continued to watch.
"Have you tried to continue destroying it, Rowena?"
Ms. Hufflepuff also left her seat and came to Ravenclaw's side. Even though it wasn't the first time Rowena had shown them it, the Hufflepuff lady was still stark at the sight of the Dementors, and her tone was tinged with anger.
"I've tried a lot--"
Ms. Ravenclaw said in a voice as clear as a fountain of ice,
"Consistent with the results of our previous discussion, this form resembles the existence of a ghost-like creature between life and death, it is both illusory and real, close to the rules, ordinary magic cannot cause any damage to it, I have tried many times, including the use of some ancient magic, among the magic that can have a suppressive effect on it, the best effect is the Patronus--"
That's to be expected, Hufflepuff
The lady didn't look surprised, but whispered,
"So, the only way to do that is the one we discussed—"
Miss Ravenclaw bowed slightly, but Amosta's brow furrowed.
During his trip to Azkaban, Amosta followed the memories of Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, and the two founders discussed the topic at the time. They had stated that they had to destroy the Dementors, and Amosta had wondered about it.
These Dementors are made from empty shells left behind by wizards who have split souls many times to create Horcruxes, and in order to complement themselves, these shells absorb all the good emotions of living beings, and use the emotions of living beings as a feed to create more of their kind.
No creature with an independent soul would like a Dementor, but Amosta never understood why the four founders of Hogwarts were so obsessed with destroying Dementors.
Just because this creature is evil? I'm afraid the truth won't be that simple.
In her previous memories, Gryffindor and Ravenclaw had mentioned that Miss Hufflepuff had received some revelations, presumably foreseeing the possibility of Helmo returning to the world, and that if it happened, it would be devastating.
Merlin and the Big Four have a number of arrangements to prevent this from happening, so there must be a necessary connection between destroying the Dementors and stopping Helbo.
Amosta's brain was spinning fast, but there was always a thin film between him and the truth!
"It's just time to leave this important matter to you—"
Ravenclaw said calmly,
"But it's also a very important thing to restrain the number and behavior of this creature, I thought about putting a seal based on soul power around that island, but that doesn't make sense, after we die, the soul power will dissipate, they will immediately lose their restraint, and sooner or later, they will leave the island because they want to absorb more emotions."
"What's your solution, Rowena?"
Airplanes--
Ravenclaw raised his wand again, and in the intricate spell that even Amosta had seen, Ravenclaw's ice-blue pupils bloomed, and the outline of his body also emitted a sky-blue shimmer, and in the void, an illusory paper wrapped in green light gradually appeared.
Whoa!
After the paper was formed, suddenly, dozens of chains of green light emerged from the paper, and in an instant, the Dementors were encircled, and the locks shook like poisonous snakes, staring at the Dementors.
The already restless Dementor was terrified by the chains, floating in the small space within the light screen, and beneath the cloak, emitting a rancid stench
