Volume II, Chapter XVIII
"What did you say?"
"Okay, okay...... I'm on your side......"
The two dark shadows turned and walked away.
When she returned to her room, Miss Dill Merlin did not light the lamp, but took off her robe and went to bed, and then released a small lighting spell in her bed.
In the white light of the illumination, she took out the black iron dagger from her bosom and played with it in her hand, touched the silk thread on the handle, pulled out the blade a little bit and inserted it back in. She has been playing such a game for a long time, but she has not gotten tired of it in the slightest.
"I sue you, nasty fellow, clumsy robber," she said proudly into the dagger, "I have found a good opportunity, and I will soon be able to return to Vamp in the open! When the time comes, I will take your right hand, seal your mouth, and put my head against your left hand...... If you dare to scratch my hair, I'll make you regret it for the rest of your life!"
After thinking about it for a long time, and not thinking about what good way to make him regret it for the rest of his life, Miss Dill Merlin decided to go to bed first. She pulled a box from under her pillow and opened it, trying to put the dagger inside, only to see that the blond hair was missing in a clump of hair.
"Huh, gone?" she tilted her head in thought, "You're not going to run away from home, are you?"
In a moment, Miss Dill Merlin's eyes widened as she pulled out a clump of black hair from the box.
"What's the matter? I'm just talking about you, and I didn't think of how to make you regret it for the rest of your life, and you became angry and turned black?" and remembered that the guy with the masked face was about to snatch his hairband before leaving, "Your personality is as stingy as your master, it's really nerve-wracking!"
Lovely Miss Dill Merlin didn't expect that. on the entire continent. Only one person has hair of this color. And this person. I'm nervous to death in the room right now.
β»β»β»Perhaps because she was too tired last night, Miss Dill Merlin overslept, and was awakened by the servant almost noon.
"How's the weather to-day?" she sprang up from her bed, walking barefoot on the floor, and asked her maid, "what about my father? β
Indeed, Baron Iva Merlin has been cursing every day since he lived here. He cursed in extremely vulgar words.
"The baron has guests to-day," replied the maid, "and they talked merrily in the garden. β
"Guests?" she cried, "are they still there?"
"Yes, they're still there. The maid looked at her young lady and opened the wardrobe with a "pop", took a piece of clothing and put it on her body, then took out a dagger from a box under the pillow and put it on her body, closed the door with a "pop" and walked out.
"Oh...... God," said the maid, "only the god of light knows what she wants to do." Put that thing under your pillow......"
She knew best who her father would talk happily with, and Miss Dill Merlin was furious at the thought of it. This ridiculous man had just been in debt, and as soon as he turned around, he was mixed up with these gamblers again.
After descending the "ya-ya" staircase, walking through the ruined hall, through the cloister, and turning a corner, the door to the back garden, Miss Dill Merlin decided that she must make these two men look good!
When she got to the door, Miss Dill Merlin saw a girl with a beautiful face, who was looking at herself curiously with her big eyes, and a cute white puppy in her arms.
"Who are you?" asked Miss Dill Merlin, who thought the girl was familiar, "this puppy is so cute, does it have a name?"
"Hello, I'm Lily, and the young master told me to wait here," the girl said to her, "This is a monster puppy, and it's the young master's pet, and its name is Abu." β
"Your young master?"
"yes, he's in the garden. The girl said.
Miss Dill Merlin felt that things were very strange and wrong, and she wanted to go into the flower circle to see it. Miss Dill Merlin took up her nerve and gently pushed the door open. Since the other party is a young master with a maid and a monster pet, she should be a nobleman or a rich man or something, and she doesn't want to be rude in front of such a person.
The door opened, and she saw her father's beaming face and the guest's back. From this point of view, Miss Dill Merlin can only see the guest's blonde hair tied with a silver headband and well-cut clothes.
"Oh, here you are," said Baron Eva Merlin, aloud "Mr. Turner, it is my honour to introduce you to my daughter, my pride, Dil Merlin. β
Every word of my father's words was full of life, which was very puzzling to Miss Dill Merlin.
She wondered if she should squat down slightly and give this young man who looked good a formal lady's salute, but she saw the man's face turned.
"Is that you?" said Miss Dill Merlin, who immediately straightened up, "you outburst! What are you doing at my house?"
"It's me!" said the man named Turner, gritting his teeth, "I'm here to make a deal with your father!
"Really?" said Miss Dell Merlin, who was not at all polite, "what business do you have to discuss with my family, and don't think that you can hide the fact that you are an explode by putting on a good dress!"
"What kind of business is I talking to your father, I think he is the head of the family, as for this dress......" Turner casually patted the placket of his clothes, "I bought it in your store, and the new owner gave me a fifty percent discount, do you like it?"
"The clothes are good, but the people are bad! This dress is unjust to wear on you," said Miss Dell Merlin, "what business?"
