10. Learn to refuse and treat some people and things coldly
In reality, there are always some pretentious people, narrow-minded and vicious, pointing fingers at others behind their backs or in the corners, judging their heads, and even making things out of nothing, slandering and framing others. For such a person who is completely harmful to us and useless, we must dig a deep trench between ourselves and him, so as to prevent him from coming into close contact with us and making some moves.
During the Western Zhou Dynasty, Jiang Taigong was named the King of Qi for assisting the martial king Ji to destroy Yin. At that time, there was a scholar in the Qi State, and the people praised him for his virtue, but he was determined not to serve the Son of Heaven or make friends with the princes. The prince summoned him again and again, but he did not come.
So the prince killed him. Zhou Gongdan was very shocked by this and asked why he killed him?
The prince replied, "If Hua Shi is determined not to serve the Son of Heaven and not to make friends with the princes, can I still use him as a minister or make friends with him?" From this point of view, he was first and foremost a useless man; Second, repeated failure to summon is a manifestation of disobedient people. If this person is set up as an example, will it not be difficult for me to stand on my feet and do things? ”
From then on, there were no lazy subjects in the Qi Kingdom.
Coincidentally, hundreds of years later, Confucius did something similar:
Shao Zhengmao was a scholar of great learning, a contemporary of Confucius. He even had the tendency to overwhelm Confucius and take away his disciples on several occasions. Later, Confucius became the secretary of the Lu State and killed Shaozheng Mao. So Confucius's disciple Zigong Jin saw and said: "Shaozheng Mao Nailu is a famous man in the country, isn't it a big mistake for you to kill him?" ”
Confucius replied, "There are five great evils in man, but thieves are not among them." One is to behave in a desolate and stubborn manner; the second is that the heart is changeable and vicious;
the third is to peep into people's privacy and know everything; Fourth, the rhetoric is hypocritical and clever and decorative; Fifth, it is suitable for the current and high-sounding. These five, if there is a pair of the number, it will not be tolerated in the power of the gentleman, now the young man has both, this is the villain of the hero, should be punished.
”
Shao Zhengmao was able to take advantage of the opportunity to incite the disciples of Confucius to abandon their teachers and abandon their virtuous people, could such a person work with him in the imperial court? The reason why Confucius was ruthless was not only because Shao Zhengmao was able to make clever remarks about chaos in politics for a while, but also to remind future generations to be vigilant in order to prevent such dangerous elements from "killing people" with their tongues.
In our actual life today, we can adopt a "cold" and "defensive" attitude towards people or things that are not worth making friends with or are trivial, trivial, useless, and even extremely harmful, dig deep "trenches" for ourselves, and "respect" them so that we can have better and more spirit and time to do more practical things.
When necessary, we may wish to engage in "trench warfare" in the following ways.
(1) You may wish to be indifferent to unreasonable demands.
You might as well be indifferent to the unreasonable demands of others. There are two kinds of such people: one is to know that it is unreasonable and bully you into weakness, if you give him an inch, he will ask for a foot; On the other hand, there is no self-knowledge, this kind of person, if you are indifferent to him, he will carefully consider whether his request is appropriate.
(2) For gossip, you might as well take it as the wind in your ears.
When Xiao Yang just graduated from university, he was full of enthusiasm for work and communication, which aroused the favor of many colleagues and bosses, and also made some colleagues start to gossip behind their backs, what "can really slip", what "eight-sided exquisite", what "really can show".
What if this happens to us? In a fit of rage, jump out of the "trench" and fight with the other party? It's not worth it at all, the hemp ball will only get more and more messy. What to do? It is good to take those gossip as if you are the wind in your ears, as long as you can meditate on whether there are any of these mistakes, and if so, you can correct them, and at the same time pay attention to strengthening the "fortifications".
(3) To those who are arrogant, you might as well be cold.
Most people, if you are enthusiastic about him, he is also enthusiastic about you, and if you greet him with a smile, he will also be full of spring breeze for you. There are also some people, the more you take the initiative to associate with them, the more they will be arrogant, and you might as well be cold to this kind of person.
It is indeed important for us to learn the trench tactics of cold handling and rejection of people. Especially for people who have just started their careers, if they are entangled in some redundant and trivial personnel, they will not only waste time, but also consume their will, so that they will be sour before they can hit their fists; And it may also lead to the tragic result of unknowingly falling for the villain's trick, being seriously injured, and even "dying before leaving the school".
