Having an education does not mean having everything

It is true that in this society, a certain diploma is still required, but the diploma represents only academic qualifications, which means that you have learned these knowledge, and whether you can apply what you have learned depends on your ability. In fact, the diploma is not the most important, the ability is the most important.

A diploma may be a "stepping stone" for you to enter the workplace, but it is by no means a driving force for social progress, and society needs people who have both ability and integrity, knowledge and ability. A gold-plated diploma alone is not enough to propel you to success, and without genuine skills, society will also eliminate you.

Once upon a time, there was a "research fever" in society. Time has passed, and today's enterprises and institutions have become much more rational. This is because the "high diplomas" they recruited before were some of them high-minded and low-handed, only picking senior management positions, but not having the ability to work hard, which caused a great burden on the company. As a result, enterprises and institutions are now paying more and more attention to capabilities. Hans graduated from Harvard University, where he excelled in finance and accounting, which is in high demand in investment banks, and he wants to work in the financial field. But in several interviews, he failed one by one. In school, he was indeed a top honors, but for some reason, he had stage fright during the interview, and Harvard's eloquence training course didn't seem to work well for him. What's even more annoying is that even second-rate companies that can be hired by students with average grades ignore it. In the end, on the list of companies he prepared for interviews, there was only one local company left. Battered by successive setbacks, Hans thought negatively: I spent my college years on the outskirts of this city, so what's wrong with coming back here?

As soon as the interview began, Hans felt a good atmosphere like never before – the interviewer was an approachable young man and had a good relationship with his alma mater, so the two of them had a very good conversation. Hans thought to himself: this time it should be fine!

However, when the interviewer asked, "What is your starting point for wanting to join our company?"

To be honest, he didn't expect to come to this last candidate company for an interview, so he was very ill-prepared and knew very little about the company. In his panic, he could only use his knowledge of investment banking to deal with the situation, and there was no doubt that he had made another fatal mistake. As soon as his words fell, the interviewer stood up silently, opened the door, and made a "please" gesture: "I'm sorry, our company is not an investment bank, it was not before, it is not now, and we do not plan to become an investment bank in the future." But I was really taken aback by what you said. You're the first person to confuse us with investment banking so far. Keep in mind that our firm is one of the few asset management firms in the United States, and I don't know how you graduated from Harvard. After a long time out of the company, the interviewer's words still echoed in Hans's ears...... There are not a few Harvard graduates who have had a similar experience to Hans, and they can often find a job of their own, but not by virtue of their own outstanding ability, as one might think, relying on Harvard's diploma.

Ability is the best guarantee for survival, and it is the most reliable and effective pass in the workplace. With the development of society and the increasingly fierce competition, those incompetent people who do not want to forge ahead and only know how to "sleep lazily with a diploma" will be eliminated by the society sooner or later. Therefore, if you want to be invincible in life, from now on, you must face yourself, get rid of the misconception that "a diploma is everything", recharge yourself with actions, and add points to yourself with ability.
