Burden - Chapter XX.5

Andlox spun in circles, unable to see the sky or the horizon clearly, unable to determine his bearings. The thickening smoke scratched his throat and lungs, making his eyes watery and the air getting hotter and hotter, making him sweat.

He seemed to hear Deanna calling him, calling his name over and over again, but she was far away from him. She must have escaped from the fire. Hope she doesn't get lost? But Andlos is, as the smoke gets thicker, he only gets more and more lost.

No. He knew which direction to go. Stay away from the king. He kept heading north, towards the Nightman and the top of the mountain, where all who lived would go.

It was also far away from Sewell, and it rumbled again. Be louder this time. Over and over. It sounds like the earth is excited. Curse the giant. If only the gods had a chance to kill him. At the same time, a curse befell them.

Fear almost held his feet in place, fighting against his sanity that controlled his body. He was no longer able to suppress his emotions. All of his mental powers were gone, and staying sane seemed to be the hardest thing he had ever done.

But he thought of Agna and the children, who might have been fighting for their lives against the remaining aliens. He can't let them face Sewell alone, can he? He took one step, another step, and began to trot. His ribs hurt again, and now that the urge to fight was over, he had been worrying that a jagged bone had broken and was about to plunge into his lung. This will leave him trapped here, breathless, waiting for the hell of the carnage to consume him.

Is he going in the right direction?

But the wind was blowing in his face, and he only walked a hundred steps before he got out of the worst weather and breathed a little fresher air. His eyes still stinged. His lungs were uncomfortable, he was very tired, but he was out.

Sorted. Right now. The flames are getting louder. There were too many trees to see far, but he could hear the sound of fire and hear the whole forest filled with fire. Behind it all, there is laughter. The giants of the earth came laughing, and the sound was like the sound of a rock, coming from between Androcleus's ankles.

What exactly are those unseen things, summoning the wind in battle? It's almost certainly a spirit, but which one exactly? Wolfsca

Friends? Without them, the fire might not have burned so quickly and ...... The wind blew the flames on the king's army, most of which was still gathering. There will be some lucky people on this side of the line of fire, many more in the mountain pass or another valley, but how many are now in the forest, engulfed in flames? No wonder the hoe laughs.

That's going to be a lot of soldiers going to die. A lot of dead soldiers.

The wind stopped, leaving only the air still and wisps of smoke hanging in the air. Grains of ash hung motionless in the air, moving only when he walked by. The forest drowned out all the sounds, but he thought he heard two more horns in the distance.

An avalanche-like roar made him turn. He walked sideways until he found a gap in the woods, and saw a splash of dirt a few hundred paces away. It reminded him of a handful of dirt thrown into the air, but the size of an entire Nightmen camp. Burning trees, boulders, people and horses all screamed in desperate fear as they fell from deadly heights. The flames from the collapse rose and fell.

Then there was more laughter, deep and impossible, the sound of an earthquake. The force of the noise made waves in the woods.

A terrifying scream escaped from Anchors' throat, and he turned around and ran away with all his strength. Thick, pale smoke spread overhead, covering the sky, obscuring the sun and shadows. How far did he go? Shouldn't he have run into the Nightmen's camp now? Is he on the right track?

Anchors paused, trying to calm his breath so he could listen. The hoe returned to the low rumble that came from all directions, but Anchors could still feel his presence, how it grew, and how everything inside him warned him to escape.

The soft roar of flames in the distance came from many directions, but none of them. He turned, but no matter where he was facing, the voice didn't get louder. Trees drowned out the sound.

There was no wind to guide him, no sound, no landmarks. He was lost. As far as he knew, he was already surrounded by flames, and in a few minutes, he would be roasted alive. He'd seen this happen many times. There is no mercy in this; It builds and builds until you die. Sometimes, it takes a long time for them to stop screaming, but they still continue to move, waving for rescue or release, but never come.

Androcles clenched his spear. He wouldn't leave like that, unless he had another choice. God sent his family not to look for him in the burning forest. He imagined Gabby screaming in the flames, almost throwing up. He slapped himself twice to dispel the image.

God kept them out of the forest, God kept them from being slaughtered by thousands of aliens fleeing the fire.

He took a few steps and stopped again. Now the smoke here is getting bigger and thicker, turning into fog and shrinking his world. He could see fifty paces away, a little more in some places, but not any farther.

It's all a real mess. How did he go from chasing a woman for money back to killing an army with a forest fire? Do one thing at a time, he thought.

