Chapter 667: Krum's Finger
Looking at Hermione, who was still a little dazed, Amosta patiently explained,
"At the beginning of this school year, the school sent a notice to students from the fourth grade and onwards asking you to bring a dress for this prom—"
Hermione immediately remembered that when she and Harry went to Hogsmeade to meet Sirius, Harry had accidentally collided with the warriors of Beauxbatons, and Fleur was injured at the time, and in order to apologize, Professor Bryan also bought a dress for her and Harry to send over
At that time, she did wonder why Professor Bryan would think of giving a dress as a gift, in the first place to prepare for the Yule Ball!
"But there's been no official announcement—" Hermione said with a plaintive look on her face, "We don't know, Professor Brian"
"Now you already know, don't you?"
Amosta lifted the corners of his mouth, glancing at Krum, who was slightly nervous, and he added,
"Remember what I said, Miss Granger, the ball was opened by the four Warriors and their dance partners, and we don't ask for the other little wizards to attend the ball, but the warriors have to find their mates. It's a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament, and I'm sure it's not a problem for you good young people—"
Looking at Hermione, who pursed her lips and didn't speak, Amosta smiled slightly,
"So. That's it, sorry to interrupt your conversation, you two, I have other things, go first, you can continue to talk, but--"
Amosta looked at the book in Hermione's arms again, which made Hermione tighten her arms,
"Studying is important, but the combination of work and rest is even more important, don't 'waste' your youth in the library, such a good weather, I suggest you can go for a walk outside on the field--"
He's such a nice guy --
Looking at the back of Professor Bryne in the distance, Krum thought with affection. However, remembering the pattern on the first sheet of the pile of manuscripts that Professor Bryan was holding, his brow furrowed again.
Professor Bryan didn't reprimand herself for investigating privately, which made Hermione breathe a sigh of relief, but the thought of what she had just learned about the prom and her partner made Hermione's face flush from her cheeks to the tips of her ears, and her boot-wrapped toes were clasping the ground to see if she could dig through the floor.
It's just embarrassing!
There are almost no little wizards in the library today, and Hermione, who has found some materials that may have clues, is ready to spend the whole day in this satisfying reading environment, but unexpectedly, Krum suddenly walked into the library.
Maybe it was the jubilation on the snow outside, the huge star-chasing cluster that had fallen behind Krum's ass in the past did not appear, and Krum was stunned at first after seeing him, and then he ran over happily and invited himself out to talk.
Hermione thought Krum was going to discuss the Golden Egg with her!
Because of the first project, she didn't want to accept help from other people, and she was also prepared that if Krum really opened the topic, then she would decisively refuse, but unexpectedly, as soon as Krum opened his mouth, he coldly invited him to be a dance partner at the Santa Ball, and before she could figure things out, Professor Brian walked out-
Well, now she knows the ins and outs of this.
It was so unexpected for her.
Hermione didn't think that Krum couldn't find anyone to accompany him to the prom. How popular the boy in front of him is, even if he doesn't have those two crazy Quidditch-obsessed friends around him, just looking at Krum's fan group, Hermione knows it!
But he actually found himself. Hermione felt like her ears were already smoking, and by heart, she had a good sense of Krum.
During the Quidditch Final Night riot in the summer, she was barricaded in the top box with Harry, Sirius, and the Weasleys, and when she asked for help from the Bulgarian Quidditch team, only Krum answered her cries for help. And before the first event of the previous championship, Krum also gave her some reminders.
But what would Harry and Ron say if they knew about it?
"I don't understand."
Hermione, with flushed cheeks, stared down at her toes and whispered.
"I don't understand how a wizard like Mr. Bryan could be."
Krum's muffled answer made Hermione look up in surprise, and she found that Krum was still staring in the direction of Professor Bryne's departure, and the ground hole of the natural gloom was full of solemnity and disbelief.
Hermione immediately understood that what she and Krum were talking about was not the same thing at all.
"What are you talking about, Victor?"
The shyness on Hermione's face faded, and her astuteness returned to her bright brown eyes.
"Oh, I mean—"
Krum looked a little hesitant, but in the face of a girl he admired so much, he decided to tell the truth.
After confirming that there was no one left and right, Krum lowered his voice, looking nervous and confused,
"I don't understand, a wizard as powerful as Mr. Amosta Blaine. How can you worship the Dark Lord? ”
"Professor Bryan worships mystery men?"
Hermione shouted almost in a screaming tone, her eyebrows furrowed, her beautiful brown eyes staring at Wickdor with incredulity and anger, as if he would not give up without giving a clear explanation.
"Oh, it's not!"
Krum hurriedly waved his hand,
"It's not the Mystery Man, we're not used to calling the Dark Wizard in your country the Dark Lord, I mean--" Krum's tone was gloomy, "It's Gatler Grindelwald--"
Gatler Grindelwald?!
Hermione, who was in a state of high spirits, only took a second to gather all the information about the wizard in her head, which was not as difficult as the Nicola Lemay that she and Harry and Ron had found in her first year, and the name was almost tied to their headmaster, even Professor Blaine, who was now famous in the wizarding world, could not completely squeeze out his brilliance.
Many would consider the defeat of Gatler Grindelwald to be one of the most remarkable of Professor Dumbledore's storied lifetimes.
But Professor Bryan adores Gatler Grindelwald?
It doesn't seem to be much less ridiculous than Professor Blaine's worship of the mystery man!
"Did you notice the striking pattern on the first page of the pile of parchment he was holding in his arm?"
"What?"
Krum's tone was unpleasant, however, Hermione's tone was more blunt than his, I don't know why, she didn't like Krum a little now, so she knew what Krum was referring to, but she pretended not to see it.
"That's the pattern!"
Krum gestured his finger a few times in the void in front of Hermione, his face gloomy,
"If someone else shows that sign in front of me, I swear, Hermione, I'll duel him!"
"What's wrong, is there anything wrong with that pattern?"
Not happy, Hermione had to admit that she was a little curious about it.
"Grindelwald, that's the Grindelwald logo!"
The muscles on Krum's cheeks squirmed, as if chewing something, and then he said,
"Grindelwald killed a lot of people, my grandfather was one of them, of course, he had no influence in the country, they said he was afraid of Dumbledore - yes, just look at what happened to him, but the symbol--"
Krum gestured to Hermione again,
"--It's a Grindelwald logo, and I recognize it at a glance. In case you don't know, Grindelwald learned magic at Durmstrang, and when he was studying there, he carved it into a wall, and I passed under that wall every day, and I couldn't mistake it."
Krum said coldly,
"In school, there were fools who copied the symbol in their textbooks, on their clothes, and tried to scare others and make themselves look great by using it – and then those of us who lost loved ones to Grindelwald taught them some lessons.
But we all know that outside of school, stupid guys like this have actually always existed, and even quite a few. They still gather under this sign as a spiritual symbol. They are nostalgic for the dark days when the wizarding world was ruled by Grindelwald, and they fantasize about one day being able to live a life of mischief."
