Chapter 44: The Law of Defending Merit
The Great Zen Monastery began a series of religious activities, reciting mantras. Then I began to tell a lot of legends such as immortals, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas, but I felt very bored.
I want to hear and confirm the truth, and you will hear this to me? The foolish people's saying, setting off superstition, has deviated from the original intention of the Holy Emperor, just this great Zen temple, so magnificent, but it is also a great good thing to be destroyed.
Looking at the so-called Zen master's nonsense, his tongue is full of lotus, he talks about the past life, and he talks about all kinds of heresies, Ji Tian only feels sad.
Ji Tian observed the changes in the sincerity of everyone present, no matter when and where, the surroundings were actually Ji Tian's dojo that confirmed the truth, so Ji Tian could also sit down.
"The so-called Dharma meeting is to collect people's thoughts, refine and devour, and cultivate and improve their Dao cultivation." Ji Tian saw that the people under the preaching ceremony were constantly contributing their thoughts because of their faith.
These monks, using the name of the Holy Emperor Yuan as a signboard, distorted the interpretation of the Buddha's way of the Taoists, and used superstition as a weapon to harvest the wealth and hearts of the unreasonable.
Ji Tian looked at the truth of the other side contained in the inner operation of the people's hearts below, even if it was a thought, the inner side also contained the true nature of the other side, and Ji Tian could verify it with his own wisdom.
I have already reorganized and understood the Dao technique, and I have my own way.
It is to use one's own wisdom to discover the other side of each thought, and then let one's own true heart reflect, so that the other side of each thought is manifested, and finally the great wish to carry these thoughts that are transformed into other side of the thought.
The construction of Ji Tian's Dao system is a little different from that of ordinary people.
Ordinary people should continue to practice Taoism to improve their intelligence, become a sage and a creator, and then make great wishes, absorb thoughts, and stabilize themselves.
However, Ji Tian's system is reversed, first to prove the sages, and then rely on the means of proving the truth to transform this means into the so-called great aspiration.
But in fact, Ji Tian didn't have the so-called wish, but just said one side of the truth on the other side, as a proof of his own truth and wisdom, that's all.
Therefore, the great wisdom, the true side, and the great aspiration are all one thing in nature, and they are consistent, and they don't need those messy methods.
This kind of system composed of Taoist concepts is what Ji Tian calls ...... The other side of the Dao technique, and the rest of the Dao techniques, can be called the outer Dao techniques.
'My other side Dao technique is quite difficult, if it weren't for the big root instrument, I wouldn't even be able to take the first step. If you don't have a great opportunity, you can't have the idea of the other side of the Dao technique. ’
Relying on his own theories, he constantly extradited thoughts, and these thoughts were transformed into other thoughts and thrown into the wheel of wisdom of Ji Tian. The wheel of wisdom did not manifest outward, it was originally a phenomenon that existed in Ji Tian's heart.
The thoughts on the other side overlap with the wheel of wisdom, and the thoughts on the other side converge into a roulette wheel, constantly turning, and every moment is grinding away their own delusional sea.
These thoughts are proof of merit. ’
Merit is not a complicated thing. The exposition of merit by the Holy Emperor Yuan of this world is to discover one's true thoughts, and then implement them to make merits, and then derive the so-called killing and good thoughts, which are also merits.
In fact, in Ji Tian's view, this is an external method, and the Holy Emperor Yuan regards seeing nature as a fixed thing.
Because all thoughts are essentially thoughts on the other side, there is no difference between good and bad at all, as long as the true heart is manifested, and the thoughts are turned into thoughts on the other side, it is merit.
Therefore, equality is merit, and seeing nature is virtue.
To see sex is to see the other side, and everything is the other side, so there is no sex.
Yuan said that there is promising, and Ji said that there is no action.
Although Ji Tian felt meaningless when he listened to the so-called Fa, he just kept improving his other side of the Dao technique, which made Ji Tian feel happy and interesting, what is happier in this world than practicing his ideals and interests?
Wang Zhen listened to it with relish, because listening to these scriptures, he could constantly wash away his distracting thoughts and let his soul settle down, which was quite beneficial to Taoist practice.