The world tilted slightly, and Anchors realized that he was dizzy from the smoke. Should he run away and choose a direction, hoping to find clean air?

"Today I took in a lot of new orphans." Patos stood beside Androcles and said as if they had walked a mile together. He wore the same white belt, the same gold chains, the same long black hair, and the same pure skin that had never been exposed to the sun. He looked up at Androx, his eyes filled with darkness and stars.

The rescue flooded Androcles, and for a man who had been lost in the desert for three days, the rescue was like water. "I hope you're not talking about mine," he said.

"No, I already have. They've been in my hands for a long, long time. But not as long as you. No, I mean all the exotic antiquities. I don't want them to starve. All right? Said the god of orphans.

"What do you want me to do?" Androx said. "Are you trying to make me swear?"

Patos shook his head calmly. "No, I just have to mention it. Here it is. โ€

A

d

Okles sighed. As usual, he may only understand God's meaning when it is useful. "I have a lot of meat on me, but I don't think I can feed them all, even if they find me before my corpse goes bad."

Patos laughed, his voice like clear water. "Well, the fire is coming, and if they find you, you're roasted."

A

d

Okles snorted. "I'm supposed to wrap myself in a branch so I can cook evenly."

God laughed again and said, "It reminds me of that time...... Well, I guess you don't remember. "Did you know that once, you were stuck on a rock in the middle of the sea for a year? You have to eat birds, you have to use the entrails of birds to attract more birds. You're such a mess. โ€

Now that he mentioned it, Anders almost thought he could remember. A dream, once, a dream he must have had when he was a child. A long, long time ago, decades have passed, but it's still familiar. In a way.

God took Andlocleus's hand and shook it. A god feels no different from his children in the flesh, except perhaps a little smoother. Patos didn't bring much firewood for the campfire. Neither warm nor cold, just normal; But the grip is tight, familiar and accurate.

The remaining fears and doubts in Androx's mind were gone. The smoke was still there, but to Androx, it felt like the sun was shining on him. It feels like the sun shining on the waves, like the sun shining on the rocky mountains peeking into mysterious caves, like the sun shining on brave battles and strong horses and Olympic victories. It feels like ...... Childhood. Fantastic adventures, stories full of courage and excitement, exploration and learning, and the comforts of home that are not appreciated.

"I miss you, you know." Patos said. "I always miss you when you're away."

Hearing this, Androx's heart was broken, but he didn't know what to say. He had no idea what that meant. A longing stronger than homesickness filled him and made him clench his teeth, but he didn't say anything. Patos looked at the smoke in the distance and held his hand tightly, and Andokles squeezed his hand back.

Only a moment later, that moment passed. Patos said, "Oh, here they are. That's it for now. God let go of his hand.

"Wait, who's coming?"

"I'm just standing here so that Xie Si can find you. Good bye! Patos said, and then he disappeared.

Before Andlox could guess what it was, he saw the light, but after just a few heartbeats, Poppy emerged from the smoke. Sheila and Gabby stood on his back and rode horses, the light from Sheila's lantern-like eyes piercing through the smoke and shining like sunlight on Anders.

"Daddy! The girl screamed.

โ€œGa

Why did you come to me, silly girl? Before the flames burn, let's go!"

"Master Andokvisโ€”" Sheth began, but Gabi shook him.

She looked down at Androx, blue eyes flashing with lightning. Her blonde hair fluttered in the wind, and her face brightened as if the smoke had opened and the sun was shining in. She held out her finger and ordered, "You come with me now!"

Andrx took two steps before realizing he had moved. She nodded angrily, and Poppy turned around and began to walk in the other direction. Androcs giggled to himself, his spirits picked up, and he picked up his pace to keep up. The gods testify that he is doomed. He must have been the girl's father.

Bobby followed the light of Sheth's eyes, and it showed the way forward. Whenever the boy blinks, it goes out, which is a common occurrence in smoke. He reached out several times to wipe the tears from his face, probably rubbing himself up. This really happened to Androx. The skin under the eyes is much softer than it should.

She led the deer down the right path, and the smoke faded. It didn't take long for them to get out of the worst phase. The smell lingered for a long time; Androcleus's lungs were still uncomfortable, and he was coughing incessantly between him and his two children, but there was a faint blue sky overhead, and to the south was a huge column of smoke that was polluting the territory of the Celestial God of Tulos.

Wolf Scar flew in, and Deanna ran faster than a horse after him.

"Oh, thank the gods," she said, wiping tears from her eyes. "You've found him."

"I can see where to go," Xie Si said mysteriously.

