Chapter 738: How to War
Although the happy Christmas holiday has passed, the students have clearly not escaped the effects of the holiday, and most of the students have been in a state of limbo for the whole week, as experienced professors have long anticipated.
So, in the first week of the course, except for two Slytherin professors who left their homework very disappointingly, the other professors did not leave any heavy schoolwork, allowing the students to spend a relaxing weekend.
For older students, this weekend is even more worth looking forward to, because this weekend is an open day in Hogsmeade, and the children who have gone home to get some pocket money can't wait to spend some money.
In the afternoon, the atmosphere in the castle was noticeably much more lively.
The fourth-year Gryffindor students only had two classes in the afternoon, and after taking herb lessons with Hufflepuff, Harry and the three of them went to visit Hagrid and Tum at the edge of the Forbidden Forest.
They shared with Hagrid the pleasant few days they had spent in Grimmauld Place, but didn't tell him that they had made a trip to Professor Bryan with Sirius and Remus.
But when they asked Hagrid how he passed the vacation, Hagrid, who had been smiling, suddenly turned red and couldn't say why, which undoubtedly aroused Harry's interest, but Hagrid didn't want to say more anyway, but deliberately led the topic to Hermione's attitude towards saving the elves.
"I see you've been less keen on convincing Tim to get vacation and paycheck lately, Hermione?"
Hagrid said with a smile.
Although they knew that Hagrid was diverting the subject, Harry and Ron were successfully led away by Hagrid, and they immediately looked at Hermione, who was reading a book against the clock, to hear what she had to say.
"Oh-"
Hermione raised her head, glanced at the three people who were looking at her playfully, not only did she not get angry, but raised her head proudly,
"That's because I had other plansβ"
"You've formed a new organization, Hermione?"
Harry asked, smacking his tongue, his face speechless.
"Actually, you just gave up, didn't you?"
But Hermione played with secrecy again, and no matter how much they asked, she didn't want to say more, and even when Ron grinned and irritated her as they left Hagrid's hut, she only glanced at Ron.
The cold wind howled on the snow-covered lawn, and after a miserable Christmas holiday, the soft snow layer had evolved into an icy state under the low temperature, and the ice made a creaking sound when you stepped on it.
Harry, who arrived at the Quidditch pitch, looked up at the towering clubs and suddenly felt the urge to fly for a while.
This school year is really painful for a little wizard like Harry who loves Quidditch, and although Triwizard Tournament is fun, there is always a lack of soul without Quidditch matches.
"Hey, it's coldβ"
Ron's gasping voice trembled,
"Don't be in a daze, Harry, hurry up and run, and when you're done with dinner, you'll have to tell me about today's PE class!"
Harry buried his head, wrapped his scarf, and walked away.
Ron had at least reminded him that if he flew into the sky in this weather, he would probably freeze into ice.
In fact, Hermione was obviously better at teaching Ron than Harry, but the problem was that after the Christmas break, the second game at the end of February was suddenly much closer.
Although she had now figured out the hidden hints in the golden egg, it didn't solve the actual problem.
How to spend an hour in the water, she will encounter those obstructive mermaids, Grindy Low, Kaba underwater, and of course, if the big squid is also one of the obstacles, then Hermione thinks that passing the game is basically useless.
Also, about the sentence in the hint - we will take your beloved baby. So what could it be?
These questions have been bothering her since the holidays, and until now, she has no clear answers.
Anxiety forced Hermione to read more frantically than ever, and by the time the three of them returned to the common room and Harry began to tell Ron about today's PE lesson, the books around her were as tall as a freshman.
Everyone who passed nearby looked in amazement at Hermione, who was reading two books at the same time, and still had words in her mouth.
"Hermione, Hermione?!"
Harry screamed several times before he woke up Hermione, who was immersed in the world of books.
"What?"
Hermione said impatiently, still refusing to take her eyes off the two books that were as thick as bricks on her lap.
"What do you think Lee Jordan's speculation today-"
Harry was a little helpless, but he did want an answer,
"That's the question Professor Brian had at the end of the course. Is he suggesting that we ask him for a note? β
"Actually--"
It was an obvious question, but Hermione was reluctant to answer it, because it was suspected of slandering Professor Bryan for instigating them to break the law, but Harry and Ron kept chattering and asking, Hermione sighed and closed the book in front of her, her eyes showing a little confusion and some worry.
Instead of answering Harry's question, she frowned slightly and said softly,
"I'm even more curious about these dueling training from Professor Brian. Don't you ever think it's weird, Harry? β
"What?"
Both Harry and Ron showed Clearing's innocence, and after glancing at each other, Harry asked urgently.
"I'll say again about these trainings designed by Professor Brian. Don't you have, oh, well--" Hermione didn't take any further detours, she looked at Harry and Ron, "why do you think Professor Bryan is running a gym class?" β
Belch--
"Professor Bryan once said that it was to teach us systematic dueling skills, well. Let us have the ability to protect ourselves? β
Harry remembered with a frown.
"But here's the problem, Harry!"
This question seemed to have been hidden in Hermione's mind for a long time, and after Harry answered, Hermione leaned forward, her voice lowered, and her tone was fast,
"Self-preservation, yes, that's what he said, but, Harry, look at the training he's designed. I mean, from the first half of the semester, he officially taught us these training after the duel technique."
A serious glint flickered in Hermione's brown pupils,
"He asked us to form a team and all the training was done as a team. See, Harry, a duel is an act between two wizards, not a team, and suppose, let's say we are in danger outside of school after we graduate, we can't be together all the time, can we? β
Looking at Harry's condensed features, who realized something, and Ron, who still didn't quite understand, but was frightened by her tone, Hermione continued,
"Maybe you didn't realise it, Harry, today Brian taught us a new way of training, yes, he told us that he was training us how to escape in a disadvantaged situation, but he designed it. One team escaped, three teams surrounded and suppressed, and it was training at the same time."
Hermione's voice slowed down, but her tone became more solemn,
"Between different teams, how to tacitly attack, this has nothing to do with self-protection and duel!"
"What the hell are you trying to say, Hermione?"
Harry finally couldn't help himself, and he asked directly.
"I'm thinking"
Hermione slurred, avoiding Harry and Ron's eyes,
"Maybe. Maybe he's training us on how to proceed. War! β
