Chapter 834: A Perfect Ending
Although St. Mungo's therapists had expected it, the fact that the Longbottoms finally woke up from their nightmare after more than a decade of illness caused an uproar in St. Mungo, and both the long-time patients and the staff here did not want to witness the miracle with their own eyes.
Throughout the morning, the Longbottoms, their mother, and their son, who was still at Hogwarts, were being congratulated.
Some do-gooders even tried to go to the Diagon Alley newspaper office of the Daily Prophet to find a few reporters to come and expose the matter, and this proposal was echoed by many, but in the end Dumbledore stopped him.
"Please don't do that, Sitareth--"
Dumbledore said mildly to a diminutive old man in a healer's green robe,
"As I've already emphasized, Amosta and I can't make a big deal about Frank and Alice's treatment, but if this is publicized by the Daily Prophet, I'm afraid Hogwarts will be overcrowded with the families of the unfortunate wizards."
"People will always know, Albus!"
Sitareth, who is quite prestigious among therapists, said resentfully,
"This is an epoch-making feat, the wizarding world should know what a miracle you have accomplished, you and Brian's chocolate frog quilt should be stamped with this great achievement, and the Merlin Sir Troupe should give you and Brian a medal of the first class in an entire oak barrel!"
"Oh-"
Dumbledore's silver beard fluttered and he laughed,
"It may sound good, but I'm pretty sure that neither I nor Amosta need these fames."
Dumbledore still used his 'supreme authority' to silence the matter, and of course, the gossip was bound to be all over the place.
"Hmm"
By the time Amosta had awoken from his slumber, Sunset had rendered a lazy flush on the white wall opposite the bed, and after a few blinks, the fog quickly dissipated from his eyes, and his purple eyes became purer than ever.
With his fingertips brushing the corners of his eyes, Amosta quietly felt the change in himself.
Everything became clearer in his eyes, as if he had been looking at the world through the gray lenses before, and now, the dust on the lenses had disappeared, and everything was clear.
"Barrier--"
Amosta raised his hand, like a wave of water, and his fingers swiped through the void space in front of him, and it was unbelievable that the light that shone into the room was like a real silk thread, and it really distorted with Amosta's fingertips.
Like a child with a new toy, Amosta watched with interest, constantly stirring the air, and with his gentle movements, the void of magic rippled in the closed hospital room, and the breeze appeared out of thin air.
As if he had realized, Amosta's eyes fell on the toothbrush cup placed at the head of the bed, he didn't take out his wand, just shook his fingertips at the cup a few times, and thenβ
The azure cup suddenly trembled, intensifying, and in a rapidly rotating phantom, the cup twisted into a small white snake the thickness of a thumb.
Hiss β
The lifelike little snake curled up, and then, it suddenly bounced up and pounced on Amosta, and in mid-air, its tail flexibly wrapped around Amosta's wrist, like a bracelet on his wrist, blinking its smart vertical pupils, looking at Amosta affectionately.
"Interesting--"
Amosta smiled and muttered to himself,
"The growth of soul power has directly brought about a significant increase in spiritual power, and maybe one day, I will be able to completely throw away my wand."
After playing with the little snake for a while, Amosta spread his hands and looked at the little snake,
"Go ahead."
After a few circles around Amosta's wrist, the little white snake obediently let go of its body, quickly swam along the futon to the end of the bed, down the bedpost, and disappeared into the shadow of the bed.
After watching the little snake leave, Amosta looked out of the door, got up and put on his clothes, and waved to the door.
"Come in, guys."
The Longbottom family, one by one, walked in one after another, and perhaps to create a chance for them to be thanked individually, Hermione, Sirius, and Tonks were still waiting outside the door.
"I don't know how to thank you, Amosta!"
I haven't seen her for a day, and the old lady Longbottom seems to be twenty years younger, her waist is straighter than ever, her voice is loud, the wrinkles on her cheeks have dissipated a little, and the remaining fine lines are also exuding vitality, but she still likes to go straight as before, she walked directly to Amosta by the bedside, took the initiative to take Amosta's hand and shook it vigorously, for a long time,
"You get Frank and Alice back to health, and Neville can live with his mom and dad. I've always known that this kid has always dreamed of having such a life, and I, Amosta, whatever you want to do in the future, the Longbottom family will unswervingly support you! β
Amosta withdrew his somewhat sore palm and smiled,
"I'm just doing what I can and think is right, Augusta."
"yes, I expected you to say that."
The corners of Mrs. Longbottom's mouth tilted slightly, and she looked at Amosta's eyes with a bright eye,
"Like Dumbledore, noble but like I said, the Longbottom family will always have your back, as long as you don't plan to become the Dark Lord!"
"Grandma!"
Neville said with a little dissatisfaction,
"Professor Bryan will never be the Dark Lord!"
Amosta looked at Neville with a little surprise in his eyes, this child had always been weak under the strict education of Old Lady Longbottom, and had always been the object of ridicule at Hogwarts, but now, as if he had been reborn, he had the courage to speak to his grandmother like this.
"Oh, I'm just using an analogy, Neville."
Mrs. Longbottom smiled at Neville.
Amosta chuckled, her eyes falling on Frank and Alice, each with one hand on Neville's shoulder.
Unlike the withered appearance of the hospital bed, the couple who had been in a state of confusion for more than ten years looked radiant, like Sirius who had untied their hearts after escaping from Azkaban, and their eyes were full of hope and vitality.
"So."
Amosta looked at the two heroes from the last wizarding war with a gentle face,
"How's it like to feel awake again, two?"
When they first regained consciousness, Amosta and the two of them had already communicated briefly, and they both knew who the young man in front of them was, and after a day, under the narration of many people's gossip, they finally figured out what a great guy the young wizard who pulled them out of their nightmares was!
"To be honest, it's not too good,"
Unlike in his sick state, the newborn Frank is a gentle and funny wizard, and he smiles briskly.
'I slept and then I found out that I was a teenager and the worst part was that after all this time, England still hadn't made it to the World Cup final.
Everyone laughed softly, including Sirius and the others outside the door.
"But there's something to celebrate, isn't it, Frank?"
Alice brushed Neville's sideburns, looked at her child with infinite love, and said softly,
"I'm glad we didn't miss Neville's coming-of-age ceremony. Oh no, from now on, we won't miss every birthday in your life until we die from this world. β
"That's going to be a long time coming, Mom."
Neville said with a smile.
This family reunion was a happy scene that made Amosta very emotional.
It had only been half a month since he left Hogwarts, but Amosta felt that a long time had passed, but fortunately, the accidents had a good ending, and he had to prepare for the more difficult challenges in the next short time.