"He can see through the smoke, Dad," Gabi explained. "He saw with that particular eye and the wolf sca

The same. โ€

A

d

Okles still doesn't know what happened to the little devil or why he has a light in his eyes, but now is not the time to explain. "Then the two of them can take us to someone else. The king is dead, but we must leave at once. Something more terrible than a fire is coming. Is there anyone else alive?"

"Everybody's still alive." Wolf sca

Say. He hummed excitedly and danced almost in the air. "Come on!"

A

d

OKLES should know. If everyone is dead, wolf sca

It wouldn't be so happy. He sighed loudly and began to walk.

Wolfscar quickly sat down on his favorite Anchors' shoulders and grabbed a handful of mustaches to keep his balance. Deanna ran ahead, running around in the woods, looking for danger. Her serious look made Anchors wonder if she was putting on a show, but he didn't think it mattered.

Gabby lets Bobbi walk next to him, and this time, Bobby doesn't give a judgmental, condescending look. Mostly. She said, "Daddy, do you want to hitchhike?"

He quickened his pace and said, "That animal can't carry me." You saw what happened to the horse I was riding. โ€

"Bobby can hold you. That's what he's done before. โ€

"What? When?"

"When I sew you up. He takes you back to your mother's village," said Galby.

"No, he didn't. How did you get me him? Androx said.

Gabby stood on Bobby's shoulder and looked down, smiling forcefully. He could see it flickering in her eyes, though, and it twitching at the corners of her mouth. "Secret." She hugged her tighter.

He thought about it carefully. The place where he fell asleep and the place where he woke up were miles apart, and he couldn't remember the interval between them. He's been busy ever since, and it didn't even occur to him to ask, but that would bother him. She may have been involved in it in some way, and the more he said, the less likely she was to speak. Cursed girl.

Deanna led them north. Along the way, the children kept looking nervously at the huge pillar of smoke, shivering and looking around whenever the earth made a sound, or when they heard Ther's voice echo. Androcles himself has seen the fire many times. Who knows how quickly it will get to them? How far do they have to go to be safe? If that mile-tall pillar had collapsed and smashed on them, the smoke alone would have killed them. They will all suffocate to death.

When they reached the top of the hill and could see the deep valley below, they turned and headed east.

A soldier rode past them, about thirty paces behind them, and rushed into the valley as fast as he could. A

d

Okles did not hear the sound of the horse until the last moment, but the rider had no interest in stopping.

A

d

Okles said, "Wait a minute." Then climb up a rock and see better. Wolf sca

Telling him that most of the army, or rather, all of it, had gone up the hill seemed to be true. There was no trace of the troops who had gathered below a few hours earlier.

It seems that several riders escaped the fire, though; He saw twenty or thirty soldiers scattered and descending the bare northern slope. So little. He only looked at it for a moment, and another appeared a mile behind them, and another a hundred paces ahead of them.

If no more people flee from the other direction, the harvest of the aliens will be very bad, because only women and children will plow, plant and tend to the fields. No wonder Patos feared that they would starve to death. This could be the end of their tribe.

"Daddy." Garbi said eagerly. "Don't do that, they're still fighting."

Ancrex cursed under his breath and began to walk again. Why are they still fighting? Don't they see the fire?

The terrain along the ridge is rocky and uncomfortable, but fortunately, it's not far from here. Anchors heard the fight before he saw it. The screams of man and beast crossed the rocks and into the valley below, accompanied by other sounds that Angelus couldn't discern. Most of them were deep howls, and one or two short, painful screams that stung his skin.

They came to a sloping clearing, and the rear of the alien cavalry came into view. Andlocks quickly estimated that they numbered about a thousand, but it was impossible to count them accurately because they did not belong to any organization. He guessed they were a small warband at first, but after spotting the Nightmen, they squeezed into the area without any proper formation.

The Nightmen occupy the other end of the clearing, and there are much fewer of them. The comparison with horses makes them appear to be less numerous than they actually are, but they are far more numerous than they are. A few hundred people, not much. The front is closer to them.

A large horde of monsters and nightmare creatures joined the Isobrogias near the center of the battle. Apparently Flower hadn't chased them all away with his song of fear before. They didn't do anything, but the distance was too far to be sure. It seems that the Nightmen have done a good job of this, getting enough spears pointed in their direction to stop them.

On the entire front, a distance was maintained between the two armies, telling him that the real battle had not yet begun. Although they are not old non-believers. They may not fight like a boulder rolling down a mountain, grinding forward mercilessly until victory. They may fight in skirmishes after skirmishes, taking a step back and regrouping each time. Barbarians sometimes have strange ideas about war.

