210 The Boundary-Breaker
At the bottom of the Great Rift Valley, at the base of the space elevator.
An Astarte, dressed in cracked dark green power armor, was half-lying next to a boulder at the entrance to the mine, panting and clenching his plasma pistol.
He's waiting for the gun to cool down, and plasma weapons are powerful and performant, with the only downside being that the prolonged output will cause the gun to overheat, causing it to explode.
Astarte's feet were littered with dead mortal soldiers of the Astragal Army, and in the depths of the blazing mines, Space Marines could occasionally be spotted wearing dark green power armor and sword wings on their shoulders.
They had come to the Dark Angel of Chaos in the Great Rift Valley in the same landing module, but now he was the only one left with his fighting brothers.
Nest B-211 is on the last dark angel, Geza.
He had run out of oil and was dying.
His injuries were so severe that even though the medical system built into the Power Nail had injected him with a variety of stimulants and hormones, it would not allow his overdrawn body to continue to function and remain conscious.
As he lay dying, Geza remembered what had happened when he first arrived in the Krenna sector.
Two years ago, the Dark Angel received a call for help from Pluto. While all the company commanders and lieutenants in the warband were speculating about which company would be sent to rescue the threatened Imperial World, the current warband leader of the Dark Angel and the 6-winged Grand Mentor announced the results of their joint consultation:
- As a result, the Dark Angel poured out of the nest and drove the Monastery directly into the Klenna sector.
Gheza is not a member of the Inner Ring, he has only been in the service for less than 400 years, and he is a proper recruit in the Dark Angels, but because of some special personal experiences, he has also heard of some secrets within the warband.
For example, fallen angels.
"I'm afraid the only one who can make the battle leader and the Grand Mentor agree to move out of the boulder is the fallen angel......" Gaiza thought before he set off.
But he seems to have thought wrong.
Back in mind, the plasma pistol had cooled down a bit and should be able to sustain one or two more rapid-fires.
Geza took a deep breath, and with his tenacity he forcibly propped up his broken body, carefully leaning out of his small half of his body to look out of the mine.
"What are you looking for?"
"For the Emperor!"
A gentle voice rang out from the mine behind him, and without a thought, pure muscle memory made Gaiza instantly raise the plasma pistol in his hand, and he roared and pulled the trigger, and the hot plasma fired.
But his angry blow did nothing to the "Baptist".
Even the Void Shield was not opened, and the Dark Matter Deflection Shield was also turned off, and the fiery plasma beam shot out, but it did not leave any traces on the silver-gray Zero Element Armor, like holding a water gun to cultivate tiles.
"Conventional weapons can't break the defenses of zero-element armor, at least they have to use hot-melt weapons that can disturb subatoms, or higher-end gravitational manipulation and dimensional weapons...... The decomposition field of the power sword should also work? Russell's voice came from among the Baptists, and he said in some earnestness, "Won't you let go of the trigger?" Your plasma pistol is going to overheat. ”
Before he could finish speaking, Géza decisively abandoned the pistol and stabbed the power sword in his right hand into Russell's chest.
There was a clink, and nothing happened.
"Your power sword has long been damaged, the decomposition force field has been paralyzed, and now what you hold in your hand is just a simple steel bar...... Didn't you find this? It looks like you've been through a tough battle. ”
Russell shook his head, the Baptist's eyes dizzed with indigo's spiritual energy, and forcibly ordered Geza's body to put down his weapon and sit down on the ground: "Don't be nervous, I'm human, but I wear different clothes from you." ”
As he spoke, the Baptist's breastplate briefly disintegrated, revealing Russell's face to Géza and then quickly re-closing the lock—the bottom of the Great Rift Valley was filled with strong industrial exhaust fumes, and mortals would die on the spot if they breathed directly, and the slaves of the Mechanic Order needed iron lungs to be implanted when mining here.
It's a handsome good guy, but it's a pity that some mothers. This was Geiza's first impression after seeing Russell's true face.
Russell's bone and skin physiognomy are beautiful, but they do not conform to the universal aesthetic of the human empire.
In the midst of the rags of war and the general martial arts of mankind, the girls preferred handsome and powerful males like the Angels of the Holy Blood or the Emperor's Son, or the strong and wild warriors of the Katachan Jungle, and Russell did neither.
