Because Mr. Wen believes that Teacher's Day should be a festival with great cultural connotation, and it should continue the long-standing historical tradition. Confucius is the most famous and greatest educator and educational theorist in ancient times, there is no one, his theories on education have been influential to this day, so it is very appropriate to use his birthday as the Chinese Teacher's Day.

Here I want to talk about Wen Desi's attitude towards Confucius and Confucianism.

It should be said that the attitude of the political power of the New China Science and Technology Socialist Party towards Confucianism was not friendly, although it did not smash the Confucian temples in various places like the "four olds" of the Datu Dynasty in those years, but the Confucian Mansion in Qufu was copied. This fate is all brought on by them. For these masters, the methods of "Tuogu reform" and "I note the Six Classics, and the Six Classics note me" are naturally no strangers, and soon all kinds of articles and works on the reinterpretation of ancient classics were published.

Among these works, not only Confucius's, but also Mencius, Xunzi, Wang Yangming and other works have been packaged and re-launched, as for Confucius himself or not, it doesn't matter. Of course, not all Confucian representatives were promoted, and Zhu Xi fell into bad luck and became the target of verbal criticism. On the one hand, his theory is indeed amusing enough, and it is completely incompatible with the theory of scientific socialism. On the other hand, his own character is too inferior, and in the end, he needs to find a person to blame Confucianism, and he must find someone with enough weight to come out and take the blame, so as to remove Confucianism from the stigma. Everyone looked left and right, and found that Zhu Xi was the most suitable, so "Comrade Zhu, for everyone's sake, you can carry this pot......"

Wen Desi's attitude is very clear: things like Confucius and Confucianism, which have become symbols of Chinese spirit and oriental culture, are very uneconomical to completely defeat them, and they will cause very serious ideological confusion. If China wants to carry out cultural export and cultural aggression, then it must first have its own cultural core. Confucius and Confucianism are things that have been precipitated for thousands of years and perfected by countless people, and have been recognized by the vast majority of people, so how can they be so easily replaced? What's more, these things have a strong influence in the surrounding areas, and if they are not used, then the brain will be in water. What the CSD did with Confucius and Confucianism was to transform and reinterpret it into line with its own values and theories.

In fact, the Socialist Party was not the first to do this kind of thing, Dong Zhongshu of the Han Dynasty took the lead in playing, and then Wang Mang also played it, and many people including Zhu Xi, Wang Yangming and so on, some of them succeeded, and some of them served on the street. Of course, whether they are servants or not has nothing to do with whether their theories are correct or not, only with the strength of them and their supporters.