Deanna motioned for everyone to be quiet and hide out of sight. When they came over, she said, "All right, Gabi, you and Shes go first." Poppy can take you like she did before, right?"

Gabby leans down and Bobbi lifts her nose for her to pat and lick her hand like a dog. Somehow, it did all of this without poking anyone with its massive horns. "He's fine," she said.

"Good. Master Androx, you'd better wait until she's safely back to the other side before announcing your identity. You could cause a stampede, and we don't want her to get in the way," says Deanna, who tries to find the right balance between confidence and respect.

He smiled slightly, thinking how interesting it would be to watch her learn some manners; But then he remembered that it was Agunn and Gabi who were teaching her, and he lost his smile. Gabi has only half the humility of women, and Aguna has none at all.

He shook his head and admitted, "My murderous intent has been exhausted. I'm going to have to get rid of them the normal way. โ€

Gabi looked worried, but not quite sure what he meant.

Deanna said, "Yes. I don't know if we have time for you to recover, and I'm running out of time. I've been trying to ride while walking, but I still need at least a couple more hours. โ€

"It's back?" Andlocks asked. It hadn't occurred to him yet that it would come back, but it was still a relief.

Deanna looked at him quizzically. "You don't know?" So how are you... Never mind. I'll be able to get through it. Can you?"

He frowned. "Can I? Who do you think I am?" He immediately felt stupid, but she did not hear his conversation with the king. But even if she wins, he wins. There is no doubt about who he is.

To be fair, it's uncertain whether he'll be able to pull it through. His ribs were still broken, and he felt an indescribable exhaustion. His calves were stabbed deeply, his shoes were covered in blood, and by the time they grabbed him, many of the demon's claws had turned into muscles.

But his wife and son are on the other side, and since Gabi didn't have a gun, he didn't have any money with him. There was no doubt that he was going to get through it.

A low rumble reached his ankle from within the earth. It was loud, but it was so low that it was barely audible. Sound...... Very eager. Delighted. It's like the sound a person makes when he finds the last grape behind a cup he doesn't know.

"I think we'd better hurry," he said dryly.

Sewell is getting closer to us now, and everyone knows that. The alien horse stopped moving, tail down. They open their eyes wide, open their nostrils, and look around. The riders hesitated, unwilling to risk losing control and being thrown out.

"Dad? Garbi said, her small voice filled with fear.

"Well, we don't even have time to fight. Gabi, take Bobby around the army as you planned, but when you arrive, tell Agunn and Natuk to prepare to retreat. We have to get out of here. โ€

"Why? What happened?"

"I can see him." He turned his head south, toward the forest and smoke. "He's big."

"I've chased away some big guy before, Sephie. I can do it again," Deanna said.

A

d

Okles almost spat on the lips. He said, "No, you don't. You don't know what you're talking about. โ€

"You didn't see anything I fought against, Master Androx." Deanna said stubbornly.

He shook his head, feeling a cold sweat run down his forehead. Another thud shook his feet, and he imagined the massive dirt arms rolling up a dozen screaming people, then mashing them between his teeth into sausage fillings. God gave him this time to resist the presence of the old Titan and keep his sanity. However, he doubted it. No one can do it.

The memory resonated with the approaching Titan, and Anchors felt his fingers begin to tremble. His face tightened. His heart was beating hard. O gods, gods, please, don't be anxious yet, let me calm down a little longer.

Deanna herself may not have felt it yet, but she must have seen how affected he was. She hurriedly put the topic aside and moved on. "Gabi, do as he says. We'll catch up soon. Go, girl. She can help everyone escape because he can see it coming. โ€

Gabby looked at Andrx and said, "Kiss me, girl."

She shook her head and said, "No." Later. Wait for you to come. She looked at him sternly to make sure he understood the point.

He got to the point. "Okay." He snorted.

Gabby gave him one last look, then looked forward. Poppy moved on his own, suddenly rushing out of his hiding place behind the bushes and charging directly at the cavalry. Before the stag could scream, he jumped ten feet into the air and began to jump around in the ranks of the cavalry, jumping off the men and horses in an easy and graceful manner, all the stag could do was stare.

A

d

Okles realizes that he should let the little devil boy point out and tell him how far Thuwell is. Oh.

"Let's go, Deanna." He said. "Focus on scaring the horse. Do you understand? They are already in a hurry to flee. โ€

"Understood," she said. She stood up, shook her hand a few times, let go of her fingers, clenched her fists, and rushed forward.

