161 White Ghost
About 5 light-years north of the Aurora coordinate system, there is a barren galaxy with no name, numbered Z8D6 in the Mechanics Registry.
There are no solid-state planets or asteroids in the Z8D6 galaxy that would allow organic life to stand on them, only the thin orange-white star in the center of the galaxy provides extremely limited light and heat to this vast barren space.
A half-hung brown dwarf that has failed to complete its metamorphosis from a gas giant to a star because it cannot reach the critical mass to trigger hydrogen fusion on its own, snuggles up with the decaying star, sharing each other's inadequately burning body temperatures.
Perhaps it will not be until one day in the future that they begin to devour each other, and a healthy and bright new star will be born in the Z8D6 galaxy.
For now, at least, the void of the universe without stars is still dark and cold.
The only gas giant in the galaxy orbits silently in the infinite darkness, like an unseen giant ghost.
Generally speaking, it would have been difficult for the human empire to locate the real-time location of the nameless giant planet without deliberately searching for it through costly means such as detecting gravitational waves, but it is not needed now.
Even the most backward probes on the oldest warships in disrepair can easily catch the massive subspace disturbances spreading from the gaseous planet, provisionally named "White Ghost".
The "White Ghost" as a whole presents a mixture of white and brown colors, and the atmosphere is churning with never-ending waves of gas; The Eternal Storm, a combination of high-pressure anticyclones and downdrafts, appears as a conspicuous dark brown spot on the surface of the white ghostly star, and in the center of this spot, the deepest part of the Eternal Storm, where surging subspace energy pours out.
A huge monster that exuded the smell of corruption slowly poked its head out of the center of the storm.
It was a giant void whale with a body length of more than 20,000 kilometers, cruising here on the currents of subspace.
Its body was highly decomposed, its back was dotted with black-green mold, and the crevices of its scales were stuffed with milky white hyphae; Its skin was sickly duck-green, its rotting giant eyeballs were constantly gushing foul-smelling pus, and the fins under its abdomen were slowly paddling, and its celestial body "slipped" out of the center of the storm, free from the gravitational constraints of the white ghost.
The Void Whale's swollen belly was filled with friendly and lovely Nurgle spirits and plague bearers, and mildew and mycelium grew on the whale's back into the sacred three-ring plague symbol, and it came to the real universe with the love of a loving father.
The first one was followed by the third, then the fourth, and more and more Void Whales swam out of the storm.
Some of them were covered in crimson scales and long, sharply curved horns, and their scarlet eyes burned with bloodthirsty desire; Others swayed with sticky and flexible tentacles, and sensitive nerve synapses were covered from the scales on the body to the mucous membranes in their bodies, swimming forward while enjoying the endless stimulation brought by the countless demons in their bodies.
Compared to the regular network gates controlled by the Aydarins, this eternal storm on the surface of the white ghost body could not be called a "gate" at all, it was just a broken gap.
The huge network system built by the Ancient Saint has a powerful self-inspection mechanism, and the network itself will actively cut off the entire branch vein that is set foot by the necromancer after detecting that it has been invaded by the Tombstone Gate of the Space Necromancer, and isolate the invaded section of the network from the entire network system to prevent the invasion from spreading.
Following the guidance of the Lord of Change, the highly mutated Void Whales entered this dusty network through the Tombstone Gate, sending an endless army of demons directly to the heart of the Espernes Star Zone, to the north of Aurora.
Riding the ocean currents that leaked from the sea of souls into the real universe, the Void Whales swam towards Aurora in droves.
"We've detected multiple creature psionic signals, and—the Emperor is above!"
On the steel punch cruiser, the psyker who was detecting the signals of the northern subspace of the galaxy in real time through the psionic divination array suddenly let out a terrible scream, his skull exploded instantly, and the flying brains stained the wings of glory on the chests of the space marines, and pale bone spurs grew under the robes, and he turned around with teeth and claws to pounce on Eldorshan, who was communicating with his allies.
However, before the violent psionic energy that could easily screw the powerful Space Marines to death could explode, the old leader of the Iron Geist smashed the fallen monster that pounced on him into mud with a single punch.
"The ships obey orders and are imprisoned...... No, immediately execute all the psykers on board, we can't afford to go berserk. Eldoshan said solemnly.
This is a heavy choice, most of the psionics in the Imperial fleet are navigators or star whisperers stationed in the local Star Whispering Agency, and executing all of them means that the fleet will lose the ability to travel long distances and communicate across galactic systems...... It's not that bad.
They were far luckier than the other Imperial combatants struggling in the galaxy, and Eldorshan could have made this heavy decision with relative ease compared to the desperate captains, because Aurora is a galaxy with an L-gate.
All of the major systems in Espernes are connected to the L-Gate network, giving them unparalleled efficiency in the flow of high-speed information and military movements.
The army gathered in Nirvana is coming here through the stargate network, not in 1 year, not in 6 months, not even in 1 month, and the support fleet will arrive in Aurora and Trodom respectively in 3 days.
Nirvana, as the capital of the sector, can be informed of the emergency situation in the hinterland system Aurora and the fleet logistics base Trodom in time, and respond as quickly as possible to provide support, which is unimaginable for the previous imperial administration.
It's all thanks to the stargate network that connects the starlet.
And the L-star gate is a gift from the star-bomber......
Eldoshan slowly lowered his power fist stained with the blood of the mutant psyker, his gaze looking through the porthole of the Steel Punch at the giant monster that squirmed in Mirafa's orbit and squirmed with tentacles greedily sucking the soup of life.
"Is this a sacrifice? Or is it the price to pay for trading with the Marble Star? Eldo had no answer.
The only thing he could know was that if the Human Empire was to break free from the shackles of the subspace and break free from the chains of the evil gods, it would only cost the people of the Empire a planet, a galaxy, or even a star sector......
In the face of such a deal, even the father of his own genes, the original compassionate agent who values the lives of civilians the most, will feel a little shaken.
In the darkness of the north, the subspace disturbance brought by the Void Whale Group was gradually approaching, and the Imperial Navy's detectors were already able to vaguely capture the approximate location and size of the whale group. Eldoshan has made a number of targeted tactical deployments in this regard, so that the whales can enter the galaxy immediately with the best formation into battle......
However, before their deployment was in place, they received a warning signal from the Truth Order's fleet:
"The target is in range, ready to fire the tachyon light spear—"