He is more than handsome in appearance but not heroic enough, and he looks like a Sven scum who plays with power, and any battle nun is more manly than Russell.
Gaza tried to break free from the heavy spiritual pressure that held his limbs captive, and after a few failed attempts, he realized the strength hidden beneath the delicate skin.
"Who are you? Why is it here? Geza asked feebly.
"I don't have a real name, but you can call me a star." Russell answered his question generously, and after sensing that Gaiza's hostility towards him had subsided, he also dissipated the psionic power that imprisoned him.
Russell bent down to pick up the power sword that Gaiza had dropped on the ground, played with it casually, and said, "I originally planned to go to the Boulder Monastery to talk to your Dark Angel Warlord about something, but when I passed by this galaxy, I saw the dimension anchor of the Boundary Breaker, so I came down to see the situation. ”
"As far as I know, the Boundary Breaker's extradimensional portal should be near Baal, and the Klenna sector is at the door of the Eye of Fear, and the expansion progress of the high-dimensional invasion is inevitably too fast......" Russell shook his head with a wry smile, not knowing whether to say that the Boundary Breaker was too fierce or that the Human Empire was too strong.
"Boundary-breaker? Dimension anchors? Geza's mind raced, and he quickly connected Russell's words to the terrifying foe he had encountered: "Dimensional anchor, is that illusory being that resembling a space jellyfish entrenched in the center of the sulphur galaxy?" ”
"The Breaker...... So that kind of monster is called the Boundary Breaker? They came here from Barr? ”
For a moment, Gaiza's heart was shocked.
"Oh? It seems that you fought the ground forces of the Boundary Breakers, and you can still survive...... Interesting. Russell was intrigued, and then one of the Baptist's hands took Geiza's head.
"I connect with your consciousness with psionic energy, what do I ask, what do you answer, understand?"
"Understood...... Gaiza whispered, his voice weak.
"First of all, tell me why the Dark Angel is here......"
After a few rounds of questions and answers, Russell basically figured out the situation here.
Two years ago, on their way to the rescue of Pluto, the Dark Angel who had poured out of the nest received a call for help from B-211, and a Chaos Demon had invaded the planet and slaughtered in the depths of the Great Rift Valley.
Due to the strategic importance of the sulphur crystal, the Dark Angel reached out to B-211, and Gezza's entire company, along with a makeshift naval fleet and mortal auxiliaries, arrived at B-211 to fight the Chaos Demons in the Great Rift Valley.
The Monastery of the Great Stone continues on to Pluto.
Gezza's team is tasked with defending the base of Space Elevator 2, and if the elevator is destroyed, the supply chain of sulfur crystals is at risk of breaking, which will cause huge losses to the war zone around the Eye of Fear.
The warriors of the Dark Angels are brave warriors, building defenses around the base of the space elevator and fighting the cultists and chaos demons in a brutal battle.
The battle lasted for almost a year, and the situation became stalemate, with Gezza's company waiting for the support of the boulders, and the cultists hurrying to slaughter mortals to summon more demons.
It was at this time that the mutation took place.
"We lost contact with the fleet in orbit without any warning, and all ships disappeared as if out of thin air, without any sound, no longer responding to our signals......"
Gezza's tone was a little frightened: "Then, the demon began to flee, we obviously did not launch any attack, but the demon is fleeing, like a flock of sheep targeted by a wolf......"
"Whether it's the brutal ventery or the corrupt plague bearer, they are screaming and fleeing, and the whispers of subspace are silent, replaced by deep fear, which the think tank seniors told me is the enemy's predator......"
"Then I saw it, I saw 'that' there."
Geza closed his eyes in agony, unwilling to continue reminiscing. But through the conscious connection, Russell saw what he saw.
The originally immortal demons were driven away, chased, hunted, and devoured like a bewildered lamb...... Out of thin air, a strange being appeared out of the Great Rift Valley, their bodies blurry and illusory, alien to everything around them.
Their existence itself is a conflict, it's like using retouching software to forcibly photoshop a bunch of things with completely inconsistent painting styles here, they don't belong to this universe, but they can devour everything in this universe.
Their name is - The Boundary-Breaker.