Andlocks stood up and followed her loudly. The nearest riders were startled and pulled the reins in panic, trying to turn the horse around, but they were in such a hurry that the animals simply did not listen. The beasts leaped to their feet, and the two riders were thrown to the ground. At least ten of them rushed in all directions, scaring them even more.

Deanna left him with a trail of chaos. She slaps horses, screams into their ears, kicks or pokes them in the ribs. The army broke up around her, and the soldiers were thrown to the ground, or hung in terror, as their mounts rushed toward the forest or the mountainside.

Androcleus followed closely behind, poking every horse he could reach with his spear. They don't like the treatment, and every time he gives them a blood draw, they pull themselves together or run away.

As the crowd began to open in front of them, the air was filled with discordant sounds. Countless knights are completely out of control, and the rest desperately want to get out of the way, but their efforts only make the situation worse. The horse was reluctant to be quiet.

In the midst of the chaos, as he stumbled to a small clearing, he realized that they had broken through the front line. Instinctively, he stepped back, letting a fist the size of a wine bottle whizz past his nose.

A

d

Before Okles could see what was taking possession of it, he stabbed it in the direction it came from. He felt the spear pierce deep into the flesh, more than a foot. He jerked it away, dodging under his other fist, then slid to the side to dodge a kick from a sheep's foot. A

d

Okles stabbed it again, this time moving its long, disgusting legs out of the way and backing a little.

They came out of an exotic world, right next to a group of monsters. That's the danger of following Deanna, he thought. Fool girl.

However, there was one thing he got wrong. These monsters are not fighting for aliens. It only took him a split second to realize that the two armies had trapped the monster between them, and neither side wanted them any closer. The soldiers of both armies are denser here than anywhere else.

A shock wave rose from the ground and echoed through the valley like a thunderclap. The Outlanders and Nightmen shuddered and crouched down. The large group of monsters also cowered in fright, and let out their own screams, screaming so high and low that even Androl could not hear them.

From behind, a single, high, piercing note struck Andlox with the force of his body, burning every nerve in his body in a short, painful moment. He turned around and saw Flower standing above the crowd with his hands on his lips. The boy sat on Natuk's shoulder, right behind the line. Clever. An ogre staggered to his knees in A

d

Okles next to him, then stood up and ran in the other direction, not knowing what he had stepped on.

Hana finally spotted him and shouted, "Daddy! Pointed excitedly. He wanted everyone to know, but he was too far ahead of his time and almost fell off Natuk's shoulder. The poor kid must have been worried about him.

Androclus winked at the flower, saluted Natuk, and then turned his attention to the Night Men, whose ranks were losing cohesion as they thought they saw the advantage, but it was too early. First, they were not well organized to advance the enemy's front; Secondly, the Sewell was still heading towards them.

"Don't hang up!" He yelled. "Stand back and stay together!"

"Don't hang up!" Flower shouted even louder, his tall voice like a hammer on thick brass. "Stand back and stay together!"

When Andlox looked back at him, the little mouse looked very proud. Who needs a horn?

The demons of Natuk stepped back in an appropriate way, standing in tight formation.

The Outlanders also heard it, and after the devastation caused by his and Deanna's collision, they finally got the horses under control. Now he took a closer look at their formation, which was unlike anything he had seen before. The army of the Legion of Glory could have crushed it in an instant, but it seemed to work here. Only men with longer iron swords or javelins sat in front, still on horses, slashing at anything that came close. The King's Beasts and Nightmen seem to be mostly just frightened, as the horses like to stand up and step on anything they don't like.

In Androcleus's view, this is like a grazing maneuver rather than a fight. Drive all the goats in from the fields, from the gates and the like, and now that the nets are closed, they don't know what to do. Their usual strategy is to swarm like bees.

A

d

Okles glanced at the two lines and the almond-shaped monster in the middle. Of course, both armies were the strongest in the center, and there was much to be used on the edges. But now, neither side dared to rush in and kill with the king's monsters. They fought only where the pressure of the crowd brought them together, and only briefly before retreating.

An ogre picks up something the size of a crab or a sheep, throws it out of the Nightmen's defenses, and tries to chase it down. However, the demons of Natak were not fooled, and after being stabbed enough thin legs, the ogre retreated. Judging by the movement of its hands, it seems that it wants to break their heads, but does not dare to risk their horns.