Wang Zhen has only one idea, that is, to cultivate to take away the ghosts and immortals, and to be at ease, the kind of freedom that the world is like for me.
"Brother Ji, you said, if everything can't interfere with you, how carefree and happy it is!"
Wang Zhen looked at the words of the Zen master of the Great Chan Temple above, and couldn't help but sigh to Ji Tian, the wind blew and lifted his long robe, which was quite chic.
Ji Tian was originally obsessed with the construction of the Dao Technique on the other side, and he was converting the original Dao knowledge into the Dao Technique on the other side. Suddenly I heard someone say something to myself.
Hearing Wang Zhen's thoughts, Ji Tian thought deeply, and then replied:
"I think that the real great freedom and great freedom are not like this, it is that I can carry everything and everything, and I can give up everything, this is the real great freedom."
"A gentleman should have the change of a dragon and a snake, in the sky can be a dragon in the sky, clouds and rain, and on the ground can also be a snake in the mire to play happily, this is the gentleman's leisure! This is the most desirable thing in the world. ”
Hearing Ji Tian's words, Wang Zhen was shocked, and felt that he had heard such an unspeakable concept, and in comparison, what he thought was a leisurely pleasure seemed quite shallow.
I couldn't help but ask: "Hearing what Brother Ji said, this truth is really unheard of, but this truth of yours seems to have a conflict with the concept of the Holy Emperor and the sons of all the sons are like dragons." ”
"You have misunderstood the concept that everyone is like a dragon, the dragon represents change, it is not really to make people similar to dragons, it is actually about the truth that a gentleman is not a weapon, but that you can do anything and are not limited by anything." Ji Tian replied like this, the truth of the princes is transformed into their own truth, which is the true way.
In Ji Tian's view, human nature is ever-changing, and it is like a dragon, and the dragon should be used as an adjective, which is to describe people's inner virtues, rather than making human nature become dragon nature.
Everyone is like a dragon, but the virtue of the dragon cannot be demonstrated. Only by understanding this truth can everyone be like a dragon to realize it, and not understanding this truth is just distorting human nature.
Wang Zhen pondered deeply, and when he heard Ji Tian's truth, he suddenly felt that he had gained a lot: "I just realized today that listening to your words is better than reading a book for ten years, which is really worthwhile." ”
Ji Tian watched this Wang Zhen change from a very floating state to a very down-to-earth appearance.
Continue to turn his head and carefully construct his own other side Dao technique.
An old monk at the top kept telling all kinds of scenes of the Elysian World and some of the Holy Emperor's truths, but for Ji Tian, there was no so-called use at all.
At this moment, a rich man stood up and said to the old monk with his hands folded.
"Elder Yinhai, how can I achieve the Buddha's path?"
"There are three ways to become a Buddha, one is to practice meditation, the second is to understand the Buddha's principles, and the third is to make merits." Yin Hai said with a smile.
"I also understand Zen meditation, and I am familiar with Buddhism, so what is merit?"
"At the beginning, the patriarch of the Great Zen Temple opened the window, and there was a story. When the wind blows, some say it moves, some say it moves, some say it moves. ”
"Zen Ancestor said that it is not the wind or the flag, but it is really the heart, so the merit is not on the outside, but only in the heart." Yin Hai replied.
When the people below heard such words, they felt worthy of being a great Zen master, and they really said such a good reason.
"So how do you practice?"
"Just as sludge can grow lotus flowers, we constantly cultivate the growth of lotus flowers in our hearts in the midst of the filth of the world, which is the practice of merit."
Wang Zhen felt that this truth simply explained the means of cultivating Taoism, and it seemed that his Dharma meeting was really right.