"I'm sorry, we're done," said Turner, walking outside, turning to the baron at the door, "I'm waiting for your news, you should know where to find me." β
"Goodbye! Mr. Turner. By the way, the dirt floor next to the door is a little uneven, I hope you won't mind. "The baron's smiling face is like a blooming flower, if a dog's tail flower is a flower.
Watching the guy named Turner disappear from sight, Miss Deere Merlin began to look at her father suspiciously.
"What are you doing?" she asked, "what the hell is going on!"
"Oh, my good daughter. My baby. The baron said happily. "We don't have to be in this place anymore!"
"Why?"
"That Mr. Turner will take care of all our debts! He will trade a house in the Dark City for our villa! and pay us a large sum of money!"
"Did I hear me right?" asked Miss Dill Merlin, bewildered, "is he a fool besides a hillman and an outburst? That's a lot of money!"
"He's not stupid, he's taken my most precious thing!" said Monsieur Baron, holding out a letter, "Look! Our debt has already been borne by him!
"Really?"
"Really!"
"Darkness is not a good place, but it is much stronger than here," said Miss Dill Merlin's eyes. "So what are we waiting for? Hurry up and pack up and go!"
"No, my dear, it's not us, it's me," said Monsieur Baron, looking at his daughter, "you don't go. β
"You, I'm not going?" Miss Dill Merlin couldn't figure out, "what do you mean?" β
"Well, there is a condition attached to our deal with Mr. Turner...... "Mr. Baron turned his head," he ...... I want you to marry him. β
"Marry him?"
"Yes. β
"You're not going to say yes, are you?"
"Why didn't you say yes?"
"You mean...... You sold me......"
"It's not for sale!" said Monsieur Baron. "It's not! It's just...... By the way, a girl should get married when you're your age. I didn't notice that before, it's my responsibility, and now I'm going to take on the responsibility of being a father. You see, I have chosen a good husband for you, a very rich husband!"
"You, you, you......" Miss Dill Merlin, unable to stand any longer, retreated to the wall, "I'm trying to make money...... To repay your debts, I spent all my time scheming to grab every copper coin, and as soon as I turned around, you sold me without hesitation......"
"In your way, we won't have a good life in a hundred years! it's so good that you'll have a good husband, and I'll be able to hunt in the dark fields and make some new friends. I was even able to play a few rounds on a sunny day......"
"You're not my father, you're just a brute!"
"Say whatever you want...... I'm going to have to start writing, Mr. Turner is still waiting for my reply!"
"I won't say yes...... I will never say yes!"
"I'm your father, recognized by the Temple of Light! β
Miss Dill Merlin, limp, slid down the wall to the ground, and fainted.
........................
Coen Al Keda was sitting in the hall of the castle, enjoying his lunch, which had been rearranged by Fichette. Bedroom, study, garden, a qiΔ place, richly furnished, elegant style.
"Oh no, it's broken, it's bad!" Jack rushed in from outside, "Boss is bad!"
"Boss is fine," Cohen asked, "what's wrong?"
"That girl! that's the one you went to this morning, boss!" Jack was sweating, "I've come to the door!"
"What!" Governor Cohen was taken aback, "where?"
"It's almost to the door!"
"Take these things! take them away, take them away......," Cohen walked up the stairs, "and if she does come in, tell her to come upstairs and meet me!"
Miss Dill Merlin, riding the only horse in the family, hurried towards the gates of the castle like a soldier on battle.
She soon woke up after fainting, and then grabbed her father's collar and "asked" the address of the outburst, it turned out that this guy was smuggling!
The door was open, and she threw the reins to the keeper, and without saying a word, went straight through the garden and into the hall.
It had been a long time since she had been in such a room, and Miss Diel Merlin did not have time to admire the furnishings of the hall, and her eyes were fixed on the only young samurai who remained in the hall.
"I'm looking for one named Turner. β
"Turner, oh! He's in the study," the young samurai replied to her, "upstairs! β
Miss Dill Merlin immediately went up the stairs, and halfway through it was only when she remembered that she hadn't thanked the young samurai, but it was better to think that now was not the time to be polite.
"Bang". She pushed the door open.
Turner sat at his desk. Voices are heard. Raised his head.
"You should knock on the door," he said, absentmindedly flipping through the book in his hand, "and that's rude!"
"A man like you knows how to be polite?" said Miss Deel Merlin, who was already angry, "I'm talking to you, put down your book and look at me!
"Say whatever you want," Turner said, still out the window, "you don't care how I take it." Take it backwards, take it upright, put it on your head or step on your feet!
"I'm coming," said Miss Dill Merlin, for a moment of affection, "to let you take back what you said to my father earlier!"