The women in the back quickly got the crab done. He finally found Aguna in another place, holding a bloody knife in one hand and a bag of herbs in the other. Obviously, this is not the first monster to be thrown. As soon as Gabby and Sev walked up to her, Pepper was gone, of course.

Another tremor shook the earth, more violently than before. A

d

Okles kept his balance with his spear, but a group of Nightmen nearby weren't so lucky. One person tripped and knocked over several more people while trying to stand firm. Luckily, the alien cavalry opposite them was focused on getting their frightened horses to stop dancing, unable to take advantage of the opening until the demon got back on its feet.

Anchors noticed that the Nightlings had wound the ends of their elongated tails together to make a rope that was as long as the length of the rope. The boys do this almost every time they walk or sit together, but it makes him wonder if they can signal the drill in this way. One of them tugged at it, and everyone felt it. Two tugboats moved forward, three retreated...... How quickly can they retract? If they could divide the army into several parts and move in both directions at the same time, they would be able to form a terrible hoplite squad. Someday he'll ask them.

A fiery tree the size of a river of paddles flew over the heads of the two armies and to the other side of the mountain, blocking everyone's path. The entire battlefield was silent, and all shouts and sonorous sounds ceased. Immediately after, fifty regiments of earth the size of horses erupted from the burning forest, casting dappled shadows on the battlefield.

"Lawn mower" roared, the sound was long, deep, filled with the sound of gravel. His head peeked at them from a short distance to the south through the forest line, and his presence was like the sea, suffocating all their thoughts.

His eyes were hollow caves of shadows, colored only by the quicksand that fell from his eyebrows. Dog-sized stones dripped and rolled down his bald head, mimicking sweat. Stones larger than the door made up his teeth, a hungry smile.

If Androx had been more prepared for this, he might have had enough willpower to abandon everything and run away. However, the shock pinned his feet to the stone, immobilizing him, and before he could move, part of the fairy's sanity was restored.

Fight. They have to fight. Fight. Fight! Now they can't run away anymore. They had to meet Tsewell's demands or they would die. He used all his strength to overcome his fears. It hasn't changed.

He raised his spear and shouted half-heartedly. In Ther's suffocating presence, it was all he could do, but it wasn't enough. The demons were in a state of nervous fray, each silver eye glazed and hollow.

On the other hand, most of the horses of Heterbrogia are simply dead, or simply unconscious. Androx heard the sound of their falling footsteps and heard the sound of several legs being trampled on.

The mouth of the headset was opened, and it was a cavern that led to the abyss of the spirit of all things. He shouted his request, and the sound rumbled from the ground, reaching his knees before he could reach his ears. Its appearance is more primitive than language, like anything that precedes thought, but its meaning is clear: to fight.

Under the mental pressure of Thuwell's will, Androx was out of breath. Even if he still had the intention to kill, he couldn't resist. One can more easily withstand a thousand bolts of lightning and withstand a drought. Overwhelming victory. He could feel it crushing him physically and mentally. It caused pain in the empty space that once held the gas even before the wolf scar released the gas.

"Fight." His tongue was so dry that he couldn't speak, and he made a piercing sound. "War ......"

"Andlox, my friend, what are we going to do?" Natuk said calmly and without pretentiousness. The flower sat straight on his shoulder. The boy's eyes scanned around, looking at everything and nothing. He got water on the old devil's shirt.

Seeing that Natak was unscathed, Androcle almost felt like a slap in the face, shaking his mind even clearer. "We have to fight a war," he said calmly. He came to see the war. โ€

A sharp pain in his heart caused him to bend down and clutch his shirt tightly. Him. That empty space, that miasma container, was burned down. He could feel a small handprint there, like a puncture wound. Wolf SCA

Everything that has been done has not fully healed.

He looked up and shook his head, trying to focus. Natuk frowned worriedly, but he remained calm.

A

d

Okles held out his trembling fingers and took Flower's hand. "Flowers! Flowers, children, look at me. Look at my face. Over here. Flowers, wake up. I need your voice!"

The son's wild eyes slowly regained their brilliance. Ankrex watched as the golden iris moved, and he regained his ability to concentrate as he watched their movements calm down. Look at them with rage. Watching as Flower took a deep breath and pulled himself together, unable to control his emotions.

Anchors calmly grabbed the boy's chin and changed the direction of his screams, but only reluctantly. It's a close call. It didn't make a sound that Androx couldn't hear, but his mind drifted through it, almost into a dream. Scorn. Naked, unfettered resistance. The flower's screams sent waves in the air and hit Hugh in the face, shaking more sand from his forehead. It also dispelled the last vestiges of fog in Andrekles' mind, turning his emotions from fear to anger.