Ji Tian was like air, but Wang Zhen said to Ji Tian: "Elder Yinhai is really a great Zen master, Brother Ji, this principle is universal in everything, whether it is studying, being an official or cultivating the Tao." ”
Ji Tian nodded, raised his eyes for a moment, and said, "This is only a superficial merit, not a real merit. It is like the splash of the waves of the sea, the fate gathers and disillusions. ”
The voice was not loud, Wang Zhen was a little suspicious again, and only asked Ji Tian: "Brother Ji, what do you think?" ”
And at this moment, Yin Hai, who was sitting on the high platform, suddenly glanced at Ji Tian, and then looked at Ji Tian with kind eyes, and then said:
"I don't know what laymen think about merit? When I look at lay people, I really understand the Buddha's teachings, but I don't know what I think about merit. ”
Soon, there were many people in the entire festival who looked directly at Ji Tian, and were stared at by the eyes of so many people, and Ji Tian's face did not change:
"The so-called lotus flower is the practice of the mind, which can be called the creation of the mind, but isn't that sludge the manifestation of the human heart? Sludge is also the creation of people's hearts, and sludge is also merit. ”
"This? Why? A young man asked Ji Tian.
"Sludge is the dirt of the human heart, and the practice of merit is to say that the dust of the human heart is to give up the dirt of the human heart and use it as the food of truth and goodness in the heart!" Yin Hai explained to Ji Tian.
"Excuse me, what is the difference between a piece of gold being molded into a golden Buddha to be worshipped and being made into jewelry for decoration?" Ji Tian did not respond to Yin Hai, but spoke out about his own problem.
"The true nature of man is gold, and the so-called sludge and lotus flower are just the shaping of true nature, they are all transformed by the original heart of man, so if you want to give up the sludge, it is like giving up a large piece of gold, just being confused by the appearance of gold, it is really not the work of a wise man." Ji Tian replied directly to himself.
After Ji Tian's words were finished, the eyes of Zen Master Yinhai at this time opened slightly, his eyes flashed, and then he lowered his eyes, as if everything was like a breeze. It's just that the rosary in his hand is pinching faster and faster.
"Then people also have evil thoughts, and those evil thoughts are also the flow of human nature? If man's evil thoughts are born, should we follow them? Someone at the bottom asked.
"Man's evil thoughts are essentially the thoughts that emerge from man's nature and are shaped by karma, just like gold being forged into a sharp blade by a furnace, hurting others and hurting oneself at the same time, but it is still gold itself." Ji Tian continued:
"It's still our own thoughts, what we have to do is to let our minds be used for our own purposes, and we can forge whatever we want, and use it at will. Instead of being cocooned and self-bound, let your mind damage your own nature. ”
"If you have evil thoughts, you should know that this is the blade of life that my mind has turned into, and it is just my own thoughts, and I don't need to control it, and I can also forge it into a tool for my own use later." Ji Tian summarized.
"But what you said also has something in common with what Zen Master Yinhai said. It's all about turning bad into good. Someone questioned.
Ji Tian sat upright and continued.
"People's hearts are vast and boundless, like the sea, and the so-called righteous thoughts and evil thoughts are just a wave on the sea. The so-called merit is essentially the ability to forge one's own mind. ”
"But if we can understand that our true nature is already vast and boundless, then merit is as boundless as the ocean, just waiting for us to use it."
"If you regard your thoughts as your own nature, it is like trying to keep a wave on the sea from dissipating, so how can you have immeasurable merit, even the few merits will dissipate! You can't help yourself by going with the flow. ”
Ji Tian actually talks about the principle of "true self" in a different way, and uses the "Zen" of this world to describe the way of "true self".
The more I thought about ......it, the more I felt that what Ji Tian said was really mysterious, and he already had boundless merits, but he didn't understand it, so he couldn't use it, and he regarded a little ripple as his own nature, which was really a sacrifice.
"The layman is really proficient in Zen theory, I wonder if the layman has the idea of becoming a monk and cultivating Buddhism?" Zen Master Yinhai said to Ji Tian as if nothing had happened.
"This little gentleman, you really know a lot about Buddhism, can you tell the truth of Mr." The wealthy businessman who asked Yinhai about the idea of becoming a Buddha at the beginning said.
"I don't understand Buddhism at all, so I don't know how to reason, but in life, I have always been myself, except for being myself, the rest are delusions."
After all, the other shore is on the other side, and the Taoism on the other side, in essence, is also to be yourself!