"You know it was between me and your father," said Turner, "and you weren't involved. β
"But you've got me in your men!" she paused, "I can't stay out of it." β
"I don't care about this," Turner looked at her and said, "I only care about how your father answers me." β
"What the hell do you want to do?" said Miss Dill Merlin. "Even if you marry me, you can't hide the fact that you are not from a noble family. In fact, it doesn't help your self-compassion at all!"
"That's my business," Turner said quietly, "listen to you, your father is ready to agree to me on this deal." β
Miss Dill Merlin was told that she was in a sore spot, but she didn't give up her efforts yet.
"Listen to me, you can abolish this tiyì, or...... Don't involve me in this deal?"
"No, I can't. β
"Why?"
"No why," he said, "or rather, it makes me happy." β
Miss Dell Merlin looked at Turner and thought she was going crazy.
"You...... You, you!" she slammed her fist on the desk, "You outburst! Downman! Layman!"
Turner stood up with a "whoosh" and slammed his fist on the desk.
"Yes, I'm just a smuggler! How's it going to be you? You're not going to have to marry me?" you have to blame for it," he was furious, "and you're destined to have this day when three clothes sell me fifteen gold coins! I'll marry you! I will scold you every day, make you do rough work every day, paint your face with mud every day, and rape you every day!"
"Phew, little man who holds a grudge," said Miss Dill Merlin, "I am not afraid of you!"
"Don't be afraid, okay, just marry and try it!" his fist sounded, "Then I will scold you with foul language every day, tell you to do rough work every day, smear your face with mud every day, and then never rape you!"
"Do you think I'm going to be fooled?" she said haughtily, "I'll go back and pack up my things and run away from home!
"Yes?" he said, "please, but you're responsible for the consequences." β
"The consequences have nothing to do with me," said Miss Dill Merlin, as she walked to the door, "whatever you do to my father. β
Turner didn't speak, but took out a large box from the drawer of his desk and threw it on the table with a "pop", and Miss Dill Merlin, who walked to the door, only glanced at it, and then couldn't take his eyes off it.
"Go, go!" said Turner, who was now a complete villain.
"How can these jewels end up in your hands?" she said, looking at the sapphire necklace in the box.
"These are very beautiful, and I paid a fortune!" Turner sat down, "but I don't care, if you, Dill Merlin, are not willing to marry me, I'll find a few women who are willing to wear them." β
"What do you mean?"
"I don't mean much!" said Turner, "and I'll go to a few filthy whores and receive their guests with necklaces, earrings, and rings!
"You!"
"I can do this kind of thing. β
"I will always look down on you," said Miss Dill Merlin, with tears in her eyes, "even if you marry me." β
"I didn't think about that," he said, putting away his jewelry, "don't say I'm lying to you, I have wives, two of whom are sisters, and one of whom is a winged elf." You, the fourth. β
Miss Dill Merlin had gone out of the room before he could finish speaking, she didn't care at all that she was the first lady, her heart was full of her mother's sapphire jewelry, she knew that he could do it, and she could not bear to let her mother's reputation be hurt in the slightest.
As she stepped out of the castle gates, a servant of the house walked in beside her. The servant had a letter in his hand, and Miss Dill Merlin knew very well what was written in it.
With a tear shed, Miss Dill Merlin brushed shoulders with her servant and her own fate.
In the room on the second floor, Cohen Kida read the letter and said to Jack beside him, "Take someone to her house, let her take a shower and change into a dress!"
.............................. The wedding ceremony is very simple, not to mention the temple offerings, not even the guests. Baron Eva Merlin didn't even say anything more to his daughter, but got into a carriage and went out into the darkness under the protection of a few samurai.
Miss Dill Merlin sat in her room, dressed in a dark blue evening gown and wearing her mother's sapphire jewelry, and the girl named Lily was always by her side.
The black iron dagger, of course, was placed beside him, and he did not leave for a moment.
What a proud man I was, Miss Dill Merlin thought, in her hometown, in the Chamber...... Every time he leaves at a banquet, he leaves behind a series of broken hearts, when will he look up to any of them, but now, he has to commit himself to this despicable businessman!
"Madame," said Lily to her with a smile, "the young master told you to go down to supper with him." β
Well, even if you marry me, I won't make you feel better!" Miss Dill Merlin has thought of a solution.
"Lily, how did you come to follow this despicable fellow, and you were robbed by him?" she asked the girl as she straightened her hair, and that Lily was the only one in the castle who was willing to speak, and of course, the monster puppy named Abu in Lily's arms.
Lily thought for a while before she realized that the "despicable guy" in her husband's mouth was her young master.
"I was the one who followed the young master," said Lily, "the young master was going to send me to the Dark City at first, and he gave me freedom. β
"Didn't he threaten you in any way?" said Miss Dell Merlin, surprised, "that is not his style. β
"Nope. Lily shook her head.
Miss Dill Merlin was confused.
"Tell me," she said, taking Lily's hand, "how did you know each other?" (To be continued......)