The giant giggled and lifted himself off the ground. Shoulders of dirt and stone surfaced and pushed into the air, creating another roaring earthquake. Blazing trees fell from the rising ground and crashed into the ground. His face is as tall as the statue on the top of the temple, but only his armpits are exposed. This endless view made Androx's head spin.

The flower hissed and said, "I'm not a presbyopia!" The boy was trembling with rage, and Anchors felt like he wasn't quite back yet.

"No one thinks you're the same boy you used to be. Wake up, kid. Flowers!"

"Xiaohua won't be scared to death!" Flower said, baring his fangs. Anchors could see the light in his eyes beating as the boy struggled to regain full alertness.

"Listen up. When we find Dikaya, I'll give you another name. Do you understand? Another name. A new one. Then you're not spending at all. Anjex said, shaking him gently.

Flower's numbness immediately disappeared from him. "Really? He asked, his eyes wide open.

"Yes."

"You're not old Flower, and I'm not young Androx," he thought, smiling wryly. Thuwell's presence made all of his movements feel like swimming in heavy water, and his injuries didn't help. The stitches on his arm had been torn in too many places, and the broken ribs were wet and hot, making him nervous. The gods know how much blood he has shed for the clutches of those demons. This must be the feeling of being old - you can't move, and your whole body hurts.

"Okay, Hana, I need your voice, understand?" You have to stay with me and be vigilant. Andrekles said, instinctively gripping the spear tighter. There was silence on the battlefield, and everyone was conquered by the fear of Sewell, but that wouldn't last long.

He said, "Natak, can you continue to hold him so that his voice can be heard more clearly?"

With an urgent look on his face, Natuk said, "Androx, my friend, I'm not sure it's the wisest thing we can do. I think we've come to the end of a long road. โ€

"What, here? Do you see the way, old man? Andlos said, though he doubted he knew what the elders were going to say.

"For the sake of our friendship, Androx, please listen to me-"

"Stop. I'm not going to grab a few of your kids and run away. That's what you're asking, right?"

The Elder's face revealed the deep feelings he had tried so hard to hide. It was just a flash of defeat and pain, but Anders saw it. Natak said, "Please, friend. I know this God, and He won't let us go. He's a disaster, isn't he? Strongly?"

The woodcutter had no patience for their conversation, and roared so loudly that even the clouds shook and made waves. Fight. His vacant gaze swept across the battlefield.

Natak took Flower off his shoulders and pushed him to Androl's side. The boy's eyes sparkled with longing, and there was no doubt that he was dreaming of his new name. A

Okles began to wonder if this was to make Flowe

The wrong way to stay alert.

The elder pleaded, "Please. Save our children. Take as much as you can. Take them all and go. We'll fight until we're eaten, and that's good. Save those who are buried in stony ground, and be the father of my people, and my only friend. If mercy for me does not touch your heart, please do so out of respect for Patos. โ€

"You don't know me, if you think I'm a guy who runs away before I have to," Androx said.

"I don't think a person who can run will have so many scars. But I know that you keep your oath above all else, and I know that you have sworn to buy back the inheritance of your city. If you stay here and wait to die, it won't be kept. I also know that Passos is protecting you and your family. If there is any hope of escaping the disaster, it is you and those who can take it with them. I beg you, include our children. There is no other hope. Only your oath and the grace of your God. Natuk said.

This man did his best to maintain dignity, probably because he thought this was the behavior of a Rafifi as a person should be. But no matter how hard he tried to hide it, he couldn't completely shake off the despair on the edge.

When the elders saw that he hesitated, they said, "Please, please, go."

Well, if he wants to say so. A

Okles knew that the old demon had a point, no matter how much it hurt his pride by escaping. After all, it's all about fulfilling his vows, and he has everything he needs to fulfill them. The gods placed demons in his path to protect his family while he fought the king, didn't they? If not, neither the cause nor the how matters. No one can escape Tsewell. Not for most people. Either there are a few, or none at all.

"It was I who caused the king to suffer and die, Natuk. I can only tell you so much. He died in disgrace and pain. Your revenge has succeeded, and I promise that your children will never forget your sacrifice. He turned around and tugged at Laflaure's shirt. Come on, flowers. Stop daydreaming. โ€

Oddly enough, he didn't feel much about this decision. Not heavy, not light. There is no relief, and there is no regret. Nothing. This makes the situation worse. He wished he could feel at least a little guilty. Maybe he's just too tired now and he'll feel it later. At least mourn Natak.

"My friend, I can't be grateful to you," Natuk said. The despair in his heart seemed to be disappearing, replaced by determination. Or, perhaps it was just a relief to know that he had done everything he could and that his rest would come soon.

Ancreth grabbed Flower's hand and pulled him forward, hurrying through the stunned ranks of nightmen to Agun, hoping that the children would be there too.

Before he could get close to her, one of the ogres awoke from his fear and stood up. Seeing that the Night Man was unresponsive, it let out a giggle and stepped gently across the front line. It kicked the two men away, then continued through the sparse line of men towards the woman.

In the crowd, only Gabi was in action. She jumps up and down with her stag and flies high in the air towards the grinning ogre. Sef was not by her side, she stood there with her arms crossed, like a statue of a god riding on a cloud.

โ€œGa

BI, stop! Wait a minute! He shouted. She was too close to the ogre, and the gods cursed her.

She ignored him. Poppy walked over to the monster's reach, and she jumped gracefully as it tried to grab them. It tried again, this time reaching for her, but Poppy jumped back and pulled her out of reach.

โ€œGa

Go away, girl! Ga

He screamed. Don't, O gods! Not now! The kind of affection he lacked just now has come back a thousand times. His heart was filled with fear, and Ther's malevolent presence added to the situation.

Poppy stopped, and so did the ogre. Nightmare and his little girl just looked at each other for a moment.

HE SCREAMED, HIS VOICE CHOKED, AND DESPERATELY WALKED TOWARDS HER.

The little girl held out her hand, and the ogre held out his long arm.

GARBI !HUA SHOUTED, LOUDER THAN THE CALL OF AN EAGLE. The wildness inside the boy filled his voice with chaotic fear.

She didn't even turn her head. The little girl calmly put her hand on the ogre's outstretched fingertips and paused for a moment. There was a moment of silence, like a painting frozen on wood, and then the ogre leaned downโ€”Anchors' heart stopped beating in his chest

Kissing her hand. She pulled out her hand, and a ray of colored sunlight somehow shone through the smoke and hit her, her blonde hair glowing a bright and brilliant orange. The ogre stood straight. It glanced at Androx, then backed away. Poppy walked past the ogre and walked towards the other nightmarish beasts.

The ogre followed her, standing beside her. Protection.

Andlos stumbled and almost fell, he was too distracted to pay attention to where he was going. He had to grab her and pull her to safety before the thing bit off her head.

Her appearance seems to slowly awaken the rest of the monsters. They shook their bodies and became more active; Those who open their eyes, blink, look around. Gabby held out her hand again, and after a while, another ogre stepped forward and kissed her hand. And then one by one, like supplicants in front of the throne and their queen Gabi. Or a princess. Wolf sca

Happily sat on her shoulder, as if all this was not entirely crazy.

His fragile little daughter turned to look at him, and he felt her strength, her love. The mysterious way of the witch that Agnn taught her, a power that is the opposite of his anger. It's been a while โ€” months โ€” but his soul remembers it. Pure, innocent, undeniable. Has she always had that much money, or has it been getting more and more in this time?

Then she turned around and reached out for the next nightmarish creature to worship.

By the time he and Hua had come within twenty paces of her, her love had been strong enough to wipe out the suffocating poison of Thur's presence. The burden was lifted from his shoulders, and he felt like his mind was finally clear, even though he had been fine before.

Agnon was not far behind, too, running from the other direction, her face flushed with exhaustion, bouncing wildly as she ran. She was not born to run.

One ogre bowed to his daughter, followed another. Some other unknown creature approached, and she greeted everyone and blessed them with the privilege of putting their hands on them. Something with or without a head, something with five legs, a creature that looks like a mass of rotting hair; If they weren't tall enough, the stag would put her down to reach them.

Not all monsters came to her, though. It seems that about half of them are heading north, descending the hill, leaving the battle behind. They seem to have almost no goals, like they are hovering in the same direction, but without any goals.

The rest waited, worshipping little Galbi standing on a stag. Near-human emotions spread across the deformed face, and something without a face tilted towards her. They were ugly, and he hated to see them so close to her. I don't want to see them at all. But how do he do it?

The hoe roared again, and in a moment a large rock the size of an ox flew overhead, followed by several more. Andrakes barely noticed.

When he finally came to him, Agunn was just as shocked as he was. They looked at each other blankly.

"Daddy," said Galby. "Daddy?"
